I would say worst place to store belonging. Was not pleased since day 1. I could see through next to the neighboring unit. Was questioned exactly what I was storing . Throughout my rental time with this place Rent would just increase without any notification. You miss one day and you are already getting calls and e-mails about your payment needing to be made. And when you were late they would be calling your relatives about the payment. I remember recently speaking to Angie about my late payment told her I had just lost my job and that I would figure it out and make my payment soon. Emails and calls kept coming in. I was going through looking for my missing dad and at the same time with a back injury and seeing those annoying calls was very overwhelming. Answered one of the calls and she told me I had to pay my overdue amount which I did then I got a call back stating I didn't have access to my space because I still owed another amount. Then by this time it was more that I had to pay which was not right. Had issues paying the remaining balance the system was not taking my payment. Tried contacting real customer agents and to be honest it was a mission to talk to someone. Bot chats are the worst because they don't understand your questions. Finally was able to get my payment done and when I did go try to access my unit my code wasn't working. Again I had to go out my way to get help. My code was Locked and I had no gate access to get to my unit. Apparently it had to be refreshed because it hadn't passed enough days that I made my payment so it wasn't giving me access to it. Then I encountered I needed a code to remove the extra lock that was placed on the lock.This was the worst experience I've ever encountered with any company. There is no real customer service support helping or easily to access for questions or concerns. At this point I didn't not want to speak to anyone from my Rental space. I needed help from someone other than my storage office. Took numerous attempts to actually speak to someone and that should not be. Finally I was able to access my unit and come to see some of my stored items damaged maybe by rodents . At this I want nothing to do with Public Storage but I hope my review helps others in going with different rental company who actually cares about their customers. Owners should be aware how frustrating is for customers to have their rent increased without notification and even worst to have to talk with the same people frustrating you because there is no other customer service personnel. read more

The ABSOLUTE WORST BUSINESS! I've rented a space for less than a year and have to say NO ONE EVER RETURNS YOUR PHONE CALLS! NO ONE EVER SEEMS TO BE THERE WHEN I NEED TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE. although the signs says open with the hours of operations. One day I was so frustrated (They put a codes on doors that I had no idea about) NO EMAIL OR CALL ABOUT A DOOR BEING PUT ON! NO CODE WAS GIVEN TO GET TO MY STORAGE. I called other locations and no one could help me so I started banging so hard on the living quarters next door. After half an hour-45 mins of banging on the windows, door and screaming! a girl finally comes out trying to wake up. This was about 10/11am. on a Friday when the sign said they were open. I've had a 10x19 space since about '17 and had no issues until last 18 months. All of a sudden, without notification, my space went from $200/mo. to $660/mo.!! - they said they emailed me which is a lie, I've kept ALL emails from PS since I moved in. They agreed to adjust the rent back to $200/mo. Fast forward 6 months and my rent is back to $660, again without any notification. I called and left several messages attempting to get clarification with no response. The 1 star for the lack of transparency and rent gouging. I read other stories about PS raising rents on customers with long term storage because let's face it if I was using the vehicle I wouldn't need to store it at your facility. Very disappointed in the crude business practice either for PS in entirety or this franchised location. Never get another penny, or half penny from me again! read more

I've been using public storage since i moved a few times and i need a place to put furnitures in... Throughout all these years.. This is the 3rd locations i've been with.. And i gotta say, i love this branch! They have the best staff here! Specially Angie! She is just a sweetheart! If u call the office and leave a message, u dont have to wait tho whole day for a call back! She will call u within the hour!(my case less, less than 30 mins!) And she was very polite, very friendly and Very helpful! She will really guide u to what u need and what will help u save money at the same time! I really recommend this place! read more

once again im on here to explain the worst experience i had staying at this storage location i spoke to angie i moved my stuff out because once renting the space i had stared off paying ($123.00 ) a month then ($163) then it went to ($183) then to ($193) then jumped up to over ($200)dollars i wrote a yelp review and the location called me to ask if i can take my yelp review down and they would lower my fees which i did not take down i moved all my stuff out and they called me and said they are a month to month contract and since i move it out on th 3rd they are still charging me and i had 10 days to pay ($163.00) or i will go to collections. lets just this is by far worst location i came to !! i will not be pack and for anyone wanting to come here read contract before coming read more

over phone service was great easy to acquire unit once at actual location had issue getting through door called Publiic Storage they open facility over the phone Thanks for help then I met Angela site employee who was not on site at time and came aggressively blaming me of following another vehicle I advised to get her facts straight and explained how I was helped over the phone she then said I had to check in with her which I won't have had an issue but she was not on site! My apologies for blocking driveway but it was hard to back up please review footage to confirm all in all Great job helping just onsite personal need to be more helpful less aggressive attitude and understanding the customer needs! read more

