I requested a different stylist for my hair color after my first visit. My first color with her (requested brown and blond chunky streaks) was fantastic! My second visit 7 or 8 weeks later with the same stylist didn't look as good. The contrast between blond and brown barely noticable. My third visit with the same stylist was way too dark brown. The blond highlights were narrow evenly spaced streaks and looked so fake because they were so symetrical. I cancelled future appointments because I could not get consistant results. Also, at a new place today they reported that my hair was severly damaged from over bleaching during foils. For basic services this place is fine. But they do not have an understanding of how to protect hair from further damage by over processing. read more

My salon closed after 20 years, and I was heartbroken. After lazy looking for months and asking many questions, I found Chic Concepts. I made an appt and was seen within a couple of days (weekday day time) and waited less than 5 mins. after arrival. Consultation was great, I thought I needed something that wasn't necessary, and she told me! I love my cut. It's super fabo! In the end, I told her, "dealers choice" when she asked if I wanted my hair curled or straightened? It's included in the service, which is definitely a bonus and extremely reasonable. This salon is fantastic. They were able to squeeze me in for an emergency trial for hair and makeup the week before my wedding. Rebecca was my hair stylist and she was professional, kind, respectful, relatable and knowledgeable. I fully trusted her with my hair. She listened and was able to envision a look that would suit me. I was there recently for color and cut on a weekday. The salon seems pretty busy and I don't know how she manages it while the phones ringing and she has clients pretty much back to back but there are helpful girls who work alongside her. Stella the one who shampoos your hair is so sweet makes you feel like you're at a family get together like she knows you already. Back to the hair though I had my hair lifted with the help of olaplex. I also had my hair re-bayalaged and toned and cut. Total was as to be expected. Her prices seem in range if you Google how much a bayalage normally is along with olaplex treatment it gets pretty pricy. I was in search of a stylist who was nearby and had experience with olaplex. This was my first time and I love love the results. My hair was so fragile and I had so many split ends from repeatedly dying and bleaching my hair. Rebecca really salvaged my hair and it feels back to normal and healthy. I can finally run my fingers thru it and even though she gave me a trim and cut my hair still looks as long as it was it's nuts. Great place for the easy simple trim. I have long layered hair and sometimes I just need a simple hair cut, for me, this is the place for that. -also went to visit my favorite girl who regularly would cut my hair, and I hadn't seen for a while, but it was like we didn't miss a day of talk.. she remembered me and everything we ever talked about. This salon is great! Everyone is super nice and friendly and they know what they're doing! Both hair and makeup are very good and will make you look wonderful. I went there for an updo + makeup for a special occasion, and although I didn't know exactly what I wanted I still wasn't disappointed with the results. If you get both hair and makeup done, expect to pay $80 or more. It's worth the money, though! I will be coming back to this wonderful salon! read more

I just left here happier than I have ever left any salon before. Not only did I get a wonderful cut and color, but Rebecca,the owner, is so nice, and she has great energy. She has this way of making you excited for your cut/color while she is working on it that I really love. I can't say enough. I left the other day after a dramatic hair change very happy and I expressed this when I left. After a day of looking at it, I decided to make a few changes (not due to mistakes), so I called Rebecca and she was wonderful about bringing me back in to make sure I absolutely loved everything. Chic Concepts is the best salon around! The girls are warm, welcoming and friendly. I was looking for a salon that was trendy and fun and good at the current trends but not snooty and too big. I did not like going to other salons and having one girl for color and one for cut. They were never working on the same day and I didn't feel like they ever really knew me. Yesterday was the first time I have ever been here, this salon is nowhere near your average salon, the service from all the girls beginning with the owner Rebecca is something you have to experience for yourself. Chic Concepts did my hair and my wedding party's hair for my wedding last month. Rebecca is AMAZING! She was willing to work with me, my schedule and my vision from the very start. Her prices were straight forward and her costumer service was excellent from start to finish. I ended up not loving my original vision for my hair after my first trial and I felt really silly and also frustrated with myself, but Rebecca reassured me that this happens a lot and met with me for a second trial to make sure I felt fabulous on my day. She made sure she was prepared the day before the wedding and touched base with me. Morning of she was early and ready to get started right away. All of my bridesmaids looked STUNNING!!!! And their hair stayed stunning all night!!! So did mine! Not one hair out of place the whole day. (And I have a lot of thick, long hair....so this is saying a lot!!!) She also did my mom's hair (which is very short) and even helped my dad comb his hair to hid is balding spot and gave him hair spray....and she wouldn't take money for either! They both looked and felt amazing too! She also did my mother in law too and my jaw dropped when I saw her hair. She looked stunning and like she had stepped back in time!!! She can be picky about her hair, but she had nothing bad to say about it! My hair turned out great too. Rebecca took my ideas and helped me figure out something that would work with my hair. I love chic concepts. I get up dos, haircuts, my hair highlighted, and everything done there and I always walk out extremely pleased.

