Place was busy. Servers were friendly and ranch was free!! The jalapeño bacon garlic knots were tasty. I didn't like that they grabbed ones that were already made and threw them back in the oven to warm up, same with our whole pizza. My fault for assuming whole items would be freshly made. It is a pizza by the slice spot so that is what you are getting. Slices are also warmed up for you. Pizza didn't have the sauce and cheese ratios I like, no cheese pull, and it wasn't hot. I was really disappointed with my experience at pizanos pizza . It seemed like they simply reheated pizza slices that had been sitting out all day instead of serving fresh pizza. The crust was dry, the cheese wasn't even fully melted, and the overall taste reminded me of the cafeteria pizza we used to get in middle school. Even when a "fresh" pizza came out, the cheese still wasn't melted, which made it seem like it wasn't cooked properly. If you're expecting hot, fresh, made-to-order pizza, this place falls well short. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. I gave this place one star only because the pizza bites tasted good but the pizza bites were sitting on a shelf and they put those in the warmer as well. Lol read more

I go to Reno about 4 times per year and usually arrive around 9pm. I have tried various casino dining options and can say that the City does not have an excellent selection of late night dining options. As I walk through the city, dozens of restaurants close up for the night. At times it appears a complete ghost town. I have eaten dozens of times at Pizanos. The pizza is not very good. The crust isn't made by high quality ingredients, too much cheese is used and the toppings can be bland. I think Dave Portney would go on a rant about how poor the overall taste of the pizza is. HOWEVER the staff is great, the value is there and you could do far worse at other nearby pizza places. read more

We've been getting pizza here for quite awhile. We've done it all - eat in, delivery, and take out. Since I only live 2 blocks away, the take-out is really the best option. We were hungry, cranky, did not want to fix something but really didn't want to "ear out" so Pizano's was the best choice. I was going to order on-line and pick it up, but the order site was a bit confusing to say the least and getting pick-up didn't seem to be an option. So I walked over, asked how long it would take to get a "Build-your-own" large pizza. Aaron said 15 minutes. Total came to $28.34 including tip. Not bad for a large pizza. It was boxed and ready to go within 15 minutes. Is this the BEST pizza in town? No, but it is good - toppings were generous, flavor was adequate, and it filled the empty spots . There was enough for left-over pizza for lunch the next day. Yep, nice to have a quick-fix of pizza so close to home. Reminder to self - take a picture next time. read more

Ordered through Uber eats- highly disappointed I ordered a 10" 4 cheese w/ pepperoni. I requested XXTRA, XXTRA sauce as well as butter and parm. As you can see, it's super dry with no sauce, let alone extra. The bake was super light as the pepperoni taste like it was straight out the pack. The cheese was okay. Crust? What crust? Mrs. E. loves this pizza. I do not. It's not bad, there are a few others in town that top it and it just doesn't pack a punch for me. The attraction to Pizanos for me is their sandwiches. Especially, the meatball and the bbq chicken. Something you have to try is the Penne noodles in the edible pasta bowl. That's more fun than anything! I admit I'm curious about the wings. I've read good things and a couple neighbors have backed that up. Clearly we have more research to do by way of tasting. They are at Sierra and 1st, just up from the water. We had a little difficulty with parking so now we mostly call for delivery. At least they're reliable. They're fast, too. On both our visits the folks were terrific. We ordered the garlic chicken, the pizza had zero flavor, the crust was thin but had weird seasoning in it. We also got a plain cheese and the crust was the same. I was over at the Italian festival, but I didn't stay very long. All of the food booths had ridiculously long lines, and the prices were pretty ridiculous. The food may have been good, but it wasn't worth waiting for....... I was walking back to my hotel, and I passed this place.. The place was clean, and everybody was very friendly. As I was putting in my order, I joked with the clerk that I had "just left the Italian festival". Another lady sitting at a table, said "me, too!" She said that the pizza slices there looked very small, and the prices were ridiculous. So she also just came here instead. We chatted for a few minutes on how humongous that festival had become. Not nearly what it used to be. I had two slices. I had a veggie slice, and a chicken bacon Alfredo slice. The slices were huge, and they were delicious! Lots of cheese, lots of toppings, lots of everything. The crust was also just the right texture as well. I really really enjoyed my lunch. I had the special, two slices and a soda, and I paid just shy of 10 bucks before tip. An amazingly great price, for some fabulous pizza. Working downtown during the week, there are few places you can walk to without your total being $15+. This location serves pizza by the slice which is rare to come across nowadays! The shop itself stays clean despite the wide array of people that come in and out of the location The menu includes whole pizzas, wings, and calzones among other specialities. My go to for lunch has often been their pizza by the slice accompanied by a regular drink. Some of their regular pizza offerings include pepperoni, combo, cheese, veggie, and chicken bacon. They have a rotating specialty pizza every day of the week, but I tend to stick to combo or pepperoni. The pizza sits out but is but through a rotating oven which warms and keeps the crispness of the pizza slice. The dough is thin which I prefer in pizza - but can be messy as it does not stay together when picking up. I would say pizza is alright when you are looking for something (cheaper) and convenient in the downtown area. My family and I have come after a movie night out at Riverside Theatre and weekends tend to be busy and family friendly inside - but the small outdoor patio area could use a good cleaning and clearing out along with the bar guests next door taking over the outdoor family ambiance in the evenings. read more

