This is a cool quirky spot. It is a bar inside a hardware store. They offer some pretty good food and all the normal drinks you would expect from a bar. I've been here probably 3 or 4 times and everytime, the service from the staff is great and what I order is solid. The drink proces sometimes seem a tad high but I get it, for the area.

    Oyster shooter down!

We have been coming here for years. It is pretty dependable as far as food and drink. We had oyster shooters this time and they were good but not great. They were better the last time we were here about a year ago. Still a reasonably priced place in a fairly central position

Food was SO good, and my salad had super fresh ingredients. But the real highlight was the exceptional service, which we have come to value more than anything. Our son has profound nonverbal autism. He subtly became agitated when unable to find his music on his iPad. Dana quickly grabbed his iPad and went into the back to connect to their private server. Then Ryan came out from the back and asked what music he could have piped through for him. They already had switched to classical music after noticing his iPad preferences. It's been a long time since we've seen such compassion and unexpected, proactive service like this. Really good food. Amazing service. Wonderful experience.

Great concept and food. It's a hardware store with a bar and restaurant. I had a great margarita (not a mix) and halibut salad. Amazing onion rings!

Old Fashioned and a nice cool beer.

From the moment you step in, you feel very welcome to this unique dining experience. The food was very fresh and tasted amazing, the staff were very friendly, and the vibe was casual yet energetic. When in Cannon Beach, make sure to stop at Screw & Brew!!

It's just surprising how few people know those customer service skills still. Secondly, coming from Portland, Oregon, if they were located in Portland, even with all the competition that Portland has to offer, I would be coming to them for their upstairs burger with bacon. I think it's one of the best burgers I've ever had. I ended up getting the wedges which were recommended and they were also exceptional. Just note that minors are not allowed. I ended up grabbing a beer and doing takeout.

For food, I ordered the Standard Burger with tater tots. The burger was delicious, juicy, and the bread was super soft. Easily a 9/10 for me. We also tried the fried chicken gizzards which were surprisingly really good - solid 8/10. Also worth mentioning they come in a FULL basket, so definitely great portion size. The cup of chili was just okay for me, probably around a 6/10, but not bad by any means. The highlight honestly was our bartender 10/10. Great personality, patient, and we genuinely enjoyed our small conversations throughout the night. Loved the local vibe here and would definitely return next time we're in town!

#THANKYOUTHURSDAY On…read morethe way home from our Cannon Beach overnight trip last weekend, we decided to swing through the Seaside Outlets. I mean, what kind of Washingtonian are you if you don't stop at at least ONE outlet mall? No tax, people... We mainly came to the outlets for Nike, Bath & Body Works, and Carter's. Being wine & beer lovers though, the name of this spot intrigued us. We were pleased to not find anybody else in the store except for the older gentleman working. The store is laid out nicely and is spacious. They've definitely got more wine than they do beer, but they've got a lot of both. The wine selection is phenomenal. So much! They've got wines from Oregon, California, and Washington. So many different kinds. I had a blast looking over all the different bottles and making my selections. My husband was also really happy with the beer offerings here. If you want to enjoy something in the store, you're able to do so. They have both wine & beer on tap available for consumption in the store. I didn't get the gentleman's name who was working, but he was so sweet and so helpful. I was having troubles picking between a few certain wines, and he helped make my decision and it was clear he was super passionate and knowledgeable about the products. Going further on that, he noticed my husband's beer selections and suggested a handful of other beers for him based off of the flavors he seemed to like - aka, we bought more beer than my husband intended ;) Even after grabbing two bottles of wine, and quiiite a bit of beer, after discount we only spent $60! There was a discount for a certain amount of cans (15% off for 8 I believe) and on the wines I snagged apparently too, which saved us $12. Highly recommend stopping by The Wine & Beer Haus if wine and beer is your jam. Outside of the wine & beer we got, the service was spectacular and I can only hope all the employees who work here are like the older gentleman who helped us out the day we were in. Thanks, The Wine & Beer Haus, for helping us add to our stash! ;)

Kind of like the feeling of coming home. The place was packed -- just a testament to their very good food and excellent drinks -- there was even a couple sitting outside and they had a fire going. Wish I had taken that photo. It was a really beautiful moment. The place was decorated and felt very holiday festive with small bright lights reflecting off the tin ceiling. Excited to have a couple of days on holiday here. Stopped in to pick up their latest version of fudge because Christian the Baker keeps evolving the art of fudge making...and you don't want to miss an iteration. Using the owner's grandfather's recipe as the base, he makes some of the best fudge in Oregon. Tonight I was told he decided to explore a Mediterranean approach and added nutty sesame to the fudge. The sharp but soft chocolate is a perfect compliment to a delicious drink on a cold, cold night. While I was waiting for the fudge to be packaged to take back to the fireplace in my room, I spied their latest culinary endeavor sitting in jars on the counter... and actually started salivating. They are now serving Pickled eggs. Incredible. When was the last time you had a pickled egg? When done right, pickled eggs are among the most satisfying and clean bite of delicious ungrilled, ungreasy proteins in the world. And the lounge has decided to serve two different kinds, so we might've died and gone to heaven. If you love eggs of every kind, as I do, boiled eggs hold a special place because they are hearty and compact and completely whole. So when you add a spices and acid to that perfection...it emerges as "wow." The service was attentive and thoughtful always, and I was told they're open New Year's Eve until 9.
