They were recruited to be shills in the room to make it look like more people wanted to be there. Similar to how timeshare seminars put people in the room pretending to buy one. I asked all three would they have taken it if they had to actually pay for it? All three said no. They were all recruited by a narcissistic relative deep into MLM pyramid schemes hoping they could brainwash my friends into being ambassadors for their business. They must have had a deal going with someone at Psi because no way would this narcissist pay their way unless there was something selfish in it f. I did go to an after event for Psi grads. I recently attended the March 2020 Basic Seminar, led by Courtland Warren. I have done many personal development courses and never got a long lasting impact, but this seminar has made me understand deep parts of myself and has changed my daily habits (arguably the most difficult thing to do). I admit, it is a little cult-y, but I have yet to pay for a personal development course that was not. In order to feel lasting improvement you have enter an environment completely dedicated to change- which some interpret as maniacal brainwashing (which says more about them than the course itself). I highly suggest attending this course if you are looking to improve your health, work life, or personal relationships. I also suggest taking this course with a family member or significant other. I can honestly say my SO and I are stronger than we ever have been and have learned the skills to maintain this. I spent $12,000 on PSI Seminars and regret every penny. I've asked many people what they got out of their experience (who loved the seminars) and it's very hard for people to articulate what they got out of the seminars. For the leadership course people say, "That I am a leader." And they are happy with the fact that they spent $5,000 to learn "I am a leader." Which brings me to the next point. I've noticed that PSI attendees who are devotees of the seminars tend to sign up for a lot of seminars--they are always seeking for something outside them to make them better. They also tend to be gullible and unwise with money. It's shocking how many people who don't have much money attend these seminars (PSI encourages people to beg others for money to get them to the next level and many of the PSI classmates help fund others to go). Those who are poor and attend are praying the seminar will change everything but very few of my classmates have been able to tell me any significant changes in their lives after forking over big bucks to PSI. Some of the things we are forced to do in PSI 7 and LS are downright immoral and cruel. The reason is to use the LGAT technique: By spending approximately half the time making a person feel bad and then suddenly reversing the feeling through effusive praise, the programs cause participants to experience a stress-reaction and an "endorphin high". PSI 7 you will feel very stressed and miserable the first 4 days and then they turn it around and create false kinship with your "team" and everyone falls in love with each other and becomes a "family." This family falls apart after about a month when people go back to their lives and the emails and Facebook posts slow way down. I've also found that PSI people tend to be flaky and undependable--not anything like the family or friends you'd expect to get for $5,000! The leaders told us at PSI 7 the Basic course is the most advanced course and I agree that course offers the most tangible principles -- not that I recommend taking it at all but if your PSI friends are pressuring you to sign up then take this one and stop there. (there is a lot of pressure to recruit people esp. if they are taking the PLD course). The PSI 7 and LS are a blur of stressful activities followed by endorphin highs with little to no long term benefit (especially WLS, what a joke!) I feel you would be far better off getting a life coach or reading self help books than dropping thousands on PSI. This is not a magic seminar that will change your life. Only you can do that with a plan and daily action steps and the right attitude. Mentors help too. I attended PSI Basic in April and just volunteered as a staff person for Basic this past weekend. I wanted to write this because there is a lot of negative people willing to post negative reviews but not a lot of people taking the time to write their positive experiences. Mostly because negative people have a lot more time on there hands and the people that have had a wonderful experiences with this program are too busy having successes in there personal and business lives to worry about what is said on the web!! However I am reaching out to those that are doing their "just" homework and researching whether this is a good fit for them or not. Like thousands of others over the last 40 years this program was perfect for me. I am an above average achiever but many times I hit a wall and just cannot get that extra push I need to get over my limiting beliefs. This program is for anyone ages 14 to 90 that wants something more in there life and they just are not sure how to get it. I am a Christian woman and found this class to fit with my beliefs but it is not a religious program. Yes, they stretched me beyond my comfort zone. Yes I felt at times like I made a big mistake