Wow, what an experience we had here! We loved the outdoor seating and our service was perfect! Our pizza and pasta was incredible and tasted so fresh and unique! I didn't think it could get any better until we ordered the ciccolato budino for desert! This was by far one of the best deserts I've had in a long time! Oh my, I can't wait to come back!

Standard-level food and service experience in a busy but very aesthetic environment. The patio is very pretty and has a privacy fence separating the seating from the street.

Came back to DOPO for yet another 2 for $30 Tuesday. I am so sad to hear that it's going away, bring back 2 for $30! That's what I feel like is an actual reasonable price. I can't believe we managed to eat 5 pizzas between 5 people, this time the Espana with the chorizo was my absolute favorite it had all the elements of spicy and sweet at the same time. A crispy amazing crust as well. The cherry picker was good as was the ananas. Sometimes I find the center of the pizza doesn't get crispy enough because it's just loaded with toppings that weigh down the middle, would love a very thin yet crispy and held completely together slice. Love coming to Dopo their new location is amazing and has a lovely patio!

I have been to DOPO well over 10 times since I discovered their cute little location in Midtown and over half of those stops have been at their new location downtown, and it continues to be one of my absolute favorite places to get pizza in Reno. I have a great appreciation for the simple, yet varied menu that also provides multiple vegetarian options for my partner. This time around we went with the Cherrypicker, the Verde, and the Brasare. The Verde without chicken came very close to filling the hole that has been left in our heart with the Grasshopper not on the menu currently. The Cherrypicker is one of our go to hits and never disappoints. And this was the first time I've tried the Brasare and the classic combo of pork and apple was delectable. Colleen is our favorite server in the world and we are so happy to have her every time we swing by for dinner. She is a pleasure to be around and elevates the whole experience.

Having dinner at DOPO was a great way to celebrate Father's Day. This was our first time at this location. My hubby absolutely loves pizza and he remarked that the DOPO pizza he had was similar to the pizzas in Naples. He ordered a margherita pizza with prosciutto baked on top. Flavors were excellent. The crust was perfect too. I ordered their spaghetti and meatball. The pasta is homemade and the texture was spot on---the noodles are smaller in diameter than regular spaghetti....giving it an artisanal profile. The meatball was also good--it just needed a bit more seasoning to enhance the mild flavoring (salt helped). It was beautifully plated which added to it's visual appeal. Next time, I would ask for more sauce, as the dish leaned on the dry side. For dessert we had a pistachio ice cream affogato. It was outstanding. Perfect way to end the meal. The patio is a very pleasant, large space and a nice setting to dine. It's one of the prettiest patios in town. Service from Jodie was also excellent---friendly and perfectly attentive. We'll return to try other menu items and for sure my pizza-loving hubby will be back to have more of their pizzas! Definitely recommend for others to try DOPO.

Wow!! I can't believe it took me so long to check out this spot, so glad I finally did. The restaurant is large, nicely decorated and offers outdoor patio area to enjoy the nice weather when available. The service was expedient and excellent, our server took great care of us and was super friendly and welcoming. The food, absolutely delicious. The pizza's are made with a slow-fermented dough that creates the perfect crunch and is topped with fresh ingredients and bold Italian flavors (San Marzano tomatoes, fior di latte, fresh basil, and a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil). We had the Fig and Pig and the Margherita and both were fantastic. We also ordered the Besciamella handmade pasta which featured perfectly al dente fettuccine with garlic, shallot, white wine, grana padano and mushrooms. It was excellent and fortunately I remembered to get a picture before it was devoured. We also shared the Autunno which included mixed greens, candied hazelnut, feta, pomegranate and a maple-dijon vinaigrette and it was finger-licking good. Dinner was fantastic and I can't wait to visit again next month with family to celebrate my daughter's graduations.

The hubby and I caught a nice day and wanted a patio experience. We headed to what was Sizzle and found Dopo in its place. Surprised we headed into there beautiful remodeled patio area. Plenty of seating and shade. We were greeting by a lovely lady who informed me the fig & pig pizza was popular. I opted for this pizza and was not dissapointed! I added stracciatella mmm mouth watering. The fig & balsamic complemented eachother while the crust was light, crisp and baked well. The hubby did not have any complaints nor did the mini we brought with us who was trying to steal all the cheese. The wine was lovely but we were sad to hear it was the last shipment the owner would have as the import cost was getting too high. We really enjoyed our lunch and plan to return for a dinner to try some of the pasta on the menu.

