My wife and I stopped in last Saturday to check this place out and have a couple drinks. We didn't eat here, so I can't comment on the food.... The first thing I noticed was an unpleasant odor as we walked in. I'm not sure what it was, but it smelled like sewer gas. The bar was full, so we sat at a table. The service was acceptable, not fantastic, but not bad either... As I observed the operations, they seemed a bit disorganized overall. As for the ambience, the place has potential, but they had way too many lights on. It just didn't have a relaxing feel. We ended up staying only for one drink that night, mainly because of the smell. I can't believe people were eating there. I think most of their issues could be attributed to being a new place, maybe this is their first shot at a restaurant business. If they fix whatever is causing the smell, I would probably give them another shot. This place is within walking distance for us, and we'd love to have some additional options. read more

Our family just are here literally a couple minutes ago. As fast as we were out, I felt so obligated to to write a review! This little spot is amazing the food is on point and so is the staff. More than pleased with our experience we ordered a burger with their seasoned fries and a side of sweet potato fries for our daughter. It was Sunday night, place was packed. Looked short-staffed but the servers were attentive anyway, I would normally expect a little more check-in service on drinks but really the place was sooo busy. Anyway, the orders were accurate, even with substitutions, extra sauces (which they specialize in), etc. What really stood out was the food. Best burger-fries-sauce combo I HAVE EVER HAD. Had the goat cheese burger and sweet potato fries with Bourbon aioli - OMG heavenly! The food was out of this world, perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. But, the service was hideous. Sadly, it really affected the experience. While the food made me feel like I was at a 5 star place, the service made me feel like I was at a fast food joint. It was slow, impersonable and the staff just looked worn out and tired. We waited a long time for the wait staff to attend to the table, and when our server finally did show up, she blamed a slow kitchen. The food is delicious and packed with flavor. I have tried both the buffalo burger as well as the buffalo chicken and was pleased with both items. However, after a recent visit I feel it is important to let the owner know how displeased I was with what happened during the visit. We were placed at the table in front of the entrance to the cocktail lounge upstairs with hardly any room to move the table backwards (away from the doorway) secondary to the proximity to the table behind us which was full of patrons. During the entire meal we had waitstaff asking us to get up out of our seats because they wanted to use that doorway to navigate upstairs. It wasn't once or twice which would have been tolerable, but this happened the entire meal. You disrupted our entire outing with guests from out of town and it was extremely irritating. While the food is exceptional, I left the restaurant questioning if I will ever return. For future reference, please do not seat guests in such a compromising area then expect them to oblige you by moving out of their chairs. read more

I live all the way in Palm Bay so Cocoa Village is quite a drive but I'd be willing to drive that far for this place again. We found this place searching on yelp a few weeks ago looking for a new place to eat. It is such an awesome place. Been there about 3 times now. Haven't found anything on the menu that wasn't great. We visited Pub Americana on a Sunday morning and they were moderately busy but we were seated right away. Their menu had a good variety of burgers, pastas, pizzas, appetizers, and salads. Typical fare with a creative flare. I had a hard time deciding but I chose the curry chicken crepes and got fries instead of the recommended vegetables. The curry sauce had a pretty good flavor but everything else it was covering, including the chicken, was bland. It definitely needed some seasoning. My wife got the cognac chicken crepes and also the maui onion soup. The same could be said about both of those. We weren't very impressed. I do want to try some other things on the menu so I will most likely be back for a burger and maybe the poutine appetizer. The atmosphere and vibe has potential. They have tables both inside and outside. The bar looks nice and fully loaded so it seems to be a cool place to hang out on a Saturday night for beer or cocktails. read more

We've been to this restaurant two times. The first time we had a bad experience - we ordered a cheeseburger and bit into it and the cheese still had the wax paper on it. Also we had the onion soup, which was recommended by the server and it was terrible. Tasted like straight Sherry. But we figured it was just because it was newly opened and needed to work out the kinks, so we returned about a month later. This time we were seated and waited 15 minutes until any server even spoke to us. We ended up ordering cheeseburgers, 1 on a gluten free bun with vegetables because the fries I was told were not gluten free and I must eat gluten free. When they brought out our food, both of our burgers were wrong. Mine had fries and was missing onions, my husband's had lettuce, tomato and onions, none of which he ordered, and no cheese which he did want. So we told the server and they took my husband's food back. I kept mine, started eating my burger and just waited for veggies. After waiting again the owner brought my husband's burger out. And it was once again wrong. This time it still had onions and was on a gluten free bun. When we questioned him he then told us that the bun I had been eating was not gluten free (which it actually was)! And that he was not a mind reader so how is he supposed to know what we want on our burgers!! He continued to argue with us and eventually my husband told him we were done with that restaurant and he proceeded to give us the worst attitude with absolutely no apology or even any courtesy. Would not even make eye contact. It was one of the most unprofessional things I have ever seen! Needless to say we will NOT be back. If the owner had a better attitude about the situation we might feel differently but as it is now we will not be giving him our business. read more

