While I still believe that Pub n Sub has gone downhill in recent years, they still have good sandwiches and pizza. Their focaccia crust personal pizzas are amazing, and I'm also a big fan of their hot sandwiches. It's a bit expensive, but I think that it's mostly worth the price. read more

Husband had the #1 half which is still LARGE, but I ordered the Italian sausage I think the young girl forgot to put in my order to the kitchen. Finally the older man was sitting down eating his lunch noticed I kept looking back at the kitchen asked me what did you order? then came and told me it would be out in a minute. It was good but it was chopped up sausage that's not what I thought it would be I envisioned a hot dog like sausage. My husband had already finished his so he had to sit and wait for me to finish. As far as their food goes, it is generally really good; they have super good pizza (half-price monday & friday), $1 taco-Tuesdays, cheap wings on Thursdays and cheap pitchers that night as well. The staff is super friendly, except for one chick who works there and is downright rude, she should be fired. I really like the pizza here so I bragged to my entire family from florida, virginia and tennessee about it. I previously rated them a 5, however I had to change it because today (after my entire family craved it after our comments of its amazingness) I called beforehand to see how much it would be for 4 pizzas for pickup and she told me it was half off but I'd have to come in, to clarify I asked " can I drive there order in and pick up" she said yes so I drove 30 minutes to order these pizzas mouth watering and all just for them to give me an attitude " no its only if you DINE in" why the **** didn't you say that on the phone before wasting over an hour of my life? I enjoy the pizza here but service is just as important if not more important than the product. After today I will never be back. Not only did I not get the pizza I wanted but I also was totally embarrassed for even bragging about it. Good job pun n sub.. Every Time I visit my hometown I never pass up an opportunity to eat at Pub. Their food is always great (subs and pizza) and the value incredible....especially when it's half priced pizza night, which seems to be more often than not. The backyard is chill and shady so even those scorching days can be enjoyed outside. read more

The First resturant I ate at in Reno. Get there at happy hour and then buy your pizza at 6 on Monday Friday or Saturday (Half Price). The combo has an excellent smoked sausage. Be careful with the small, it tends to be over cooked but still tasty. The clientele is mostly college students from UNR and friends of the owner. read more

Well, I have to change my review of the meatballs after I bit down on a pea size piece of bone. I love the meatball subs and pizza. Originally I couldn't say enough nice things about the pizza. I was introduced to this place by my wife years ago, and it's one of our family's favorite haunts. I would have to say the pizza is probably the best in Reno. But don't miss out on their garlic chips either. And even tho they are known for their pizza and hot food, their sandwiches are awesome, especially the 8a. My favorite unr spot to hang out with friends. 45 cent wings and inexpensive pitchers on Thursdays bring me in, but they also do great subs, pizzas, and the best burger I've ever had for $10. Called in my order for a 2 topping medium pizza and was told it would be ready in 20min. I show up 20 min later, pay for the pizza and get told it will be ready in a couple minutes...another 25 minutes passes and I see several people come in and get their pizzas while I sit and wait until finally someone working there goes in the back and finds my pizza, hands it to me saying that he doesn't know why I wasn't called, and that it must have happened during shift change. Get out to the car and look at it...talk about stingy with the toppings, it looked like the charlie brown Christmas tree pizza! read more

Pub n sub is great. It's locally owned and they use some of the best ingredients. It may seem expensive at first, but it you go on a special day it's an amazing deal. You get so much food for so cheap. It's also really good for vegetarians, because there are quite a few options on the menu. Some of the ingredients seem like they shouldn't go on a pizza, but don't diss it till you try it. Try one of the pizzas that are house specials, you won't regret it. read more

I have been ordering from Pub n Sub for over 10 years and they have great pizza. Unfortunately their customer service is getting worse. Today I ordered two pizzas for take out. When I arrived and paid I saw the cashier go back and ask the cook about my order. I was told they were just finishing up and they would call my name. I waited for nearly 15 minutes without my name being called. The lady who told me this also walked past me several times and didn't check. I finally went up to the window and asked. The cook said they had been set aside for pickup about 10 minutes earlier. The guy had a very rude tone and didn't seem to care. The frustrating part was that I saw the cashier tell him I was here. A few weeks earlier I ordered for curb side pick up and arrived around 5pm to get my pizza and called to let them know I was out front. They said they would be right out. After several minutes I called again. The lady said they had forgotten about my order due to the shift change. It will be quite awhile before I go back. read more

