Every piece of furniture ruid bad management just didn't care about all of my belongings that went to the trash used my furniture for one Year before storing it in this rat infested hell hole paid 1700 for my sectional and received no sort of payment even though I had insurance on the unit. I came here to help my cousin move her stuff out of her unit. A moving cart was really hard to come by. I'm giving a bonus star because some other amazing clients that were moving their things helped us. I don't know how her payments have been, but I don't understand why more people are not commenting about the rat droppings all over the place. They were on the landing when we got off the elevator, and in the hallway on the walk to her unit. . I thought the guy that came through with a cleaning cart might sweep them up, but nope. An employee, hopefully former employee now but I never received any follow up, broke into my unit and went through all my belongings. Ended up steeling my mattress of all things. When I reported it to the front desk, he didn't do a thing. Let me know that there are no cameras and that they rarely check on units in this area because the female employees find it "scary". Told me to call the owner. (Left the owner a dozen messages over the next few weeks and he never called me back.) Few hours later I went back to the unit to see if anything else was stolen and there my mattress was sitting outside the door. Incredibly sketchy. Finally a year later, I'm able to move all my stuff out and cancel my rental with these awful people. If you don't mind the huge increases in payments the place is fine. They raised my rent 3 times in less then 2 years, more then doubling my rent. I started at $41 August 2019 and now they want $84 a month. I'm moving my stuff out. Good riddance. read more

What do you do when you are poor but need a storage unit....you end up at this ramshackle place in Schiller Park. For $65 a month you get a giant, drafty old barn with flickering florescent lighting (that has many burned out bulbs), a "security gate" which takes so long to close after you that I have had 2 other cars follow behind me - maybe they are renters also, maybe not - and lots of seemingly abandoned cars & trucks in the back lot. (To be fair, they have cleaned up somewhat since the lot was paved this summer). They leave the doors open all day and birds get in (among other critters I am sure) and since there are no ceilings to the units you better cover your stuff up or...well, you know. The halls are dimly lit and creepy and I hate going there alone at night. If you need a cart, you have to "sign one out" because apparently there is a lot of cart theft over there. But where the carts are located vs my unit is on the opposite end of the building, so not only is it not convenient, but you never know if the office is even going to be open in order to get one. I have gone there on different days at 9am (closed), 1:30pm (closed) and 2:30pm (closed). So not only can you maybe or maybe not get a cart, if anything should happen to you up in the crazy labyrinth of this joint, there are only some randomly placed intercom buttons to connect you to the office...which if it isnt open how are you supposed to get help? Ahhh, it is the stupidest place I have ever dealt with, but for now it will have to do. But seriously, if you can afford to pay a few bucks more a month, DO IT and dont use this facility... preferably a place you dont feel like you have to carry a shiv with when all you want to do is drop off a box of old Christmas decorations. read more

C.R. and I both have way too much shit, and after we get married, we will have too much shit times two. So we rented a storage space at Public Storage in Schiller Park. The place is pretty run down. It looks like the place went through a Red Neck Picnic. In the back area there were old campers that looked like they were 30 years old and boats that have not been in the water since World War II. The storage space that we rented was dirty and dimly lit, and the hallways looked like they haven't been swept in a long time. They kick you in the nads with a $22.00 processing fee to start a rental agreement and also make you take out some bullshit insurance for your storage space. It's 8.00 a month for 1,900 dollars in coverage. I guess this was a case of "you get what you pay for". This was the cheapest place that we could find. read more

This is a HORRIBLE PLACE!! I've been renting there for about 3 months, I went there in July to pay my bill, but the lady said I was paid til next month (August). I didn't know I was set up with Auto Pay, A few weeks later I put my code in but it didn't work, it said see manager so that's what I did, she said I broke the contract, I said what?? How?? She really didn't give me a answer, so the only thing I could think of, was one night I was waiting for my boyfriend to come there but I fell asleep because of the very hot day we had, when my boyfriend finally came it was after 9pm. So he got ahold of the property manager & they both came up to my unit & I then woke up, but I wasn't staying there, so now they are telling me I owe $254.00 dollars & I need to pay that & then vacate, he said after the 7th there will be more late fees & if I don't pay the whole amount then all my stuff will be up for auction... My unit is suppose to be $80.00 dollars a month so how is the amount $254.00 dollars??? These past few months have been TERRIBLE my sister recently passed away, I just got over Covid & I now have walking pneumonia, I don't understand how people can be so so cold hearted especially when it comes to other people's stuff... Everything I owen is in that unit not to mention my mom's & my dad's ashes, all my important papers & baby photos of my children... I also don't understand how high the amount is either???? I had used this facility over the past ten years. During this time I had moved from units of one size to another and been in various locations about the facility. I have never had one problem with access to the property, automated billing and my belongings were never tampered with. My more recent dealings with office staff was with Tracy and Candice. They were both professional, thorough and competent. I can say the same for any of the office staff I interacted with over the years that I was at the facility. read more

Worst experience I ever had! The poor girl that worked there was brand new and wasn't trained at the new place. And if you need to use a cart you have to leave your ID. So if you plan on coming after hours make sure you have your own cause they lock them up. Oh and no refunds! I called corporate and they shrugged me off the phone and connected me to a voice mail to leave a message for a supervisor. They will get back to you in 48 hours. I will never use PS again! That was the first time I rented the storage place and I'm glad that I chose this one! The customer service was perfect. Tracy and Chuck gladly answered all the questions I had, explained the company policies and everything I need to use the storage in the future. Be very careful, rent will increase without notice. Just in 1 month our rent increased by 30 bucks. I called customer service and there advice was its in my contract section blah paragraph blah. I asked if they can reimburse me for a first time courtesy and she told me NO.
