    Beef curry

Ordered Beef Curry with rice. The curry was half of the container and it cost me $20. Bad business. No star is deserved but before posting I have to.

I've actually dined here several times and most likely will never return. I wish I could give this place better reviews if not for several factors that couldn't be ignored. This restaurant is desperate for some good cleaning. Our table wasn't clean and under our table was filthy and the floor was sticky. I believe there was only two people running the restaurant. One was running the front end. She was the hostess, server, busser and cashier. Then there was back end, the cook/dish washer. It was ridiculous.

The atmosphere of a restaurant serving Beef Pho is casual and inviting, with the aroma of spices and broth filling the air. The decor includes Vietnamese-inspired elements, such as lanterns, artwork, music, creating a unique dining experience. The Beef Pho is delicious ! The broth is super flavorful, usually made with beef bones and spices. It comes with rice noodles, tender slices of beef, and a bunch of fresh herbs like cilantro and basil. Squeeze some lime in there, with some sauces! It's a comforting and satisfying dish, perfect for a chilly day or when you're feeling under the weather or just to enjoy whenever!

I've had better food from other Vietnamese places. Service was excellent and friendly. I saw others leaving large amounts of un eaten food. So I'm pretty sure I'm not the only patron who didn't find this food to be the best.

14A. Hot & Spicy Noodles Soup - Bun Bo Hue
    Aleshka G.

I am not the usual type to write a review, let alone a bad one. However, what had happened today was indescribably disappointing. On February 23 2026, I was craving Bun Bo Hue. I was looking around where I lived because my usual spot, Pho House Restaurant (on Litchfield n Van Buren), closes on Mondays. I found PT Pho Express on 99th n McDowell. I look through their menu and found "Hot & Spicy Noodles Soup - Bun Bo Hue", I called their number (6239367633) at 4:56 PM. From what I heard, a white 20-30 year old woman picked up the phone. I told her about 3 times that I was ordering Bun Bo Hue. After 10 minutes my boyfriend and I arrived at the restaurant, he got off the car to pick up. As he got back in the car, it looked nothing like Bun Bo Hue AND didn't have the broth. Seemed like teriyaki beef on top of dry noodles with lettuce on the side. My boyfriend went back inside to tell the workers they gave him the wrong thing. They told him to look through the physical menu to see what exactly it was that he asked for. Nothing on the menu said Bun Bo Hue. I sent him the picture of what was on their website. Apparently on their physical menu it doesn't even say Bun Bo Hue, but rather Hot & Spicy??? That is literally what it's called in their physical menu. The workers were kind enough to give us the real Bun Bo Hue. As we came back home, the broth was extremely cold and odd looking. The noodles were all extremely small and cut in length by a ton. Am I eating rice? Once I heated it up, I was even more disappointed as it didn't taste like Bun Bo Hue at all. The meat is so flimsy and the texture to be described as grainy. Needless to say, I'm never coming back here. Save yourself and just don't order from here. Order from Pho House Restaurant on Litchfield n Van Buren.

Pho Burrito?! Has anyone tried it yet?

Friendly and fast service. Food was fresh and flavorful and very reasonable prices. We like coming here for dinner before catching a movie at Harkins. They had a PHO BURRITO?! Has anyone tried it yet? I might just have to the next time!

I instantly made a hard left to eat, vs go to my car. I wasn't sure what to get until I saw the summer special on the wall. Chicken or steak pho with egg-roll and soda for 15.99. For me, that is alot of food, but it was a good deal. Lol. Everything was great. I saw a second special as I was eating that was just the pho with a soda for 12.00 dollars. I would have ordered that, had I seen it. All is well, i decided to make the best of my first choice. I got the steak pho and chicken egg rolls. Everything was great. Love that they have hoisin sauce to add. The extras to put in your pho were great. Service was fast and reliable. There were very many to go orders and the restaurant was full. I didn't feel weird either, sitting alone as I dined by myself. The restaurant isn't big. But it doesn't feel too small either. I was warmly invited to sit and dine in, instead of order to go. These are the types of businesses our money should be going toward. The food is to die for. Of my three visits, I tried a new main every time.. but to start, I always got the beef sticks. They are soooo delicious. Seriously, the flavor is EXPLOSIVE. As for the mains, I can say the same thing. Explosive and fresh flavors. If you love veggies you will love their dishes! I didn't expect to like their soup to the extent that I did, it was WONDERFUL! Service is great as well. Each time, I got served by Isaiah (hope I spelled it right). He is super funny and kind. Honestly, he is very personable and a big part of why I keep coming back! And he is always happy to recommend a new dish for me to try. The decor is also very cute. It reminds me a lot of places I would go to as a child. The whole place, from the food to the ambiance, had a comforting vibe for me. Also, the music is fire I can't lie. I can't wait to come back!

And will try other things. I'll just make sure to check the order before I leave if taking it away. I normally don't like the rice paper egg roll. But they were well done and super fresh tasting here. My pad see ew came out perfect and was delicious. The Thai wings looked pale and I wasn't optimistic until I bit into them. The flavor was fantastic. Excellent use of spices. I do recommend this restaurant for a delicious meal. Good service. And slightly higher pricing but worth it imo.

My total came to $29, which I don't mind paying if the food and service are worth it. When I walked in, I honestly thought the restaurant was closed. None of the menu boards or TVs were on, and the menu wasn't clearly visible. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to order at the counter or seat myself. I chose to dine in, but I had to ask for everything, including water and dipping sauce for the egg rolls. I was the only customer in the restaurant at the time, so I expected a more attentive experience. When my pho arrived, I was disappointed. The vegetables looked brown, the portion was served in a small bowl, there was no tendon, and very little meat. The noodles were undercooked, and the broth had a sour taste that made it difficult to enjoy. I've eaten pho at many different restaurants, and unfortunately, this was the least enjoyable bowl I've had. I ended up losing my appetite, packed up my egg rolls, and left. I was hoping for a much better experience, especially considering the price.

A true one‑star experience is foreign objects in the food, cold meals, or no service at all -- and that's not what I experienced. I ordered takeout, and when I got home the food was still hot. This is easily a solid four‑star experience, maybe higher depending on what you order. I've lived on the west side for years, and I still haven't found a better Chinese takeout spot in the area. I couldn't tell you the timeframe of when the current ownership took it over from the previous owner when I first started frequenting Eest. The change was immediately felt. The level of customer care and taste of food changed. Not for the worst, but different. My last visit this month for an order of shrimp fried rice was my final straw and I will find somewhere else to find some food. It has been a very slow spiral downward with the quality of food. I am talking years where the consistency was slipping. Then last month it was as if they forgot what they were doing. What was served to me was edible, but nowhere near what I have been given in the past. I hope it was a bad day for the kitchen for the establishment's sake! Call in takeout orders have been a speed bump. You call in and you're quoted a time of when your order will be ready. You pay for your order when you get there. Then the clock starts. It totally defeats the purpose of the original quoted timeframe.