but after my first class I felt like my life had just begun at 50+. After staffing the class this past weekend I was able to find even more tools within myself to pull from. I am able to step forward past my limiting beliefs and release many obstacles that have held me back. I also found the people that are truly in this to help others are the most genuine people I have ever met. No where in my life have I been surrounded by so many people that are willing to help me achieve my goals and dreams. They do not get paid a dime for helping me but just do it out of the love they have for my life to be changed like there's. This company offers an excellent series of three classes to help with life skills (stress management, personal relationships, habits, listening skills, life goals, procrastination, emotional issues, etc.) I found them through Google when I was looking for assistance with career and life choices, and they really helped me clarify my goals and, more importantly, find more effective ways to reach those goals. It's somewhat similar to the management training and sales classes that large-scale organizations give to their top managers and sales executives, using some of the same exercises and techniques, but it's focused on individuals and on family life instead of on how to improve an organization's profit. I'm an engineer, and I'd taken plenty of professional training classes; I decided it was time to take a course in life skills. PSI Seminars has been in business for over 40 years; almost 600,000 people have taken the class. They provide solid, professional instructors; they won't waste your time. For those who worry about such things, the PSI classes are compatible with any and all religions; they have no religious content. And the Basic class has a no-questions-asked money-back guarantee. While I don't have anything negative to say about the PSI material that's presented, I did feel coerced to pay $4,200 USD for the Women's Leadership Seminar when I attended the PSI 7 course at the Ranch. That was April 2019. The Canadian dollar was already not good then. I should have listened to my gut and walked out rather than be swayed by all the emotional hype. You have one year from the time you sign to attend the Leadership Course which would have been April 2020. Of course, Covid happened. So my date was delayed to October and of course Covid is still happening. They are willing to let me take it sometime in 2021. In the meantime I lost my job. I also have chronic pain as a result of my April 2019 visit to the Ranch. And I could really use the money now. Although the policy is not to refund the money, I thought my age, which at 68 puts me in the vulnerable-to-Covid category, and the fact that I'm a Canadian and may never travel to the US again would suggest that the powers-that-be would consider being flexible and review their policy. But no, evidently flexibility is not one of the principles taught in PSI. Or care and concern for a person's safety and well-being. Be warned. Be strong. Don't let their emotional drama sway you. I've been reading all the negative press about PSI for awhile now and I usually shake my head and wonder how anyone could be so upset about wasting what they feel is such an exorbitant amount of money (probably the same amount of money they would spend on a weekend trip to Vegas--from which they would get absolutely nothing of any real value from--yet you wouldn't see them complaining about that). Today, I decided to share my views and, hopefully, balance out what's out there on the internet so the true seeker can make a more informed decision. So here's my truth. Much of the success, joy, peace and satisfaction I am receiving in my life today and many of the loving relationships I get to enjoy everyday can be traced to that one weekend when I took the Basic Seminar in 2004. I'm not saying I wasn't successful, joyful, peaceful or satisfied before 2004 and neither am I saying that I didn't have loving relationships before that. What I am saying is that for the last 12 years, there has been a such steady consistency of these things in my life that I just expect them now. When I have a bad day or I experience deep hurt in a relationship, it throws me off because this is such a rare occurrence for me. Did PSI do that for me? No, I did. I also have and always had a deep relationship with God since I was a child so I'll also say, God did. So why am I giving PSI 5 stars? Well for me, PSI deserve 5 stars because the Basic, PSI-7, WLS and PLD seminars truly gave me these amazing tools that allowed me to unlock much of what God had already put inside me and I honestly don't know what would have happened to my life had I never taken these courses. I was an Economics major in college (where I graduated with honors) and I have been an Economics teacher for 16 years now. One thing I understand is the importance of receiving a return on your investments. The money I invested in PSI is, by far, the best value for my buck that I've ever experienced. Instead of telling you what happens at PSI (really it is so much better when you don't know because part of the personal growth is just "jumping in and having faith in the process"), I'm just going to share a little bit of the outcome in my life since I took the classes. Right after the Basic, I