We were told to bring the registration, title and proof of insurance on the bikes when we brought them in. We brought the motorcycles with all the paperwork to store them at which point we were told since I rented the unit only my motorcycle could be stored in it - my husband had to rent a second unit as i am not on his title. that is there POLICY. I wanted to raise the matter above the Sunday fill-in guys head which fell on deaf ears. Big time BAIT AND SWITCH! We inked a deal with them understanding they were working in good faith. They only thing they really care about is being able to liquidate everything in your unit should you not pay. Never ever will I use this storage facility no matter how nice and clean (it is) and DO NOT recommend anyone try to store vehicles with them. FOLLOW UP - Dave at presumably the home office called to discuss my experience, promised he would provide a refund of the charges we encountered. 3 weeks later that refund remains missing, go figure.

During the day of move in, the facility staff practiced MD retail covid-19 practices and I was provided a contract, then it was all explained to me. I signed the contract and started moving in. The facility has 24 hour surveillance, keypad and gate at entry and exit, lighting and climate control at the storage unit, and Space to unload and pickup. There's also ample moving supplies for purchase. I'm completely satisfied with my decision to work with Storage Mart!

Instead of working with me, they decided to still charge me half of what I paid simply because I couldn't return it earlier. Again, my schedule as a member of the military didn't permit it. I felt ripped off... I ended up paying $75 for a broken machine. In short, I wouldn't recommend this place. Go with a more trustworthy and reputable store like Home Depot.

This is to inform you that we will no longer be parking our trailer at Fort Knox Storage in…read moreColumbia, Maryland. I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau, my insurance company, and to any and all business review agencies like Yelp. I must say that I am leaving now that the new management has created an atmosphere of distrust, dishonesty, and lies. When I first moved my trailer, I was very happy with Donna Strickland managing the property because she was very quick to notify someone if there ever was an issue, concern, or question about my property. Since the new management has taken over, we have experienced property damage that they refused to report. It was only found after we checked on the trailer. We were told that it had been that way for over a year, which is an outright lie. I had been to my property in January 2022 to retrieve items from the trailer and there was no problem at that time. We were then told that we did this, which again was an outright lie. Our property was hit by another vehicle and the management never informed us or took a report from the other vehicle involved. They are now claiming that cameras, which were in place are not working. They are refusing to take responsibility for the damage since they failed to report the incident. They have been dishonest in the handling of this matter and have lied every time I question them about this matter. We were told that a report would be sent to Corporate but that was over a month ago and still, no one has contacted us about this matter. I will be happy to inform anyone that has property at Fort Knox Storage in Columbia, Maryland to reconsider and move it as soon as possible. I would NEVER recommend anyone use this facility until the management has changed. This is 100% a dishonest business and they are 100% dishonest in their business dealings.