First visit to the new location and what an amazing transformation! Popped in on a Thursday night and the place was packed with the wait out the door. Sadly, it's still not big enough to accommodate its popularity in the winter months, but when the summer rules around that patio is really lit! The vibes are low-key and the decor minimal which means you can focus on your company and the food, which is exactly how I like it. Menu is simple easy to understand and everything on it is done well. You can't come here and not get a pizza because that's what made them famous and for good reason. I've never tasted crust like this and it's gotta be because they take three days to make that dough. This time around we kept it simple with the Tony's NYC and that house made sausage and Crispy curling pepperonis never disappoint. Added a fresh Caesar salad salad highly recommend getting the bigger one because even though you can't share the small one you're gonna want a little extra. We also had to go with some of their spreads and breads and tried the sweet potato gluten-free flatbread with the eggplant dip, and it was divine. Cocktail menu is also kept clean and neat and I tried the Alpine old-fashioned and enjoyed every sip. The service slaps because the team is passionate about the product and they know it inside and out and make sure your experience is always exceptional. If Dopo has not been on your radar, put it there right now and make it the next place you go.

Why did I take so long to try DOPO?! This is absolutely on the date night restaurant rotation now. Since our first visit we already planned what we were going to order next when we came back, and have planned multiple dinner dates with friends here too, it's that good! They have great specials like margarita Mondays, 2 for Tuesday pizzas, and wine Wednesday, so you always have a reason to come back and try more. My boyfriend and I consider ourselves fake wine drinkers (Stella Rosa all day) so our servers offered suggestions based on what we liked and what would pair with our meals, providing us samples before we ordered! Super helpful and now we have a bunch of new favorites. The small servings of salad are a great size to share, and both the caesar and the autunno were delicious, but the maple dijon dressing on the autunno was my favorite! The pizza dough is made in house and super light and airy, you won't be in a food coma after! We've also had the besciamella pasta with mushrooms and it is FANTASTIC! Creamy, cheesy, comfort food heaven. My boyfriend also really loved the marinara. The desserts are also delicious, can't go wrong with the tiramisu but the bundino is my fave! Like a thick pudding/mousse but better... can't describe it, you'll just have to try!

DOPO caught my eye on yelp because of the great rating and the entrancing-looking dishes. I've stopped by this place a few days ago thinking of dinner (around 8 pm), and boy, it was PACKED. The inside and outside was literally crowded with people. So, I came again yesterday night for it again. We came at 4:30 ish, and it was not too busy. Some guests here and there, but overall really quiet. We get a small ceasar salad, a fig + pig pizza, marinara pasta, and the bisciamella pasta with chicken. The ceasar salad was great. The dressing was really light, so it was a clean and refreshing appetizer. Perfect to prep your palette. Totally not sharing size, though. The fig + pig pizza was my absolute favorite! I'm usually not a big fan of arugula, so being served a pizza with argula covered all over it was not a reassuring sight. Surprisingly, it was actually really good! It was probably because of the balsamic! This dish was my favorite out of the four. I absolutely loved loved LOVED the subtle sweetness of the fig spread. The fig spread worked like magic with the parmesan, and it tasted like a snack on the crunchy crust. Totally heaven in a bite. It was so good, I had three slices. The two pastas were pretty bland to me, and they came in a small portions. I don't have much comments on it, either that the marinara doesn't have enough meat. The food came really quickly, and I loved the vibe of the interior. There's something so casual and chill about the place that gives laid-back vibes. The staff were really fun, though I didn't catch any names. They were all open to small talk and all friendly and bubbly. PS! A staff member told me that pizzas and wines are at a cheaper price any time before 5 o'clock!

Poppin' on a Friday night bit still quick, friendly, and delicious. We sat at the high tops near the food prep view so we were entertained by the staff busting it out. Thanks for a scrumptious date night!