I've been storing my stuff here for a little over a year now. The prices are much more reasonable than other storage facilities around... perhaps because it is in an industrial area? Access is easy through a gate and I'm glad they require a code both to enter and to leave. That gives me some peace of mind that even if someone gets in, they just can't simply leave through an automated gate and take off with people's stuff. Gates are accessible from 6am-9pm. Make sure you leave before 9pm, because once the gates lock, you cannot get out... unless you walk out. It also will not let you in until 6am sharp. I once got there about 15 minutes early and could not get in. I even tried one minute before and it would not let me in until it was exactly 6am. The workers I have encountered here have been nice. Especially the manager Anthony. He was very helpful and nice and took his time to answer my questions and make me feel comfortable. As far as your storage, you are required to have renters insurance, which is about $11 a month, or you could pay more for higher coverage if you have stuff of more value in the storage. If you have your own renters insurance, you can show them that also instead of buying theirs. You can make payments online or set up auto pay as well. I have mine on auto pay so I do not end up forgetting. First month special is $1 for the first month. You can rent small or larger storage units, and even rent spaces for your cars/rv, etc. The larger storage unit has a light inside. I had originally rented 2 units, a smaller one that was 5x5 and a larger one that was 10x10. I finally moved myself into one storage after being too lazy to move the stuff over. Checking out of the other storage was a breeze... first I set a move out date online - a day where I could come back in person to check out, then the next day, I already received a call stating that they would check me out and that I did not have to do it in person! That made it very easy for me!! read more

Overpriced locks and storage equipment I guess that's a part of their business however I received no sympathy for during these conditions with this pandemic after losing my job. Called the district manager to later hear her attempt to claim they are a compassionate customer service oriented establishment which is hard to believe. We came in on Friday 01/02 and the office was closed. They had a sign stating they would return in 30 minutes. I wish we didn't had to wait, but i get it maybe they were out for lunch.... 2 Girls arrived and one of them attended us, she was very courteous and helpful. She asked my mother questions to determine what size storage would benefit her. She then showed us the storage. The total process took about 40minutes because their system was down, otherwise probably 20 minutes. We like that the gate hour for closing is 9pm and their storage units are on the 1st floor. read more

I have never posted a review - but after this experience, I feel compelled. My daughter is a student at Azusa Pacific University and at the last minute had to vacate her dorm due to Covid-19. She rented a unit (on her own) but she and a roommate entered the wrong name on accident when filling out the online application. When they tried to transfer the unit, and no one was willing to work with them. Long story short, Public Storage would not let them transfer or correct their mistake and we were charged $485.11 for one month's storage on my credit card. College kids trying to do things on their own, was a bad idea. Anthony at the Irwindale location and Denise at Public Storage corporate were unwilling to work with us to resolve the matter. I missed my appt, but Anthony followed up. I missed another, and Anthony followed up. I was late for the 3rd and barely showed up in time before closing. I was embarrassed and had no excuses with the exception of sincere apologies for my hectic sudden move. BUUUUUT, it was obvious that no apologies weren't even necessary as I was greeted by Anthony & Priscilla with friendly smiles and a warm greetings. Anthony was just happy that I was finally able to make it in. Truth be told, that made me feel even more guilty! Needless to say, I was in a mad rush to try to get out of there before closing, but alas, the process ran just a bit over and so I was aware and moderately concerned that I was keeping them. My concerns were returned by a strong reassurance from both Anthony and Priscilla that we were nearly done and they both never made me feel like they were rushing me through to get rid of me so they could clock out. They were so very conscientious from beginning to end. The most impressive thing that Anthony achieved that day was the successful alteration of my frame of mind. I walked in feeling like an absolute flaky loser troublesome potential customer and by the time I left, I was a happy, confident, and accomplished Public Storage Customer. Since then, Anthony has continued to provide 5 Star service and never ceases to amaze me! The words "Thank You" are not sufficient to convey my gratitude. read more

Perfect Fit! I tried doing my own research on size and what I would need; however, thankfully Anthony helped me pick the perfect size. I was able to get all of my stuff in one shot. Each time I went to pick something up or drop something off the security was on, lighting worked, and when I called to get ready to vacate the staff was very pleasant to deal with. I vacated today and again was able to access all of my stuff with no problems and found the place secure and clean! I'd never used a storage facility before but these guys here are the tops!! I was very impressed with their service until I learned that they increase your rent every six months! It's about 10% more a month. That's insane! It's okay to rent for a month or 2 but if you plan to stay six months or more plan on a huge increase every six months! I have read many reviews on ConsumerAffairs.com I recommend reading those before storing your belongings at Public Storage in any city or state. I wish I had read them before storing there. They go over the contract briefly (which is on a tablet) of course they fail to disclose the increase and just have you sign after they explain "most" clauses. That seems very deceptive. I would assume we can expect a "class action" lawsuit in the near future. Maybe it's "extrinsic Fraud, "a deceptive means to keeping one from enforcing her legal rights." They intentionally leave out (verbally while explaining the terms in the contract) the price increase. I feel it was completely intentional. Then they say... well you signed it... Look around at other storage facilities and make sure to ask about semi annual increases! read more
