This is a pretty large Publix and one of my preferred locations because I can usually find everything on my shopping list here. Interestingly, it's located right across the street from another Publix, but I rarely visit that one because it feels much smaller in comparison. What makes this store stand out is its width. The layout feels spacious, and the aisles are generally easy to navigate without feeling cramped. During busier times, the areas at the front and back ends of the aisles can become a bit congested due to the additional promotional displays and sale items placed throughout the store. While these displays are great for finding deals, they can occasionally slow foot traffic. The deli and bakery sections are both a nice size and typically well-stocked. I also enjoy the flower selection near the entrance, which is always colorful and inviting. The staff members are consistently friendly and helpful, which is something I've come to expect from Publix. Parking is plentiful, and the store is conveniently located within a shopping plaza that includes a variety of restaurants and retail stores. At first glance this store had a beautifully constructed rounded cathedral faced with the green elevated Publix sign. In the middle of another task I was summoned by the wife who alerted me that her father would like the Smuckers Uncrustables Peanut butter & strawberry snacks. This store was clean with a large nicely stocked wine and craft beer section. Like I commented in other Publix reviews, each store is structured differently. After a quick search I broke down and asked a stock employee where the item was hiding. He directed me to the center of the last cooler. There were plenty of four piece grape but none of the four piece strawberry. So I was forced to pay the $9.19 and go with the 10 piece box. The good news is that I noticed the new honey and chocolate flavors, which I will try another time. read more

We are not regular shoppers at this particular Publix, but stop by when we are in this shopping center at other stores. It is usually because we need a quick something that only Publix carries. And that's why we stopped by most recently. Here's another store that I was sure I'd done a review of previously, but no... It's a fairly standard Publix. It's set up basically the same way as most of them are... This one fairly neat and pretty organized. As far as prices, Publix is high in general compared to Walmart or Aldi etc. Publix stores do vary their prices also depending on the character of the neighborhood. This Publix had fairly decent (high) prices for the brand. But it also had a lot of variety and shelf stock. read more

Located in the Northridge Shopping Center, this Publix is large and clean with organized aisles. Many people were around shopping, but it didn't feel crowded. Satisfactory customer service. Had the same enjoyable shopping experience here as I do at every other Publix supermarket I have been to. Though the prices are little higher, their products are always fresh and in stock. read more

I used to like this Publix as one of the best in Ft Lauderdale. Now it is poor, at best. Went tonight for some items and needed celery, there were only 5 bags and all were nearly rotten (should have been thrown away). There were a few organic bunches, but they seemed old and dried out. I pre-ordered a deli sub 45 mins before, but when I got to the deli (15 mins after the time it was supposed to be ready), the sub had not been made yet. They were out of whole wheat bread, and lettuce. A couple of times needed to find someone for help, and nobody seemed to care to help. This place has gone downhill in the last 2-3 years. Because Publix is so expensive (beyond most comparable stores), and they fund problematic political causes, I try to shop at their stores only when I need certain items they carry that are hard to get elsewhere. They used to have good service, and quality products, now those two are gone. read more

Online ordering pickup ready time was 20+ minutes behind. My experience at this Publix relates to ordering a half sub. I ordered ahead online for in-store pickup. The app said the order would be ready for pickup around 12:35pm. It wasn't ready until 12:56pm. The employee who handed it to me did apologize. With over 6 employees I saw in the deli area, the deli did not appear short-staffed. My half sandwich did not involve sides, drinks, or significant modifications. This may not be at the fault of the location, but instead of the app not factoring in busy times into the ETA. As I waited over 15 minutes past my sub ETA, I noticed the staff wears hair nets, and I see no insects. It feels pretty clean. The store overall gladly busy with a long line at the front (inside) of the store for the cashier area. I really wanted to like this Publix because of its convenience and price point. I wish I would have paid +$2 for more sandwich by going to Jersey Mike's instead. read more

TLDR: Large publix with ample parking. ____ I've been coming to this publix for over a year now and I'm a fan. It's got all the publix standards - including the incredible subs. I actually enjoy a lot of publix brand items too like vegetables, brown rice and milk. I get these on the regular. There's always parking available. It's in a pretty busy shopping center, but there are ample spots. The produce is always fresh. The lines move quick. Overall it's a solid place to do your week to week shopping. I wish they had a better selection of cheeses, as wine nights at the house with some cheese are my favorite pastime. But I head to some of the more specialty markets when I need that. What really makes it 5 Stars is the staff. Everyone is always so friendly. From the folks restocking the shelves to the people in the seafood dept to the cashiers - they always have great staff! read more