Bar & restaurant area of the new DOPO much larger than the former midtown location and cutest outdoor area with a fire pit

Love the new Dopo location and the food was just as we remembered it -fresh, everything home made and felt like we were sitting in a charming caffe in Italy. I believe their menu has also been expanded since their midtown location. We had the NYC pizza which was a combo of the thin, small crispy pepperoni, and Italian sausage and also the Bechemel fettuccini with garlic grana pardano Parmesan and mushrooms. The pasta was thin, light and dreamy and the pizza crust and flavors on the pizza was everything you could ask for. There were a variety of Italian wines to try as well, and we opted for the Sangiovese to complement the meal. But definitely save room for dessert. We almost passed, but once we heard the menu, I couldn't resist trying their homemade gelato, which I tried the pistachio and my husband opted for the chocolate cream caramel dessert with homemade cream on top that was a buntini I believe but came out more in texture like a mouse... both desserts were AMAZING!! There was also a homemade tiramisu offered, and another chocolate dessert with your choice of gelato. The Pistachio gelato was nothing like I've had, but tasted truly like pistachio. It was more of a cream color than traditional green, which I really appreciated. There was no big nuts in it or graininess just velvety and smooth -one of the best I've ever had! The service was very accommodating and friendly as well. We can't wait to visit again soon!

If you are in the downtown Reno area, DOPO Pizza & Pasta is an absolute must-visit. We sat inside by the bar and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was top-notch--attentive, friendly, and really made the night feel special. The food, however, is the real star of the show: * Focaccia Bread: Honestly amazing. It had the perfect texture and was the best way to kick off the meal. * Meatballs: Incredibly flavorful and tender. They are a "don't miss" item on the menu. * The Pizza: Easily some of the best pizza in town. The crust is phenomenal and the toppings are high-quality. The atmosphere inside is great, but we couldn't help but notice the patio--it looked so inviting that we've already decided that's where we're sitting on our next visit. Whether you're looking for a perfect date night spot or just want some of the best Italian food in Reno, this is the place. We'll definitely be back!

Ask the Community - DOPO Pizza & Pasta

Can people with Celiac eat at the new, larger location? Wondering if they've taken any steps to limit cross contamination.

Does DOPO allow dogs on their patio?

I want to say no because it looks like they extend their dining area to the outside patio.

Does anyone know if the homemade tomato sauce has onion or garlic in it?

We had the Bolognese last night and it definitely had plenty of onion and garlic in it - it was delicious!

    Are all the pizza's 14"?

Yes. They only have one size. Yummy.

As a guest of the hotel, I had a 20% coupon and promptly used it at the ticket office, though I think I should have picked my seat better. Nonetheless, I was in the second row and I was able to get a good look of the magic up close. If you arrive early, you can hang out for Happy Hour, they had some unique drinks including the local standby beers and cocktails...and mocktails for those attending the all-ages show. I recommend seeing this show on a Friday or Saturday night if you want a bit more rambunctious, racy show.

Last Friday night we went to the White Rabbit Theater. We got there 3 minutes before happy hour…read moreended so we got 2 specialty drinks for $20 instead of $18 each. I wish I had ordered two. After happy hour ended a bud light and high noon was $18. I can't believe they turned the old movie theater into a magic show theater. I sat there thinking about all the movies I saw at the Hotel and the first time I had a drink in a movie theater so long ago, 1989. It was fun in the bar prior to the doors opening they have a magical experience for adults and kids to set the mood for the evening. Tracy the bartender was awesome! She also works at Blitz during the day. She has the kindest soul and such a people person! It was like I had known her for years. They have a box office where you can purchase tickets. Very hard to hear the gal! They definitely need a microphone to speak to each other. If you think you're going to save a few extra dollars on those service fees - you may have to think twice, just purchase on line. It's much easier. Also, they have a snack bar with fresh popped popcorn $9 -$13 and huge pretzels $14. Chase Hasty and his wife have traveled around the world to over 25 countries sharing their magical talent and ballet dancing skills. My favorite part of the show was when Chase brought out a locked box and Hoisted the box with a rope up to the ceiling and told this guy to watch the box. Later in the show they opened the box, it was a pretty impressive trick!!! One not to be forgotten!! It's a small production but well thought out with couple extra dancers and costumes changes. I love that Chase, picks people out of the audience to help with the show. Maddox was a return kid that had been practicing his magic and Chase let him perform in front of the audience and what is that called "That's Magic!!!" It's nice the performers will met you afterwards in the hallway to have pictures and ask questions. It's a great family night or you can come to the later show at 9pm for a little more risky nocturnal show. I'll have to save that one for another time!
