TRASH! The doors get stuck, if time is important to you don't use this place. I was on a schedule to get things out of storage for my business and they door would literally not open. I had to call for help and a lady came out and sprayed some thing on the gate for it to open. This location doesn't do after hours. We were once inside inside the gate after 9 and it's considered trespassing! Literally takes us 15 minutes to unload and she would not let us,. I needed a small unit to store stuff from a 1 bedroom and it was the perfect size. The lady at the front desk was also very helpful.

They made my husband and I feel so comfortable. After 2 stressful days of not closing on a house and being homeless we were forced to find storage as we had to get out of our other place. They were so sweet and accommodating and have us a great deal for the month to buy us some time for the close. They were also very kind to our dog who was a nervous wreck after a 2 hour drive... I would highly recommend Public Storage. We had a such a wonderful experience selecting a unit. Gilbert was awesome! He made us feel extremely comfortable with the decision we made. He provided us with top notch customer service and insure that all of our questions were answered. My husband goes over to the unit quite frequently and Gilbert always greets him and takes a few moments to chat and see how everything is going. This is by far the worst experience with a business I have ever had. My mom had just recently passed away and I moved much of her stuff into the other Casselberry facility. The online deal was supposed to cost me around $150. When I got there it turned out to be $179 + an insurance fee they say is mandatory (not described online or on phone before you get there). That tacks on another $15 or so. Then there is a one-time administrative fee or something like that. After all this I get a call after the first month saying that I have to pay an additional $30 late fee for not paying the pro-rated portion of the next month before the month was over (I'm guessing because they like to bill at the first of the month instead of someone's move-in date to make it easier on them or to catch people off-guard to charge them a fee). I figured I could pay that at the beginning of the month. This was never made clear by the person who moved me in. When I asked them to waive this fee since it wasn't made clear, they gave me this robotic "we can't waive late fees." I even spoke to the District Mgr Dianne, which acts all calm and understanding (which is an act because she knows she is not going to help me for even a meager $30). I asked her "am I wasting my time explaining my circumstances? Are you potentially going to help me in any way with late fees?" To which she says "No fees will be waived for any reason with this company." Now I had to pay about an additional $200 because of that $30 late fee accruing some penalties and another late fee for the new month's fees that I explained I tried to pay before the month it was due and the online site wouldn't let me in. I had talked to an agent at the location at the beginning of the month to explain this to avoid any late fees again and they said they would have the District Manager get back to me to settle all this. I told them I wanted to make this month's payment to avoid late fees and they said I can pay when I speak to the manager. I spoke to the manager today 8 days later after I was told I would hear from her since the beginning of the month. I think she waited this long to tack on more late fees. Because I called the store probably a dozen times after she didn't call and no one would pick up (during business hours). I left messages each time to call me back and got no response. I called the company's toll free number to let them know that I couldn't get in touch with anyone and got a threatening letter also saying that I was locked out of the unit because of this $30 charge and it was going to go into auction if I didn't pay like $379 dollars or so, when my amount to be paid should have been around $179 and $30 late fee (since they weren't going to help with that). I had another issue with the Sanford store that promised years ago to make sure I was checked out properly before the next billing cycle and wasn't and this pulled up when I went to check on this unit. The woman there saw that I checked out on the proper date. I told her I was given a temporary gate code for the evening before the next billing cycle would take place and somehow she forgot to put it in the system to close out my account. Yet records show that was the last time I was in the unit. These people are worse than those gym memberships you couldn't get out of years ago. They find more ways to charge you than a profiteering bank. AVOID this company! read more

This company is a joke....And I use the term company also as a joke... We have rented a unit with them for many years. Never being late with payments... I called them on 7/2/12 to tell to them once again that I did not get their invoice... B/C they once again sent it to the wrong email address.... I gave them my email yet again and told them I had paid it with out the invoice.... Next day I got the invoice to the right email address but it was for July & August 2012 invoice.... Today I got a call at 4 pm.... "urgent"..... That my July payment was late. When I returned the call the person informed me that I had to pay the late charge. When I told her about trying to get it taken care of and that it was paid... She told me I owed the late charge anyway... I did not get a chance to explain what had happened, and that I was the one that had made the call.... She was short and treated me like I was a criminal. I got angry..... Don't use these people... They don't care about anyone but the bottom line..... Don't really care about my property at this place... But do care about the way I was treated.......and would not want other people treated the same way.... Bad business practices........and got on line and checked with my bank... They had gotten and cashed the check last Friday..... Really think twice before using this company.... They are bad business people... read more