I ordered a garden salad for delivery with extra 1000 island and was brought Ranch. I did not order ranch and DISLIKE RANCH with my salad. So, I called them back and let them know and the girl that answered the phone remembered and told me, yeah, she wrote that down and she does remember me requesting 1000 Island. I then was transferred to someone else who did not announce who they were... (maybe a manager) I don't know but i wasn't informed when they got on the phone. I told him that this complaint may seem a bit petty but I'm upset. I take it more seriously because i don't eat ranch with my salad. He said that unfortunately it wasn't wrote down. I told him that i just spoke to the girl and she just informed me that she remembers and did write it down. So, he said he is looking at the ticket and theres nothing. So you are just going to have to settle with Ranch and call it a day. Absolutely not. I then said if thats his response i would like a refund. Your more than welcome to pick up the salad. Im very upset. And then he offered that they can deliver the 1000 Island or i can just throw the salad away and never order from them again. Im just devastated. My co workers and my whole campus where I work FAITHFULLY order from Pub n Sub weekly!! It is our main GO TO place and i can not believe that was said to me. A very cute, chic restaurant and bar. They have very cool workers and the pizza there is great. If you're looking for a little place to just hang out and eat without having to go to the sports bar you should definitely go there. Depending on the night will determine how busy. I love this place and have been here many times, my friends tipped more then 15 percent and we spilt some water and they had us clean it up, which we cleaned and we were fine with cleaning but then we were confronted by two women that told us once we get our food we have to, "Get the fuck out" we got our food and after cleaning the water they told us that we are not welcomed again and we asked why and they said because we spilt water. I understand that we were in the wrong spilling water but getting cussed out for cleaning it up was something out of the ordinary, we waited 40 minutes for our food and got cussed out for spilling water, we tipped well and I believe that the two women were being very disrespectful, even though we cleaned our wrong doing which was an accident. If you are thinking about coming here be on your toes because if you do anything out of the ordinary they will ridicule you and treat you what they told us, "you are 5 year olds" So don't go if you might be human and make a mistake because they will capitalize on it and kick you out and spit in your food. read more

Ever had pizza with no pizza sauce? Well, I have. i spent $23 on a Treehugger that had barely any sundried tomatoes, no walnuts, lettuce substituted for the spinach - you heard me: when the staff ran out of spinach, they thought lettuce a valid substitute because, according to the management 'they were doing the best they could' - and....no sauce. As it was a to-go pizza, i only discovered this heinous creation when i had gotten home, starving, taking two bites before.....chewing....and.....wondering....why this pizza tastes.....like nothing. Because, in case you are wondering, pizza with no sauce tastes. like. nothing. It tastes like chewing on a $20 bill- which i would like back so i launched a dispute w my bank to get my $23 back. Apparently the staff thinks your meal is a joke. i hope it was edible to raccoons as it went straight into the trash. Please refer to my photo for this sad disaster. I went to Trader Joe's that night and got their $4 3-Cheese pizza. It was delicious. read more

The Tree Hugger is by far one of the best pizzas I've ever had, but isn't usually included in the half off pizza time, unless you sub the olive oil for marinara sauce...weird. If you want a chill, relaxed hang out, don't come here. You're likely to run into tons of people from the University...at their drunken, awkward states, nonetheless. There is a reason this place has been around so long! You might think it's just a dirty college bar.... And it it... But... The food is amazing!!!! Their sandwiches are heaven and their pizza is to die for!! The hubby and I can't ever decide whether to get sandwiches or pizza, so we get both!! We always order a half a turkey sandwich (it's huge!!!) and a medium pizza... The sandwich always comes out first, so that's out appetizer, then when the pizza comes out, we each have a slice or to, then take the rest home!!! Nothing better then cold pizza for breakfast the next day!!!!! And they are not skimpy on the ranch! Jackpot!!! We have also ordered the chicken strips... Great! The garlic chips... Great! Went up to desk and asked why so long for a salad, and was told that the entire order was thrown out and never made. I was told it would be another 10 minutes to get the salad done.
