I moved into Public Storage in April 2025, and from day one it was a bad experience. When I first moved in, I noticed a hole on the outside of my unit and asked them to fix it so vermin couldn't get inside. Months went by, and despite multiple follow-ups, the repair was never completed. Each time I checked back, I was told a work order was in, or that a contractor hadn't shown up, or that they needed one of my keys to get inside. Still, nothing was done. After nearly five months of waiting, I finally asked the manager to either fix it immediately or move me to another unit. The manager agreed, but when I went to the office, I was told I would have to pay to move my things to a different unit. I refused--why should I pay when the only reason I needed to move was because they never fixed the original unit? They suggested I pay upfront and then "request a credit" on my next bill, which made no sense. At that point, I decided to move my belongings out entirely. The only part of this process that went smoothly was moving out. Bernice, the staff member who helped me, was polite and understanding, but even she acknowledged why I was frustrated. To make matters worse, the unit itself was dirty from the beginning--covered in spider webs, bugs, and just generally unpleasant. This was my first time using outdoor storage, and I will never use Public Storage again. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and terrible customer service made this a stressful and disappointing experience. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for storage. read more

Stay away from Public Storage! I too would give 0 stars. They prey upon former customers to get extra money. After I moved out, and spoke to the facilities person who confirmed I did everything that I needed to do, and the day after I received an email receipt stating that I didn't owe anything further, I received a Public Storage email stating that my account had been charged an additional payment for the next month. I went through my credit card to cancel that payment and then Public Storage put a debt collector on me! I had to find the emails that documented the move-out day and the receipt, instead of Public Storage checking their own records and emails. Save yourself the time and headache from dealing with these people. They must have the debt collector on retainer with how swiftly they contacted me. I can think of so many reasons why a former customer wouldn't be able to respond with documentation to prove they don't owe anything -- and they probably end up paying the extra money just to get the debt collectors off their backs. This is Trump's America in action. No consumer protections what so ever. read more

I would give 0 starts if I could. Do not rent a unit from this facility. They keep raising my rent every 3 months or so. They get you in with introductory rate and then keep raising their rates by telling you over an email. This is an unethical business practice and I will be taking steps to get out of this horrible establishment. read more

So I can't get to my belongings outside of normal hours that almost every person in the universe works? That makes sense. But hey, maybe they'll have better hours on the weekends. Here we go again!!! Rates keep going up, up and up. Price you contract for does not seem to matter. You will receive email every few months advising of rate change. It is reprehensible and bad business especially when an over abundance of storage places in the area. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! Hi rented a unit. The entire process went great. I was able to rent with a phone call and online paperwork. The person who assisted me was very helpful and very nice. The unit was available with a lock when I needed. So far the only complaint is that you must purchase a lock. They should be included in the rental price. Good location for me as I am nearby. I had a great experience setting up my unit and the people. However in 6 months the price has gone up twice. I'm now paying $40 a month more than when I started renting. They raised it within 3 months of me renting it and now again 4 months after that! I call bs. If you're going to keep raising my rent every few months I expect my unit to be completely shoveled out. read more

This place has repeatedly provided easily the worst customer experience with a storage facility I can remember, and that's saying something. After spending days dealing with a flooded basement in our house, I was thrilled to find a "final notice" email in my inbox today, claiming that since the flood, ie, five days ago, they have "tried to contact me numerous times by email, phone and postal mail", and the contents of my unit may be thrown out if I don't come and look at the unit with them. Rather unpleasantly stunned by this, as I had no missed calls from them and had received nothing in the mail, I called, and someone named Shannon explained that they had, in reality, emailed me once, dropped something in the mail yesterday (which I could not have already received), and had "not yet gotten through their call list", in other words, had not actually called as they claimed to have. When I expressed the opinion that they were thus essentially lying in the email about having already contacted me "numerous times by email, phone and mail", she somehow could not comprehend that. I believe this is the second time I have encountered Shannon over the phone, and it's never been a helpful or pleasant experience. read more

Good location, helpful staff. My check-in was speedy and problem-free. Also, best rate around for that size of unit. I got a 5' x 5' unit, and it holds lots more than I expected. Just needed it to hold Christmas tree, decorations, some other seasonal items and luggage. If you are storing furniture, you might want to rent the next size. read more

My rent was due on the first of the month by business day close, that was a Friday, I had to work.... So not even 24 hrs later I moved the stuff out and they wanted to charge me a full months rent of $214 .. where do they do that at Public Storage Mommoth Junction, NJ that's where!!! Talking about they don't pro rate the rent ummm my things weren't in there for 24 hrs after the first just shameful don't go here I don't know if they are all the same but I've never had an experience like this!!! If I could give zero stars for customer service I would... unfortunately yelp doesn't let you do that. This storage facility stored my property (so the bare minimum) fine. I didn't have any issues regarding the actual unit. The issues I did have: Tons of small undisclosed fees (like mandatory insurance) that added up and were not disclosed up front Rude manager - I had a problem and she said she couldn't help and then said, and I quote "Good luck with that" in the most sarcastic tone of all time Overall there are a lot of good storage options in this area (AR&C, extra space, etc) that are cheaper and better - wouldn't come here if avoidable Update - upper management/customer service called and was very apologetic and responsive. They looked for helpful feedback while being extremely polite which I appreciated and hence upped the stars. read more

I've been storing my belongs at this place for awhile. But after really looking at my bill they raise the rent on you within 6months and don't bother to tell you that they do that. Plus during Covid they only took their fees off once and did not know the meaning of there are no funds coming in so how can I pay my unit. They immediately went to lien my unit. I was making consistent weekly payments so that my unit would not go into auction. Within 10days my lock was cut off and needed to be replaced and those locks aren't cheap. Now my account is all caught up and I need a new lock. What kind of place does this to people when they are struggling because of a pandemic? Plus when I signed up the girl was asking for reviews to make them look good. I will not be recommending this place. This is not how I want anyone that I know to be treated. Natalie was great! Went in today and asked about rentals for June. She greeted us with a smile and was very friendly and knowledgable about the facility. We asked to see a few units, so we could get a better idea of the spacing. She was so accommodating, and the units were clean.