The deli actively tries to rip you off. As for the cheapest chicken breast they had service worker gave me stuff that was 30% higher than what I asked for. When I called him on it he said the cheaper stuff was more salty. I didn't ask for less salty chicken breast I asked for the cheapest. read more

Like this Publix, most of workers are nice. Didn't appreciate how the manager walked by me about 3 times while I bagged my own groceries at the checkout line, being 8 months pregnant, and didn't even offer to help. Had she actually been busy, I would've been more understanding. But if you're going to end up standing on the side chit chatting with a friend, you could've offered to help a paying customer, who's pregnant at that. Being weeks away from my due date, a little help would've went a long way. Also simply for the fact that someone there gets paid to do that. I like this Publix a lot more than the one across the street, even though the other one has a better selection of international goods and a larger produce section. The reason I like it so much is that all the staff is so darn friendly. Even the ornery cashier Alex, as displeased as he seems all the time, always does his job efficiently and I figure there must be a good reason he's so salty. I try to get him to crack a smile once in a while and in 11 years I've only succeeded once lol. This Publix is reasonably clean. I shop at Foodtown too so my standards are kinda low (don't judge). They used to be really really great about the double your money back guarantee if they messed up on the price of an item at the check out, but probably not now with Covid. Be a nice person and don't try. Also, it never applied to alcohol sales. MY ONLY GRIPE: MANAGEMENT, PLEASE STOP CHANGING THE LAYOUT OF THE STORE, PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. This is a very poorly managed store. I had to stop buying perishable food there because it was spoiled on a regular basis. Fresh fruits and vegetables always have rotten produce in them, dairy is good most of the time but you'll get spoiled products once in a while that aren't outdated and the meat department is a disaster. The chicken is spoiled and inedible at least 25% of the time and the bathrooms are always dirty. I've never been to such a poorly managed Publix. read more

I love Publix and this a great location. It's newer, so it's big and has a pharmacy, which is convenient. The shelves are always well stocked and the line at the deli is usually handled expeditiously. Not all locations are. It's a clean store and the entire staff seems to be aware of their job. Of course, that all starts with the store manager, so that person here has a good team under themselves. The best suggestion for shopping at Publix is using their app, their circular, making that one dollar donation when they ask for it at checkout, regardless of what it's for, because of the coupons one receives, using manufacturer coupons and an app called Ibotta. Use all these tips and you will save a lot of money and enjoy shopping at Publix even more. read more

As all Publix stores are not all same, I've found them worth a review. The range of their stores covers from what I believe is their largest most spacious flagship located on Cordova Road to their older smaller ones like that on Dixie Highway in Wilton Manors that would seem to be more a grocery store than a super market. Besides the amount of inventory and selections, one of the things that differentiates them is aisle space. Unlike the Publix in Wilton Manors, and though the inventory selection is bigger, the most outstanding feature here is aisle space; easily twice as wide. So, shopping here is easy. You don't have to navigate around detouring yourself because an aisle gets completely shut off by someone with a large cart in the process of restocking. Other than that, a Publix is pretty much a Publix and if you've seen one, you've generally seen them all. read more

This is not my normal Publix store to shop. I was in the area and didn't want to travel further so I went in to grab some chicken for dinner. The store is in need of an update or makeover. It's dull, boring and poorly lit. I hit the poultry section looking for boneless chicken breasts. There wasn't a very good selection to begin with. What they did have in Publix brand were very large packs averaging $10-$12 per package. The worst part was they didn't look at all fresh. I looked over at the Purdue brand and found smaller chicken strips or tenders but no breasts and they too didn't look very fresh. I left without purchasing anything and went later to my normal Publix and found exactly what I was looking for. read more

