Half the Benantis grinder! As my partner and I split it

Must stop by! We were Just passing through and stopped because the food reviews were so good! And they were spot on! We got the chicken parm sandwich and the benantis grinder! Both were so delicious and packed with fresh ingredients and flavor! Wish we were in town longer we'd try more! Such welcoming staff and such a fun interactive little dive bar. This place really caters to anyone! And with great vibes and free pool and the best sandwiches you can't go wrong!

Salami and turkey, look at all that meat! Sooo good!

The very best sandwich and food for miles. I am so glad I found this place. 10/10. Why aren't there more reviews? I have no idea, but if you go you will be back! There sandwich's are so loaded, only one place close in Portland, taste tickler. We drove from cannon beach in hopes of finding good food for a good price, not anything really good in cannon beach, just overpriced, low selection. Make the drive to gearhart and you will be driving everyday guaranteed. The best sandwich ever!

    Great food

The BEST bar! The drinks, the vibe, the food, the staff, the view! It's got it all! Run, don't walk there, and then just chill!

This place rocks. Awesome staff awesome food and super cool view. Lulu loves it here.

A chill beer in a very chill spot

Easy to drive by and overlook this casual gem. Perfect spot after a day on the water or gardening if you are local. Great selection of draft beers and friendly staff.

A hidden gem of Seaside!! After traveling all day, my friends and I stopped by the Pearl to unwind and get some easy dinner before heading to our rental. The set up was something we didn't even know we needed. There was seating at the bar, at tables, and at a cool green couch around the corner that overlooks the river. Of course we chose the couch. As we got settled in with a drink and some queso, we broke out one of the 20 something games available for patrons! We went with Jenga, but there's board games, card games, dice games, and even a pinball machine. The menu was small, but every option we tried was great! We stayed much longer than we expected and it was well worth it. I would recommend The Pearl to anyone looking for a good time with friends! Chips and Queso - smooth and creamy, not spicy Muffuletta- heavy on olives and meat (which we love) Beef Frankfurter- great quality dog, hot and fresh French Onion Soup - hearty and lots of flavor

This place is the BEST!! They have grilled oysters and frozen Palomas and the best Italian Grinder I've had on the west coast... and maybe even on the east coast (sorry Jersey..). I would have added a pic of the grinder but I was so hungry I ate it as soon as it hit the bar. Go here!!! It's fun, relaxed, has free pool, and is women-owned, so you know it's clean.

Beyond…read morethe visibly run-down and unsanitary environment, there appear to be serious concerns regarding its operations and responsible service practices. The establishment is known for significantly over-pouring alcoholic beverages. While some patrons may view this as a positive, excessive alcohol service is irresponsible and raises legitimate concerns about compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Even more concerning is the apparent willingness to serve individuals who are visibly intoxicated and then allow them to leave and operate motor vehicles. This presents a serious and potentially dangerous risk to the public. The overall condition of the establishment is dirty, poorly maintained, and unacceptable. More importantly, the apparent lack of responsible alcohol service raises concerns that should not be dismissed. It is extremely troubling that these issues appear to persist without meaningful intervention. I strongly believe the appropriate city authorities and law enforcement agencies should investigate this establishment and determine whether it is operating in compliance with all applicable health, safety, liquor, and public-safety regulations. The situation warrants serious attention before someone is seriously injured or killed.

The woman behind the bar, may have been the owner, was so kind, caring and attentive. She made conversation with me over my license from Colorado, asked my name and remembered it as I was leaving saying "have a nice day, Nate" Soooo sweet and kind. A true gem of a human. She even had regulars that she said "I told you when we were on that hike that I owe you a drink so this ones on me" freaking precious. Okay now that I'm done praising the owner/bartender. The food was exquisite too. I got a basic cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce. It was cooked well and was enjoyed heavily and quickly haha. The cook even came by to check that I liked it as well. Very warm place with great food. Much enjoyed. The place was clean and kept up well. This was one of the first dive bars I had been to where they had slots and that was a bit of a twist. I didn't roll the dice on them as the only thing I gamble on is once a year and that the horses at the Kentucky derby. Keeps my gambling in line and doesn't upset the in-laws too much. If I visit Seaside OR again, I will absolutely find myself back here for another delicious burger and friendly interaction.

I would say try the local beers on tap but I'd be lying again (they have 5+ on rotation, maybe all the time idk but tonight they have 5 and the ones I had were fantastic and tried a couple more tasters). If you're going to stay by the water you should come here for two reasons..... 1 )the atmosphere is cool and relaxing with great music from the 70s - early 2000s, and an amazing patio (I came in a Sunday night and it was "slow" [what I expected from a Sunday night]) 2) the bartender is awesome. Without a single clue what to do in Astoria (first time visitors), we parked for $10 in the Port of Astoria lot on the west side of town. It was a warm day, and we were hungry, so we took to Marine Drive to look for breakfast and this was the first place we saw. It says they serve it all day. I don't think they have their own lot but street parking doesn't seem to be a premium here. Later on, we discovered that this place also made the vet staff's recommended list which was a happy coincidence. It says on the door that they don't have public restrooms, which they don't, but they do have a men's and women's restroom for customers. Nice ambiance with the nautical theme and some slot machines (is gambling legal in Astoria?). I particularly liked the piece they took from a real ship called Raven and perched a fake raven on it on the wall. Makes the little goth in my heart happy. You order at the bar and the lady who took it wasn't the friendliest. P told me in retrospect that service was slow and she had a bit of an attitude when I asked him whether this place warranted a 4 or 5. I guess she did, but all I noticed was how good the food was! The workers breakfast for $14 is outstanding! The sausage patty is luscious with a nice bite of heat. They make your eggs perfectly and they cook their potatoes skin on in a skillet that leaves the edges with a nice crisp flavorful crust. You need the toast (we both ordered dry wheat) to mop up the egg and eat with the sausage to fill you up. Honestly, haven't had a breakfast where every single element of it was all of great quality. Plus, it's an almost perfect portion of food. I know I want to go back if I can just convince P to ignore the attitude. Another cool local hangout. There was a jolly bunch of older men drinking, laughing and chatting that provided an awesome soundtrack to our visit.

Big Kahuna Pub and Grill has been serving Seaside since around 2007, and somehow it still feels like one of those hidden little local secrets you have to hunt down to find. The place is small, busy, and definitely popular with the locals, so things might take a little longer when the crowd rolls in, but honestly that is part of the charm. Everybody seemed friendly, laid back, and happy to be there. Five stars just for the atmosphere and kindness alone. And then there is the Bloody Mary. Good grief. The thing comes stacked with enough food to count as lunch, including the famous burger sitting right on top. It is one of those ridiculous creations that sounds crazy until you see one go by and suddenly every single person in the restaurant wants one. Their Bloody Marys have basically become coast legend status at this point. The menu itself is pretty simple and straightforward, burgers, comfort food, drinks, nothing overly fancy, just solid beach town food done right. Sometimes those are the best kinds of places anyway. If you are wandering around Seaside and want something that feels more local than touristy, give this little hidden gem a try. It may be tucked away, but they have definitely made a name for themselves.

The Moscato was flat and obviously opened long ago. The beers were fine. I also ordered a cup of clam chowder that was excellent. Best part of the meal. Our entrees of fried oysters and halibut fish and chips came quickly. The GF felt the oysters were too heavily battered for her taste, the fish and chips were quite good. Waitress came back to check on us when we were almost finished eating. Had to go track her down to get our check. Another restaurant that survives on tourist volume and not quality of product or service. Wouldn't go back - though the chowder was tasty.