started a homeless ministry in 2005 with a bunch of friends and it is still going strong and is in its 11th year of serving the poorest of the poor on Skid Row (in downtown LA) and changing lives there for the better. I have also been to the Philippines, Mexico, South Africa and this Sunday, I am leaving for the Middle East on my nth summer missions' trip. I cannot wait to minister to the Syrian refugees this June because one of the things I learned from PSI is that we can actually "change the world, one mind at a time." These refugees have only known fear, terror and hopelessness. I cannot wait to empower them with the knowledge that with God's help and love--and their own inner strength--they can move mountains and actually find new life in a new land and discover joy once again. I am also the director of two ministries. The first is a youth network that links public high schools and churches in LA together and it is in its 5th year of existence. We are seeing God's Word and His love spread throughout different campuses and we are excited to see things like drugs, gang fights, apathy, suicide and other things plaguing teen-agers today be slowly eradicated. The second is called Zion Healing and Restoration Ministries and our team of professionals help broken and abused women find empowerment and healing. We also help them reclaim their lives so they can live out their dreams and their destinies to the fullest! But I am saving the best for last. Having gone through two divorces and thinking I was "cursed" because I kept choosing the wrong men, I was able to do so much work in myself through the PSI tools that by 2005, I was able to recognize the "man of my dreams" and we got married in 07-07-07! We celebrate our 9th anniversary next month and I couldn't be more thrilled than I am finally married to someone who knows how to cherish and love me the way I've always wanted to be! (And yes, he too took the PSI seminars.) I also didn't have the best relationship with my daughter. I have three children from my previous marriage and though my boys and I were always good, I always had such a hard time with my girl. She was a teen-ager when I was taking the PSI courses and was in full rebellion mode. Developing a 10+ relationship with her has been, by far, the hardest thing I've ever had to do! Today, my daughter is one of my best friends. She is now 27 years old and she is beautiful, strong, amazing and talented...and I am her #1 fan! She is a preschool teacher/director and she excels at teaching her students how to have empowered, creative and happy lives at such a young age! (Oh yes, she took the Basic seminar.) The reason why I am giving PSI a one star rating is because they were unaccountable to do what they said they would do and were very disrespectful given the circumstances to me on getting a refund. I was invited to attend this course by a friend. I ended up in March paying $420 to sign up for a summer course. They were suppose to contact me to give me the dates before the seminar. They never did. I did get in the mail a letter from them and tried contacting the people on the page, no one returned any of my phone calls. After many calls to the Honolulu Office I ended up calling this California office. They said they would refund me within 4-6 weeks (It was July 7th) as well as the $50 deposit because it was their fault. The refund was post marked Oct 14th (took over 9 weeks to send it! Not 4-6 weeks like they said) to get here and they took out the $50. They were not understanding on the phone. Bottom line I do not trust them cause many times they said one thing and do another. read more

This company PSI Seminars is a scam and a cult. I attended the Basic seminar at the request of my sister who had attended earlier. My wife, who knows me better than myself sometimes, told me not to go. I wish I had listened to her. The price was $475 for the three day weekend course. It was a total waste of money. PSI uses all the "brainwashing" methods to get everyone in the seminar worked up to the point of crying. It was actually very disturbing. I understand everyone has their problems, buy PSI capitalizes on using techniques to get people in the seminar to expose very personal and very sensitive information on themselves. Many of the people in the class were loudly sobbing. They also use meditative techniques to get people to a more suggestive state. They also use the "bandwagon" effect of high energy, were all having fun, everything is great exercises. The whole semiar takes people through very high and low energy states. It is demeaning at times by telling eveyone they have some seroius problems and basically the only way to fix them is to attend the next (more expensive) seminars and also to bring more people to sign up for the Basic seminar. They use the RED/BLACK GAME to try to show everyone that competeing is not the answer. The answer is working together and this is why you all have problems. Basically, the whole "seminer" is a cult push to get you into a suggestive state to bring more people to sign up and to get you to personally sign up for more expensive courses. I have read MANY great books like "The Secret", "The Power of Postitive Thinking", "the Future is Your's, DO Somethign About It." All are VERY good books. I am a very positive person and I