What I love about this place is that they are quick. I get highlights and a haircut in an hour! Wow! What I don't like is that you sometimes have to listen to the teenage girls gossiping amongst each other and that you have to put on your smock yourself. Today was my very first time coming in and I was blown away and this salon helped my confidence and comfort to make me feel welcome like no other. Maria was my stylist today and I have never had more of the most professional, sweetest, well knowledge of a hairstylist. I wanted to like this so much, after reading so many beautiful reviews, and waiting for awhile to get an appointment, but the whole experience was just awful. The salon is very modern and clean, but the whole time I was there I kept thinking "What did I do to deserve this?" I have almost elbow length hair that I've been growing out and cared for, well, for a very long time. I told my stylist even that I haven't used any flat irons or damaging products for over 4 years and my hair was a big deal to me, it wasn't damaged or colored. Just really healthy, shiny, thick virgin hair. The girl who was supposed to wash my hair didn't even wash my hair properly, didn't use any conditioner even afted I asked her to. Then the stylist came, who was supposed to give me a modern blowout for an event. She spent a whole 12 minutes on me, just literally tugging and pulling on my hair so hard, with a comment: "You have really thick hair. It has to be done like this." I doesn't. I just kept looking at my hair which wasn't smooth or anything. It looked nothing like the style I showed her. She seemed very disengaged and like she was in a hurry. To be honest, I didn't say anything because I just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible without crying my eyes out, even giving her a tip that was almost as much as the blowout itself - for ruining my hair. My ends looked like a broom. Just fried. My scalp hurt from all the pulling. Half of my hair was on that hairbrush. I just felt devastated. I will need to cut off at least 10cm of my hair. The moment I got into my car I started crying like a child, the whole way home. Never coming back here again. read more

Chic Concepts was absolutely amazing for my wedding day and the day would not have been the same without them! With 14 girls they had to deal with some on the very picky end with hair and makeup and others who didn't have any ideas and each and every person was so happy with the way they looked that day! Every person at the salon was amazing but Rebecca and Genavie truly went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect. Rebecca was so flexible with my changes in hair ideas and made sure it was exactly what I wanted. They were all so accommodating and we felt comfortable and had so much fun with lots of music, food, and drinks. They had a great system in place to keep things moving and we were also ahead of schedule! On top of all of this the prices were also great and our hair and makeup all looked the exact same at 3am as it did at 8am the morning of the wedding. Satisified Customer! when you go to a new hair stylist can definitely be scary. Not sure what or who your going to get doing your hair. I first noticed a freshly remodled salon. A very calming yet trendy appeal. I was greated promptly by staff and offered a beverage while i waited for my time slot. Rebecca whom i think is the owner of the saloon was the lady who actually cut my hair. A lot of these women just know how to cut womens hair which is why i wsa a little nervouse but i was recommended to this place by a good friend. I told Rebecca what i wanted and closed my eyes.
