My visit here was on October 5, 2019. After some issues debarking the cruise due to technical issues, we got to our driver to get us back to southern New Jersey where we would be staying for a few days before going home. All of us needed to use the restroom, so we stopped at this rest stop. This was a typical rest stop, but not like others I have seen in New Jersey along the turnpike. This rest area had a convenience store and gas. Many of the others have more options than a convenience store, such as fast food restaurants and the such. The good thing is that we weren't looking for any food items, just the restroom. The restrooms here were clean and maintained, which you don't always find at rest areas. The inside was your typical convenience store, but a bit larger. There's lots of snack and drink items here if you are looking for that kind of stuff. There is a Sunoco gas station at this rest area as well if you need gas. Gas was not needed at this time, so there was no stop there. Overall, this was just a rest stop. If you need to get some gas, use the restroom, or just get a few snack type items, this would be a place to stop. Further down, it seemed quite a few of their rest areas were closed for renovations. Although there was nothing to wow me about this place, it did get the job done and back on the road to my destination.

For a rest stop, the restrooms were impressively clean and most importantly smelled great! It definitely exceeded my expectations. They seem to have a really good/big selection of snacks, and the parking lot has many spaces available.

We picked up OurBus right across from the Javits Center, in the middle of the street…read more The storage bins were labeled, one for Baltimore, the other for DC. He scanned our ticket and we boarded. The bus was pretty full, so we ended up sitting separately. The above head storage bins are kind of tight, so I had to take something out of my over stuffed backpack to manage to wiggle it in. While my purse sat on my lap. I liked the foot rest and the hook on the handle on the seat in front of me. Trash bags were hung here and there. Looks like they also provided small bottles of water for us, though we had to grab those ourselves. The electric plugs didn't seem to work, but perhaps the ubs plugs in the ceiling did. Our driver was a great communicator. He set expectations so we knew that we had a 20 min rest stop before arriving at Baltimore, and pointed out things to help us to pay attention and to get back to the right bus. He warned us that given current construction that we were sure to arrive later than what our tickets said, and gave us his best eta given the circumstances. Another passenger later commented that the bus bathroom was clean. We kind of ended up being dropped off on a brightly painted bridge in the middle of no where - perhaps on Maryland Ave?, by a bus stop. A short walk from Penn Station.

The transmission was bad, the alignment and suspension were shot, and the bathroom door did not latch. The suspension was so severely degraded that it audibly bottomed out on road bumps, causing motion sickness among multiple passengers. The transmission could not maintain speed on inclines, making the journey slow and stressful for everyone on board. The windshield wipers were so worn they could barely clear rain from the windshield (a serious safety hazard). Overhead storage bins would not latch, risking items falling on passengers, and the lighting inside most of them did not work. The spare tires were stored in a luggage compartment and had dangerously little tread remaining. We paid Rally/OurBus for what we were promised would be a newer luxury coach with ample luggage space and modern amenities. Instead, we got an old bus with no electrical outlets, damaged seat upholstery, and a bathroom that reeked before a single passenger had even used it. They sent us a vehicle that should not be in passenger service. When we sought a refund, we were bounced between Rally/OurBus (the broker) and All Aboard Express (the bus company), and now neither company will return our calls. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere!

The check in desk is to the left after you enter the lobby and there's a small snack and soda concession area to the right. There's a nice lounge area in the lobby as well just past the elevators. I didn't have a chance to see the breakfast but it was this area as well. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean. There's also a roof deck area with chairs and lounge areas as well which was nice.

**I'm reviewing this hotel as a local that booked here to stay closer to downtown for an event.**…read more This hotel is okay if you just need a basic room with no real amenities, and if you want to be woken up by housekeeping even with the DND sign on the door. Check in: Check in was fine, the front desk associate checked us in quickly with no issues. The guests in front of us were spending time at the desk arguing about putting a card on file, so that took longer than usual. But the associate handled it really well. The room: The room had a decent amount of space for a NYC hotel room, but no amenities whatsoever. There was no fridge or microwave, but i can deal with that as the room was just a place to sleep for me. The staff: This is where I knocked a few stars off for. while the front desk staff was wonderful, the housekeeping staff were terrible. I have stayed in many hotels here and haven't ever encountered staff like that. The housekeeping staff ignored the DND sign on the door twice. Which having a background in hotels previously, that is a big no. If the guest has paid for the room until checkout time and has a DND on the door, you don't knock and call the room instead. Both times that the DND was ignored, we were asleep and got woken up by it. When I answered the door there was no apology or anything, just them asking about housekeeping service. Staff should be trained better on this as It should be company policy that the DND doesn't get ignored.