didn't need this course at all. I don't think anybody does. I should also state that my father amd mother both attended the courses (at the request of my sister) and they both agree that it is a very strange course that is trying to expand their business and get peoples money by by using very odd "brainwashing" techniques. My sister, looking back after several months of attended several expensive PSI courses, admits it was a mistake and basically a waste of money and even more so her time in trying to apply al the tecniques that they told her to do. My sister is also a Doctor, but she more "open" to suggestion than the rest of the family. We all look back on it it now as a bad experience for all of us - but welcome to life. Life has plenty of negative experiences and we all move on and hopefully learn from them. PSI Seminars facilitates transformational seminars that offers deep examination and awareness into our lives. Their offerings are not the typical seminar to where you sit and just listen to a presenter; they have created opportunities to exercise ideas to where you momentarily live the experience of the topic at hand and so it opens you to receiving idea/principle/message/etc. If you aren't willing to be fully transparent with YOU, then PSI is not for you. Or may be they are (chew on that). From my perspective, a lot of the ideas that PSI has presented are not new (I've heard them somewhere in my life, read, or heard on a podcast, etc) however, PSI offered me environments and opportunities to live experiences that underlined the message at hand. PSI provides a manifestation to that "aha moment". Many times I said, "Ahhh, so an so has said that to me before...that's what that means. I see it now, I get it". I'd suggest that one has to be open to themselves, willing to confront the secrets hidden within, and be committed to a better self--anything less will be deflected at PSI as their failure and not one's own narrow perspective. As far as cost, you have to be willinging to give value to receive value. It costs money to successfully run an organization and it becomes very apparent of the overhead if you attend PSI 7 or beyond. Further, having to place a monetary value on one's education raises the bar of commitment. If PSI did not charge a fair price on entrance, would one be all in or would it be easier to hand over one's membership card of personal integrity? There are several forums on the internet that opine PSI is a cult and drastically "spin" some of the events and teachings in their seminars--so far fetched that I built skepticism into my conscious as I embarked into my PSI 7 experience. Those spins were so far from the actual truth and exercises/events that I experienced, that we openly joked about many of them immediately after from disbelief of how twisted interpretation can become. Hear it from me, there is no exploitation or jeopardization of one's safety. Each and every person can choose what he/she wants to participate in without ANY shaming or guilt. On the cult notion: Yes we are! PSI teaches us to admire ourselves, bring value to ourselves and others, and make mankind better through meaningful connections. Finally, I encourage anyone who's considering PSI seminars as a tool for self-improvement, self-reset, and self-transformation to go for it! Don't let the negative detractors persuade you; if you do then you're letting them make a decision for you rather than you taking a chance on a choice for yourself. I took a PSI basic seminar in 2001, and re-audited again in 2010. I then went on to take the rest of the classes. It's phenomenal. I wish I had taken the advance classes sooner. In hindsight, I wish I took the advanced classes back in 2001 when they were first offered to me. It would have saved me a lot of money and aggravation in the subsequent years. The weekend "Basic" seminar is very good. Some of the content is similar to things learned in other development classes like personality quadrant analysis, creative visualization, and group win-win exercises. However the classroom setting makes it a lot more powerful, as people get to share experiences with others and keep people accountable on goals. Some people come out completely transformed. I came out of basic and started a new business. Definitely life changing. The week long "PSI 7" was phenomenal. Again, there are a few team exercises such as ropes courses that are similar to those taught in other leadership classes. However the group environment makes it entirely different. I have an MBA and 20 years experience, but learned more about teamwork and group dynamics in that week than I did in all my years working and studying. The week long Leadership Seminar was also great. I personally liked PSI 7 better - but LS taught me leadership skills that I never got in school or at work. I was thrown into the deep end of the pool when I led a group of 70 people in a community service project - and it was the best learning experience of my life. I'm attending Principia next week, and looking forward to another great experience. The advanced classes are a little expensive, but absolutely worth every penny so long as you come back from the seminar and apply what you learn there. read more

I have been to several personal growth classes by several companies. PSI is my favorite by far.