First time trying this pizza place and it wasn't bad. The pizza was delicious. The service could've been friendlier but it was fast.

We stopped for some slices because the slice deals couldn't be beat. We got the slice, salad, drink deal, two slices, and a drink deal, which allowed two of us to eat for under $20. They heat the slices really quickly. The salad came in a pie tin twice the size we thought it would be. The salad was a massive bed of mixed lettuce with sliced tomatoes and carrots, and we added banana peppers with ranch dressing. I like to shake some parmesan on top of my salads. We enjoyed the pepperoni and loaded slices and loved the chicken bacon and Alfredo slice even more. The crust was perfectly cooked and had a seasoning in the dough that made it taste good, even without the extra side of ranch I used to dip my slice in. My son and I decided to grab a late dinner on a Sunday night and after roaming around to find a place that will allow minors (Playfield 76 will not), or that was open (Silver Peak was closing before 9pm) we landed on Pizanos. Very happy we did! They were quick to get or order in, and quick to get the food out. They have a huge menu with lot's of great pizza options to choose from. They also have salads, panini's, wings, pasta, and many other food options other than pizza. We opted for the very standard pepperoni pizza and bbq wings. I was happy the pizza wasn't overpriced, which I'm finding at more and more pizza places these days. I really liked the pizza, more of a thin crust but overall a quality slice of pie. The wings were good as well and we both left satisfied with leftovers. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good pizza place downtown, I may even order for delivery next time. We ordered takeout from Pizanos and were not disappointed! They have a pretty large menu consisting of much more than just pizza--they have pizza, salads, wings, sandwiches, and more. Prices are affordable and there are several different size options to ensure you get the amount you're looking for. We got a large Combo pizza (basically like supreme), cheesy garlic bread, and an order of mild buffalo wings. The large was big enough for 2 people with a few slices left over. Plenty of toppings, good crust, well made. Cheesy garlic bread was a nice side, I like that you could order it as a full loaf or half a loaf. The wings were actually my favorite part! The mild buffalo was the perfect spice level for us and they were comparable to some of our other favorite wings in town. We got some sides of ranch which made the pizza and wings even better. The motif and environment reminded me of the pizzerias in New York City: order at the counter, pay for your slice/drink then sit at the tables and wait for your food (if they had to heat it up). Their staff were friendly and the service was quick. My pizza, sadly was a disappointment. Aside from the fact that the crust is almost burnt and hard, the sauce was also bland and without flavor. When I tried to fold the slice to bite into it, the whole crust crumbled and broke into small pieces. But I was hungry and had to eat it. Would I drop by again, most likely not. read more

"Pizanos Pizza" has a good location. It is next door to a movie theater. It is close to the River Walk. It is close to The Row, and a lot of other downtown hotels. They sell pizza by the slice, but they also sell whole pizzas, flatbreads, sandwiches, wings and salads. I've only visited Pizanos as a slice joint. Ordered their 'Feed 4 #1' meal for my family of 4 (kids age 12 and 7) and it didn't come anywhere near feeding the 4 of us. Two small pieces of pizza each (my 12 year old ate one of mine and then looked at me like where was the rest of his dinner) and a lettuce side salad. I ordered delivery via GrubHub and I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. I've been meaning to try this pizza spot for awhile and I'm glad I did. They have a pretty extensive menu and offer a gluten-free crust, which is a huge bonus for me. Their gluten-free crust is good, it's very thin. The GF crust only comes in a 10" medium size which comes out to be 6 small slices. I tried the sausage, mushroom, and olive and it hit the spot. I wouldn't consider it my favorite, but it did the job. I like that it wasn't super chewy like some GF crust I've tried. My husband tried the combo, he's a bit picky about his crust, he said this one was pretty good. We also ordered a Caesar salad. It was big enough to share with 2 people. It didn't come with croutons, I'm not sure if they accidentally left it out or if they meant to because I was ordering a GF pizza. I was okay with it because I would have just picked them out, but my husband had to add some croutons we had at home. I'm happy to put this in the occasional pizza rotation.