My Greek burger was amazing! Place just opened 4 days ago so we expected some hiccups but it took 75 minutes to get our food. The place wasn't even that busy. We waited for 30 minutes for our 2nd round of beer. My wife's Cajun burger came out raw even though she ordered it well. Owner dropped by and said they'd have the burger right out but never came back and checked on it. Took 30 minutes for that to come back. Didn't have the Cajun sauce on it and they never brought her fries. Kids chicken strips were hard and burnt too. Then we waited for the check forever. As a resident of Cocoa Village we frequent all the restaurants in the village to include pub Americana. Last night the 3 of us went for dinner and I have to say, it was one of the most disappointing experiences we have had in the village. After ordering and waiting over 45 minutes for the food to arrive, we were told by the server that they had a large group and they were understaffed. There was no concern at all for the delay we were experiencing. We asked to speak to a manager who recited the same line, basically they were too busy and understaffed. We paid for our wine and left for Ryan's pizza in the village. This experience represents an unfortunate shift in employee training at Pub Americana where customer service is certainly not a priority nor a focus at all. It's unfortunate as this used to be a favorite dining location but has fallen off the list of restaurants to visit in the village. Fortunately Cocoa Village is experiencing a restaurant expansion so there are more suitable locations to spend your hard earned dollars and avoid Pub Americana until they can resolve their staffing and customer service issues. read more

We were there last night for the first time. We had the curry chicken crepes, the starving artist pizza and a burger. The food and presentation were great. Hand cut fries, fried dill pickles and generous drinks. The staff was youthful, high energy and very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was busy compared to the other restaurants in the Village but we were seated quickly and beverages arrived quickly. We will be back - with more friends. Went to Pub Americana for the first time Sunday. It is an interesting addition to cocoa village. It adds class and a new twist to the area. Inside it has lights and modern music and the staff was genuinely friendly and passionate about their work. I saw them working together a lot as a team which I admire. When we went , it was very busy and there wasn't enough room at one table so Arturo (the owner) sat our kids at the bar which they loved. The bartender made them special drinks and the server catered to their needs as well as ours. All the food we got was delicious and the portions were huge. I took home the rest of my Cajun penne for a midnight snack. My server was funny and very personable. She started by telling us all about the specials and specialty drinks. Overall poor quality, uninspired food. The chicken crepe was exceedingly dry (more of a jerky crepe) and the vegetables (which they claim are local) included over steamed frozen vegetables.The burger was dry and tasteless. The portobello was overdone and lacking flavor. They were out of most beer we asked to try. Overall a waste of money if you're looking to enjoy a dining experience. read more

It was absolutely horrible!! I saw a male employee who was working walk behind the bar and take a shot of vodka and continue working. all the employees hang out in the back by customers tables playing with their hair,cussing, loud music coming from the kitchen and dirty everything on the table. The kitchen manager came out and was yelling at another employee and cussing at him. The food made me soooooo sick for the next two days.Probably because of the roaches I saw near the restrooms.At the end of my meal the kitchen manager came out and I guess cut his thumb bad and he was still working with a blood soaked paper towel that's it and it was bleeding every where. My boyfriend and I have been here twice. The first time our experience was terrible due to the fact that it was so hot in the restaurant not only were we sweating but the entire staff was drenching in sweat. This time (tonight) we went in to give this restaurant a second chance. My boyfriend got a beer and I got a glass of wine. My wine was so cheap I got an instant headache. We order an appetizer and each got an entree. Our appetizer came out about a minute before the entrees did leaving us no time to even the eat the $14 appetizer. I cut my burger in half and ate almost half of the burger. I stopped eating because I was feeling very sick to my stomach. I take the burger apart and see the avocado on my burger is black, which means it's rotten, and the burger is dripping in grease. I pushed my entire meal to the end of the table making it clear I was no longer eating this meal. My boyfriends pasta was so greasy it was literally dripping off his fork to the point where he would have to shake his fork to get some of the grease off to where he could eat it. He ate maybe half of his pasta(half is being generous). My burger was $17 for a burger with cheese, egg and avocado. The waitress asked if I wanted regular fries or sweet potato fries so I chose sweet potato fries. She never said it was a $1 up charge. She made it sound as if it was an "either or" scenario, not an up charge. Our waitress saw that we did not eat our food and did not want boxes. We only got a box for the appetizer as we did not get the chance to eat this thing that cost us $14. Our server did not ask why our food was not eaten nor did she communicate with the manager that we did not eat our food. She did not check on us once while we had our food at the table and seemed to be in a hurry to get us out. At the end, our meal cost us $57 and some change and we ate maybe 10 bites between the both of us. I am so disgusted with this experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more
