We traveled to Miami for a cruise, and stopped by Publix to get something that was healthy and affordable to eat on the go. At first, we were going to get a combo meal from the deli section, but a person who was standing next to us, and apparently a regular there, suggested that we get a sub instead because it was very filling with good portion sizes. So, we ordered a full chicken tender sandwich and were not disappointed. Sandra made our sandwich, customized our order perfectly, and did so with kindness, patience, and smile. This is one of my favorite Publix. It's usually pretty clean and doesn't get too crowded. The only thing is that it doesn't usually have any self check out which can be a bit annoying they have a lot of really unique stuff for example one time I bought a cake that was in the shape of a hamburger. It's pretty organized and they usually have everything in stock. read more

One of my favorite Publix is this one on 37th, and another is the one in South Beach, which has a GREAT location, and I also like the Publix on Coral Way & 27th Avenue. They are all ALWAYS clean, have everything you need and thought you never needed. horrible experience with this pharmacy. I picked up freestyle libre sensors back in January and they gave me 4 and charged me $144. i thought this was being put through insurance which would be adding to my out of pocket or even deductible. I just now found out that they didn't put it through insurance at all and charged me self pay price which means my out of pocket amount wasnt affected for this purchase. the goal is to meet my out of pocket and do this by making large purchases as this would have been. Mauricio is the best at that pharmacy but I just spoke with a Maite who was the typical rude employee. I explained the issue and how terrible it is that I wasn't told that I was paying a self pay price and instead of apologizing she just kept repeating the same story about how the amount would be more if put through insurance then she was super rude when I got upset as she clearly was NOT listening to me. My next step is to go to corporate. I hate to leave Mauricio but I will be transferring my scripts to another pharmacy. read more

Just wanted to give a recommendation and acknowledgement to " John and Roberto" that works in the Seafood Counter department, my first time visiting this location, usually I visit all sorts of public's. This location stood out to me for John was so friendly and helpful along side Roberto's assistance. He went out of his way to offer any additional assistance and even warmed up my order and added seasoning to it, I was able to enjoy a hot meal within minutes of returning to my car. This Publix has the escalator instead of the elevator which I prefer hands down. The elevator ordeal stresses me out because I'm either always waiting for one or running into an almost closing door just to travel one floor down. The escalator allows ppl just to take a quick stroll down to the main level with no wait involved. The layout here is huge and ample so maneuvering your cart is a breeze. The meats are always presentable and usually have enough stock of varied cuts to keep you happy. The BOGO deals here are worth keeping an eye out for because it's a great way to save money and walk away with double the amount. Parking in the garage is easy and there's always spots available even during busier hours. It's right on Ponce De Leon so this area is frequented by many local neighborhood people. read more

My local Publix is also the newest and biggest...in your face 47,400 sq. ft. of grocery store right down the street from the bungalow and it happens to be a Publix I don't really care where i get my groceries but LS does and she, like her mom, prefers Publix You can imagine her excitement when this mega-Publix with it's increased selection of everything but especially natural and organic products They also have an larger than normal ethnic food section so that's great This store does seem to have a normal selection of beer and wine so that was a disappointment 'cause I thought there would be more I guess I might as well get the other negative out of the way since I'm on the subject The parking can be problematic since there is one way in and one way out and with everyone's Grandma looking for parking it can get backed up There is a limited amount of street parking right out front if you are lucky enough to snag one The employee are all in a really good mood and there were plenty of cashiers but that can be since the store just opened, let's see how ecstatic they are to take my Cantimpalo order in a month or two read more

Horrific experience with Cod Fish on Sale today. I bought some and when I began to pull it out of the tray I found 2 worms! Absolutely disgusting, 2 worms on a 1 pound try. Immediately called the store and headed over with the fish. Upon my call they removed the fish off the shelfs. Apologized and explained it was common to find worms in cod, I have been cooking since I'm 11 and this has never ever happened to me. I cooked daily and if this was common I should have experienced this before especially if I lived in more than one country but nope neeever. So disappointed, Publix isn't the cheapest supermarket in the area but I trusted their quality. Wellll....there goes that. Don't buy fish at Publix. read more

I usually don't right bad reviews , but I was a little annoyed when I placed an order on instacart because my girl isn't able to walk right now . She received the text saying it was ready went , waited 20 mins . Called some woman answered and said "oh I see it okay I'm sorry " will send someone there . My girl waited another 20 mins . So I canceled it and had to go in myself and get what she needed . Mind you when I called back to cancel she was so careless , her response "ok" . The customer service is horrible if anything. The employees are unfriendly especially the cashiers and most don't communicate to even greet you. I'm not sure if it's a language barrier but a simple hello and thank you in any language would be suffice. I understand it's a supermarket but friendliness goes a long way in any business especially if Publix is going to live up to its shopping is a pleasure attitude. Well it's not at this location. I also hold the managers accountable for this behavior because it's evident throughout the store. The deli and sandwich stations employees also lack that service attitude and energy. I've been to this location several times due to necessity but will avoid moving forward. To make matters worse one of the escalators from the parking lot has been down for about two weeks or more. This place in general is always packed and the garage is dirty and a breeding ground for pigeons. read more