3.5 stars... for their wretched selection of wines and champagne - which were relegated to the ends of aisles and about 1/3 of a row. When we asked whether a BevMo was somewhere close, we were directed to another Publix in Ft. Lauderdale which supposedly had "4 rows of wines." But they have a nice selection of croquetas, empanadas and yummy yucca logs stuffed with meat. 6 croquetas, 2 empanadas and 1 yucca log ran us about $5.97 and made for a very satisfying if somewhat greasy finger breakfast for two on the road. read more

Ordered chicken flatbread sub online 2 hours ahead. Come in to pick it up and they telling me "we didn't make it because we don't have flatbread". I said ok just make it with white bread. They were like ok, give us a few minutes. I went to pick up other groceries, returned in 10 minutes and they telling me: oh, we didn't make it because don't have chicken ether. ‍ I just left, I didn't want to order something else and then come back third time and they tell me they don't have that item as well. This is one of the nicer Publix stores around. It's not upscale fancy-schmansy like the Boca Greenwise Publix, but they have a nice cafe where you can stop for a coffee before shopping, a salad bar, and of course the famous Publix sub sandwich station! They always seem to be busy, but lines aren't too long... and there is often some good people watching as all walks of life collide here! My main complaint is that the parking lot feels very cramped, is always super busy, and also very full - this is a busy shopping plaza. read more

I'm giving this Publix a star just for the hot foods section. This store is old as a mofo but it has everything you generally need. I went here at least weekly for the 7-ish months I lived in South FL. And during every visit, I'd waddle my ass over to grab a papa rellena or empanada to chomp as I walked around the store. Calming my hunger pangs by spend a buck or two saved my checking account moolah, because I didn't fill my shopping cart just to visually satisfy my hunger. The employees are nice, though I didn't interact much with anyone until I got to the checkout lanes. I never had a poor experience, though it would be nice for the place to get a makeover. In the meantime, ignore the aesthetics, grab whatever you need from the produce, meat, bakery departments or maybe from one of the aisles, and eat some good Hispanic (mostly Cuban) food from the prepared food section! What a great store. I had never been in a Publix before (or even heard of it for that matter) I went in to grab a couple things to munch on for my hotel room. The store itself was immaculate. I found everything I needed pretty quickly. Some of the items seemed kinds pricey for Florida (I thought groceries would be cheaper here than in CT) but some of the sale items they had were pretty good. This has been my home Publix for many years now. The place is always well stocked and clean. The staff is friendly and some, who have been there longer, are friends. They know me and my family just from coming in for so many years. Their "pub-subs" are always spot on and their meat and fish selection is great too. They also have a great beer selection that includes a good amount of craft beer. It's enough to keep this beer lover happy. This is a great Publix location. read more

This Publix is centrally located to me so I'm here quite often. The food display is neat and the aisles are clean and organized. The prices are steep but it is a Publix so that's to be expected. This Publix has the deli a bakery the flower section a seafood section. The downside for me is it's so congested every time I go so I either go first thing in the morning when they open the doors or late. Coming mid-day to pick up a few things would be a disaster given that the parking lot is completely full. Otherwise this is a really good Publix. read more

If I could give this Publix 0 stars I would. Worst Publix ever. I work nearby and placed a pick up wrap order at 2:51 and selected for it to be picked up at 3:15. Got there at 3:15, did not see my order in the pick up area. Waited for 15 minutes and still nothing. Yes it was busy but I ordered 25 minutes before. Now I wasted 45 minutes of my lunch break and am going back to work hungry. So I'm at Publix in the deli department's and a small fire breaks out at the fried chicken at it for about 10 minutes I watch these employees. Stand around and say they don't know what to do. This publix is amazing. Here's the downside. The business and the business causing less parking and slower lines which is the same as any other place so my review itself is based on the quality of food and what I get out of it. Let's start with the amazingly sweet and helpful staff. They are all just as polite as chick fil a even on Sunday nights on top of being extremely helpful and resourceful. The food they make themselves like the pub subs especially the chicken tender is always great and you can count on the roasted chickens always being fresh and delicious. I do tend to think the produce is lacking at times but the buy one get one free deals more then make up for it! I do often see people getting frustrated but it's on 2 busy highways with 4 major retail stores at least in the plaza so it's more then fair. read more

I work for a grocery delivery service and this publix on commercial Blvd is the best in Fort Lauderdale. It is a bigger store, everything is always stocked and neat, service is exceptional.
