Do not expect a refund if you only used the facility for a few.days. I rented the unit on Sunday and went to cancel the unit on Thursday and all I received out of the $166 fee was $36. I never even put anything in the unit. My home buyer canceled the contract so I no longer needed the storage unit. I only used the unit 5 days out of a 2 month agreement and that refund policy sucks. So know once you rent it it's yours for the month regardless if you even use it. They will Not be getting my business ever again read more

This is the 3rd time in 2 months we have gone to make payment for our storage and every time there always a notice on the door says be back in 20 mins and this time it's ridiculous that it's 45 mins before they close. Who leaves right before they close??!!!! Probably because the worker always looks like they hate working there. Nobody should be leaving minutes before they close. Some of us get of at 5 and hv to hurry down there by 6. Thank Goodness my husband says we can go to a better one next month. No more public annoyance storage!!!!! Before you rent storage here there are better ones with better service and hours in orland and Tinley. read more

So far the process has been very simple. The front desk staff was very helpful when I was there on two different occasions. In order to show me a unit she had to put the sign on the door saying that she'd be back in 20 minutes. There is no other way for them to allow people to tour the space. The online process for renting a unit was super easy too! My unit was very clean when I arrived. I am planning on moving my things in this week. read more

they prorate the charge when you move in mid month, however, when you move out, even on the first of the month, you are charged the whole month that you are not using the unit, and you also give up right to use said unit for that month, allowing them to rent it to another party allowing them to double charge for the unit between two renters. also, they jacked up the price by 40 bucks per month without warning! also, A/C was out in the climate controlled area for over a month in the summer allowing mold to grow on all our furniture. NOT COVERED UNDER MANDATORY INSURANCE POLICY according to them. we will never again use them and will never recommend to use them to anyone. BAD BUSINESS ETHIC. read more

While my review has nothing to do with the facility itself, which is fine. The fact that Public Storage the company is GREEDY enough to prorate my rental in their favor for moving in 7 days prior to the end of the month, but would make me pay for an entire month if I move out after the 6th is BAD BUSINESS practice. Also, there was a gate code change that i was never notified about. So, had there been no one in the office, i would not have been able to access my unit. I would never rent from this company again or recommend them to anyone, ever. read more

TOTAL DISASTER!!! The contents of almost my entire 3 bedroom house were in a 12x30 storage unit for less than 3 weeks when I discovered water damage coming through two holes in the roof of my unit. There was significant damage to my legal documents, leather vintage suitcases among other things and I'm having to now re-hire the 4 person moving team that moved me to take everything out of the unit and move it to another facility. When I told the gentleman working at PS after I discovered the initial damage, he handed me a pamphlet to the insurance company and basically told me I was SOL and that they are not responsible for moving things out. The insurance company associated with PS is telling me potentially two business days until someone can be available to answer whether or not the potential $700 to move my stuff to another facility is even covered. Meanwhile, the snow is melting and I'm scrambling to get my stuff out to prevent more things for getting water logged. There's been less than a few inches of snow and no rain this entire time my things have been in storage and who knows how many other units are also damaged. Not sure how much more damage would have occurred had I not checked today. I also have photos and videos if someone is interested in seeing the ceiling of the storage unit and some of the damage. read more

My experience as a 1st-time customer was quite good. Everything was as expected and advertised, the lease process was quick and best of all, the service and personalities of the staff were enjoyable; especially Katie - quite pleasant. Moving into was very easy, thanks to Tonya. She was very knowledgable of the contract and facility. The facility from the office to the actual storage container were very clean and well maintained. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars was the problem with the ice everywhere. They need work on the frequency that the salt is applied during business hours. read more