Whenever I need to make a quick Publix run while I am at my office I always prefer this location. There is always ample parking inside the attached covered garage (always a plus on rainy days). You have the option of the escalator or elevator that takes you directly to the entrance. Since I need to be in and out I always opt for the escalator, no need to wait for anything! I had a terrible experience at the Deli. Most of their personnel is untrained and, even worse, not customer oriented. I go to Publix because they have some medium-to-high-end products that I enjoy, but they need to teach their employees what it is that they are selling. I wanted to buy 3 pounds of Jamón Serrano freshly sliced. The price ranges between $23 and $25 per pound. It's not cheap. The only item that costs more per pound at the deli is Prosciutto si Parma. Being Italian born and raised in Parma - homeland of Prosciutto - I know how the product must be sold. The hardened skin, turned into plastic consistency through the curing process, is inedible. I asked for it to be removed, as they do in every Publix and anywhere in the world where they know what they are selling. I'm not some picky customer. Removing the skin from each slice is a painstaking process and attempting to eat the skin is literally like chewing on a piece of plastic. It's disgusting. The young employee told me she had to cut it, weight it and make me pay for it. I replied, it's the first time they demand that, but I was ok with it. An older, more experienced employee intervened and told her she was mistaken. If I had wanted the fat to be removed they'd weight it and have me pay for it, but the hard skin (la pelle, el cuero) shouldn't. That makes perfect sense. I wasn't arguing on the price anyways, I just wanted an edible product, and was willing to pay for it. She pretended to remove some skin and told me that I'd have to deal with it myself at home as she wasn't going to do it. I left without buying it. Went to a different location where they had ALREADY trimmed the skin and bought $78 of Jamón Serrano alone plus many other expensive items. That employee was just being lazy, it was almost end of shift and she wanted to leave. She couldn't care less about brining in the money that also pays for her salary. I wasted 30 minutes and left very frustrated. This is not the first time I have had experiences at the Deli. I waste time, leave frustrated and need to go to a different location to get what I want. Ultimately it's Publix fault, which is why I omit the employee's name. They are the ones doing the hiring, they are the ones doing the training. I know my biweekly $300 contribution makes little difference to their revenue, but this review and other negative reviews hopefully will improve outcomes. read more

I love visiting this Publix. I can tell the difference between the staff in here and the other Publix stores in the area. These are some reasons why I give them a 5 star rating: 1. This is my favorite Publix in the immediate area of Coral Gables. The others are old, small, have limited parking, have annoying fellow-shoppers, or some combination. This Publix doesn't suffer from any of these issues and the staff is quite helpful and pleasant. All that, and the produce is always in good shape and they've got a pharmacy. Amazing customer service provided by a Manager by the name of Mark! Totally made a mistake and ordered from the wrong Publix. He called the other Publix and cancelled order so I would not have to drive and return. His deli team had me out the door in 10 minutes with my sandwich platter for a staff meeting. I've never even tried to rate the supermarket, but I had to today. Stopped in real quick on the way home from work, expecting to grab three items. My mistake I asked the clerk in the bakery where I can find small sponge cakes to fill with fruit and whip cream, they usually come in a package of six or eight. The clerk had no clue what I was asking for, she went to the front desk and asked somebody who told her they didn't know either. A flagged down what appeared to be an assistant manager who told me in section number four. As per her directions I walked down to the end of the line in lane number four only to find quiche shells. I stopped in the produce department to get pencil asparagus, real simple you know thin asparagus I asked the produce clerk who pointed me to them one package on the shelf. I asked the clerk do you have any more he said no, off the top of his head no checking no nothing. While in the produce department the assistant manager, walked over holding some of the Quiche shells and I said that's not them. I told her what I was looking for is over in the produce department next to the strawberries in the cold section. She quickly told me please show me where they are at so I know what you're talking about. I directed her to the location, on my way out she was standing with somebody who looked like the store manager, I told her I was gonna go ahead and go to another store because couldn't find any of the items that I needed. The store manager looked at me, he was a slender gentleman and didn't say a word watch me walk out with no concerns. read more

This is one of the new Publix Stores. Everything is nice organized and the staff is always pleasant. They are always well stocked and have a greater variety of products than the one I tend to shop at. Their produce seems very fresh and they offer a wide variety of preseasoned meats which i've tried, and taste amazing! They have covered parking which is great. They also have a little escalator designed to bring your grocery cart up. The bakery has ordered and reserved pies they never carry in store for me and always write messages on our work cakes no matter how tiny the cakes are lol :) Overall, I love going to this Publix during my lunch break! read more

Nice Place. State of the Art, or so they planned. Resembles the stores in South Beach! But you cannot use your cell phone in the store. I spoke to the manager, he said, "I don't know......I have 5 bars." Turns out he was lying. No customer in the store had access to their phone, neither did the employees. Apparently when they built the place there was a construction issue and all signals are blocked. Sooooo if you shop there, have not emergencies and don't plan on googling any recipes! Ridiculous! After living in Miami for 2 years this has become the only supermarket ill go to even though its not the most convenient. There is a parking garage so you won't get wet if its raining although the local drivers make getting through it a challenge. It's as clean as you would expect from Publix and it does not take too long to find someone that speaks English to help you. read more
