We were here on a Friday night but they weren't busy- not even half the tables were full. Service took forever- everything from getting drinks to ordering to getting our check just took an unexpectedly long time given the ratio of staff to customers. Our food arrived quickly. I ordered a grilled ham and cheese. The meat portion was generous but the sandwich was completely dry, no sauce, and the cheese wasn't even melted, the bread was barely toasted. I was handed a beer menu but was told it was out of date. We tried to return the next night but couldn't find a table. There were four empty tables marked as reserved on account of the live music setting up but wasn't scheduled to play for another hour. We wandered around looking lost and no one bothered to greet us or help us. We asked to sit outside but they only turn on the fireplace out there in the summer and it was definitely too cold to sit out there without it. We left without anyone attempting to offer a solution or apologizing for being too full to accommodate us. I would not go here again. read more

This establishment could be great with its location and general atmosphere but has fallen way short for the third and final time for us. My husband took my daughter there about 6 months ago. They say and waited for 20 mins on a slow day and never were greeted by wait staff. My daughter is 4 and was starving. They left and went to Subway next door. About 4 months ago my husband and I went in for a bit as restaurants on the Island are in short supply and figured we would give it another chance. We were acknowledged by the staff upon entering and told to seat ourselves. We sat and waited and waited and waited for 15 mins. There were 2 other customers at the bar and 2 tables full with at least 5 employers. No one came to the table and no one gave us menus even after making eye contact with the staff several times. Again, we got up and left. Fast forward to now. We decided to go out with our friends for dinner and they chose here. We sat and were greeted by the waiter within 5 mins. Fast service this time but the quality of service and food was horrible. The hamburger buns were microwaved and soggy. The ham on my hot ham and cheese was stone cold. I ordered the garlic Parmesan fries and the kitchen served me regular. Instead of getting what I ordered I was given a side of garlic sauce that was 97% vegetable oil mixed with garlic. Was starving when we walked in. The only 2 customers just after noon. Ordered the Ruben $11 and the Hamburger $10. Very disappointed! Ruben was sliced deli meat, cold, French fries were cold. Hamburger seemed like it was a couple of days old, like rubber and overcooked, bun was dry and fell apart. Gave this place a couple chances, every time it seems to get worse. As I stated on my comment card, I think new management plays a big role in the quality going down hill so quickly. Man standing by the bar (dressed up?) would just stare at customers and servers making no attempt to help out on a busy night, kind of odd. My favorite beer, Boundary Bay, is on the menu, but I was told they don't carry it anymore. Might want to think about an updated menu, very disappointed in how this place has changed. read more

Good watering hole for a casual meal. After visiting several times I found the food to be consistently good & well prepared. And they have a very good beer selection and I'm no beer connoisseur!! However, the wait staff has never been more than mediocre when it comes to customer service. Unfortunately on this last visit I noticed unswept floors, with sizable chunks of smashed food, around several tables, including mine & for the hour-plus I was there no attempt was ever made to clean it up. Went out with friends for a quick dinner. Sat out on the patio. Appatiser were the bomb. We had stuffed halepenio wrapped in bacon and the sausage plate. Pizza was good and my arugula and basil salad was awesome. The guys had burgers and one was really dry. Stacy was just awesome and took it off the bill. OK...2nd visit with my son. LOVE the glass enclosed outside seating which was not finished before. Here on Camano the persistent wind makes sitting outside uncomfortable w/o a jacket. Prompt service, altho they weren't that busy. My previous review about a year ago wasn't the best but willing to give it another try. At least they had a dark beer on tap this time. Both of us opted for a hotdog which we never do....the bratwurst with spicey...oh yeah! mustard & sauerkraut. I asked if I could have extra kraut...no problem. However, when delivered I asked which was mine & she said she just had extra kraut put on both...what? We opted to get just the dogs as didn't think we could eat anything extra. My son didn't like the bun...I did...but we both agreed it should be TOASTED. The difference between a good burger/excellent burger is a good TOASTED bun...it outta be the law. This was the 4th visit to this restaurant for Taco Tuesday and is our last. 3 of the 4 times, my wife's order was somehow misplaced and arrived late. Tonight it was 15 minutes late (3 steak tacos). In each case, the kitchen staff had "misplaced" the order and while the waitress was kind and well meaning, it does not excuse the clear lack of competent management or kitchen staff. The food is great and most of the staff is polite. However, I was there tonight for dinner. It was around 5:45 and the place was starting to get busy. I noticed a young couple (who are children of some friends of mine) were also having dinner. I asked my server who their server was. They told me X. I politely asked X if I could buy the couple their drinks. X said angrily "ARE YOU KIDDING ME" I realize they were busy, but asking to pay for someones drinks is a very small and normal thing to ask. I asked who the manager was and has luck has it, it was her. As an aside, several other restaurant employees were in earshot and apologized for her behavior. It's hard to believe a manager of any service business would speak to a customer like that. read more

Have been curious about this place for a while and found out they are family friendly and not just a 21 and over crowd, so I was very happy with that! We sat outside and had a super yummy lunch and it was very reasonably priced and our server Colby was excellent! She was friendly and fast! Our definite new favorite spot to go and loved that they played awesome country tunes from the 90's!! Relaxed but cheery vibe! We'll be back for sure!! :-D read more

gave this place another chance and it's going down hill!! our burgers were practically raw, when i mentioned it nothing was done, drinks were absolutely awful, maybe all the actual bartenders quit. i kept my reciept and gave the serever a $3 tip 10% for awful service, somehow i was charged an extra $10 and ive been charged for the same visit 4 times now according to my bank statement!!! i called and the so called manager made vauge excuses and then tried to make it sound like i read my statement wrong, so im out an extra almost 150 cause they dont cate and the manager is probably in on stealing from the customers if he doesnt even care to resolve the issue read more

The pizza I've tried is good. I haven't tried other stuff but have heard a couple times that's it's pretty bad. Service was absolutely horrible the last couple times I was there. The place was just about empty and it took about 15 minutes just to get a beer because the waitress was having personal conversations with other customers, which was a lady from the previous Diamond Knot. It went about the same the rest of the time. Only about the third time in my life that I didn't leave a tip. Hopefully the wait staff has changed and I'll give it another try some day. read more

The service is slooooow and that's being nice. I think on this island you don't have to know how to bartend or be smart as long as guys think your cute. The bartender is to busy flirting and chatting to do her job and thinks cause she has big boobs she can just smile after being such a horrible bartender and leaving you without beers for 15 mins it should be ok. Which brings me to beer. Pretty decent beers but watch what you buy, most beers say one price for a 22oz but in actuality you get a 16oz. Very overpriced. Food was mediocre at best. Im assuming the guys at the bar goo gooing over the bartender will keep them busy and I guess it makes her feel like she's doing a good job cause she seemed to have no idea she was a horrible bartender. Hopefully they find better staff as it seems not serving is what their servers are good at. I'm giving one star cause I have too. Camano really disappoints when it comes to places to eat. read more
