I've been ordering almost every Sunday since Pizzava opened in Midtown. I due to my loyalty I will not harm the business with less than 5 Stars. Issues: 1. They are now using Door Dash for deliveries. I live two blocks away and have always received my order in the 10-15 minute range. Tonight over an hour and nice and cold. 2. I assume there may be change in staff but I counted the extra pepperoni I paid for which totaled 8 on the whole medium pizza. I counted the sausage pieces 10 small balls on the entire pizza. (I ordered the Backyard as I always do.) Very disappointed and question if I will continue my Sunday tradition. read more

Was craving pizza late night after ice skating at the grand Sierra resort and after a lot of yelp searching I found this location. We went to restaurant and ordered to go. The cashier lady was honestly so sweet and lovely. She took my order very prompt. We ordered a large half Hawaiian half pepperoni a cheese bread and a cinnamon bread. The order honestly took less than 20 minutes. Same lady that initially helped us was the same one who gave us our order and made sure all our order was complete. When we got to our hotel we pretty much finished the whole pizza. Their dough was really good and cooked very well. First time I actually ate the crust and I usually don't. The cheese bread was also very tasty and not overly cheesy and my boyfriend loved his cinnamon bread. This location only has a store front and no dine in option, just keep that in mind. Pizzava is some great simple za, that absolutely hits the mark. Is it the best pizza I've ever had? Probably not, Is it delicious, fresh, cheesy and all the things I want in a late night bite or pizza night? Absolutely. They don't have any tables or seats, other than a bench to wait for takeout, but they kindly let us enjoy our za onsite still, which honestly we devoured pretty quick with our group of 6. It's nothing fancy, no crazy speciality pizzas or fancy toppings, just some classic, traditional crust, perfect amount of sauce and cheese ratio pizza. They cut it in triangles, for those who care and offer ranch, that being said, no notes! Prices are very reasonable and our group of six ate two large and one XL, classic cheese and pepperoni. We were pretty hungry because nothing was left, but we all left full. They also have delightful desserts, highly recommend the carrot cake! You know over the years I've had Pizzava but I just recently had one of their pepperoni pizzas in January and it's was really good. Great ratio of sauce and cheese. And it's fresh. Also the service was great. I walked in to pick up and the woman who cashed me out was super sweet and kept a nice conversation. Although it was still good, it was also little mid due to the temperature (or lack of). Oops I did it again! Pizzava + RSL for a fantastic night out or wrap up of a busy work night too! This time the Meataholic was on the menu, which has ALL the meats! Ham, sausage, bacon, pepperoni and lots of cheese and red sauce is a combo that always wins in my book, and Pizzava doesn't miss. The giant tub of house ranch too for $2 is the real hero though. Well, that and the friendly and speedy service! Future me says I probably won't do the Meataholic again though. It's just too much topping for the dough to handle here. I like my pie to have a bit of structure and this one really folded under the weight of all that meat, grease, and ooey gooey cheese, not to mention I could only enjoy two slices because it was SO heavy! Was on a tour of the Midtown murals with a number of Rotarians from the Reno-Sparks clubs when we came upon Pizzava. Some of us decided to sit down at The Par next door for some drinks. We found out that they didn't serve food on Monday's or Tuesday's which is fine, so we ordered some pizza from Pizzava and boy were we glad we did. The crust was awesome, the toppings were delicious, and the speed with which the pizzas came out was lightening fast. It has to be some of the best pizza in town. Every weekday morning, I watch Chris Murphy and Taylor Winkle on channel 11. Today, they had Pizzava on , for National Pizza Day. All the news anchors LOVED the pizza. They enjoyed it so much, it made me want to have pizza for dinner! So, at 8am, I decided what my family was having for dinner. I never had Pizzava before, and my goal this year, is to try new places! Today, we celebrated the 5-year milestone of Pizzava, our community-driven, family-owned, slice of heaven in every bite pizza masters. Five years for anything; whether a career milestone with the same company, or a business serving the elements of uncertainty, and Pizzava has proven themselves worthy to be notable as a community icon. Today, from 10:30am-4:00pm, or until the dough was gone (is it ever truly 100% gone though?), this crew of hero's tossed dough, swirled sauce, sprinkled generous amounts of cheese to hand out large cheese pizzas for an amazing $2.99/each with a "reasonable limit" per person. I picked up two after making the journey from the North Valleys along with a couple others via an online order that was not logistically timed to when the cheese pies would be ready since you ordered those in-store only. After receiving my order about an hour after arrival, I made the trip back home and put the cold slices in a 400-degree oven for 5-minutes on a pizza stone and everything was restored back to its original perfection!
