Great supermarket to shop at. Ideal for those living in or near downtown. Very accessible, FREE parking, clean, great variety and tremendous selection on beers and wines. They even have their very own liquor store. The subs at the deli are delicious as well. And last but not least, did I mention their customer service? My boyfriend and I do a weekly shopping trip here which is super convenient because we live across the street. They have the good selection but the staff is a little questionable. Christian at check out is always cool, fast and funny. The Fresh sandwich and deli station is SUPER slow and you can often overhear some 'ghetto' conversation but the staff is overall very nice and the sandwiches and deli are so good that you excuse it. The dinner boxes with chicken, mac n cheese, rice and potato wedges with a side of bread is a great deal for $8! They have a decent healthy food selection but could stand to have just a few more options. GREAT champagne and wine selection. There is also a liquor store adjacent to Publix called 'Publix liquor' . Also, this location is next to Wells Fargo, GNC and Best buy Mobile which is also super convenient. read more

This is the worst Publix I've ever been to. The only Publix that I have ever been to with terrible customer service. We rarely go since the incident where I asked for double bagging. The cashier & bagger ignored me so I asked again, very politely & explained that the bags are very thin & tend to break before we can get them from car to home. She called me stupid. I was stunned. I stood quietly & heard her say it again to the bagger, "stupid woman wants double bags". I went to the manager who then told me, "well why don't you buy our cloth bags if you have a problem." I was so angry about the way that I was treated that we stopped going there. The people who work at the Publix in Brickell are so much nicer. Today we went to this Publix & I watched as two little girls were playing "the trust game", (1 person stands a bit behind the other, person in front falls back & trusts that the other will catch them), next to the manager. I told him, "hey, that's a lawsuit if she falls & hits her head." He watched the girl fall & just turned back to what he was doing. The employees just have a really bad attitude & just don't care. Good publix, it's a little overpriced because it is in downtown Miami, but if you're in a rush it helps you save time, the bogos are never at the right place and no one really wants to help ever..... I also don't like that the ladies at the customer service desk NEVER wanna give out quarters and always have different excuses. read more

Their escalators are broken 90% of the time year round and your always harassed by bums out front. It's a shame that such a strong brand won't fix the escalators or do something about protecting its patrons when leaving the building. read more

Quite possibly the worlds unhappiest employees at this publix. Went in to get a sub. Waited in line for about 15 minutes and when it was my turn the lady didn't even look up or greet me. It was awkward. She just said "yeah?" When I told her the sub I wanted she shook her head and rolled her eyes. It must have been a big deal to order an American sub. No "thanks for coming" or "have a nice day." Same with the cashier. No communication. They all looked miserable. Publix management should do something to encourage their workers. read more

For the life of me, I can't understand why this Publix doesn't have more people available to make sub sandwiches. The subs are awesome, but the workers are really slow, which makes the lines long. This would be such an easy way to make a profit if people could get subs fast. Also, this Publix is annoying because it's pretty small but very crowded, and they put all these mini-shelves in the middle of the aisles - which makes it impossible to get around people who are just walking aimlessly in the store (which is their prerogative) when you are in a hurry to get in and out of the place. Finally, I can't understand why this Publix doesn't have all the cash register lanes open from 5 - 7 pm... the crush of people coming in at that hour is huge, but you can expect to wait forever to pay for groceries. On more than one occasion I've left a cart or basket full of items near the checkout because I am not willing to wait like I'm in a Soviet block county (at least I don't think we are yet) for groceries after a long day at work. On the plus side, though, the employees here are pretty nice and helpful. It just feels like there are bad management decisions here. read more

I choose Whole Foods over Publix because Publix does not have enough organic produce and healthy options.

I shop here almost daily. Publix is the best supermarket around. However, I had a bad experience at the deli recently when the preparer refused to put more than a smidgen of Mozzarella -- the main ingredient -- on my Caprese sandwich. A complaint to the deli manager did nothing. Publix must do better. (See photo which I will post as well) read more

Just waited 25mins to get deli meat. One guy. Who was a little slow, working in the deli section on a Sunday night at 8pm. Great work by the manager staffing it today... Two weeks later. SAME issue. Staff is more concerned about closing and cleaning the floors and machines while one person is taking care of a Sunday night crowd. No numbers either. A nice line/honor system of who was here first. read more

I kid u not, I've never been so excited to go to a publix in my life! Everyday for the past several weeks I would sit on my balcony w/ a glass of wine and look at the construction of this publix and knowing I would no longer have to drive to these other rachet ass publix's made me super excited! They opened on the 31 but today was my first time visiting the store. The parking garage is awesome. Lots of space and light and there's security that patrols it. There are elevators and escalators that will take you down to the lower lever where the store is located and its huge in there. Very clean (but it is new so I'd be disappointed if it weren't.) The produce was fresh which is a huge deal for me since I am a vegetarian and they had an army of staff working so checking out was super fast . Over all I'm thrilled there's a sanitary supermarket I can walk to and add time to my cardio workout!...... I almost forgot, there is a liquor store as well YEA BUDDY! read more

The alarm at this Publix has been going off for MULTIPLE hours every morning for the last week. It starts at 1am and goes I til 6am in the morning. You must have the most incompetent manager in the world to allow this to happen. I've called the police finally today. I live two blocks away 40 stories up and have been unable to sleep for a week now because of your store. Do you not even have a security team or anyone competent enough to realize this is happening? One night I could understand but this has been SEVEN nights in a row. Completely disrespectful to your community shoppers. Please fix it. read more

This store is so clean and they have the most hospitable staff-everyone is friendly and nice and they seem to be happy to be working there.. I have run into very few employees who had a bad attitude. The store also has brown bags if you request them I can't believe that people and businesses are still using plastic and then complaining that their plastic is being overstuffed -get a reusable bag. .it's a $1. They have a nice wine selection also. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because there's always an issue with the escalator or the elevator I don't understand why it doesn't get a final fix- but you can guarantee at least once a week maybe even twice that the elevator or escalator will not be fully operational. While l I don't mind I have seen people who have problems walking or the elderly, families with kids having to take the non moving escalator and I can see their frustration, I think that this is something that should be finally fixed and not a weekly fix. read more

I recently moved to Oakland Park and attempted to work with two Publix Pharmacy's. I will tell you that they were absolutely the worst group of professionals I have experienced in South Florida. With that being said I want to commend the Publix Pharmacy located at 1776 Biscayne Blvd. they should get an award for the best pharmacy in South Florida. Two of the most professional and customer service pharmacists working there are Michael Chu and his assistant Chris. They are helpful, responsive, knowledgeable, thoughtful, respectful, communicative and treat people like they are in need of advise and great service. I now travel 34 miles to use this Publix Pharmacy and will continue to do so. read more

There was a discrepancy with the price listed on the shelf and the price at the register. Supervisor would not honor the price.

This location is always clean but that's about the only good thing they have going for them. It seems like every time I come in their customer service goes down farther and farther. There are always many people behind the meat counter but it seems like they're working harder at not helping anyone than actually working, you may see 10 people behind the counter and only two of them are actively helping customers and they chat more with each other than helping customers. I get a money order from this location every month and they always act like it's inconvenient to them to give me an envelope to put the large money order inside. I have always got quarters from the register as cashback and now today they tell me "oh we would never do that." I feel like obviously there is an issue with management leading the employees at those specific location because this is not the experience that you get from every Publix. read more
