Latoya is so unprofessional. She would not let my friend into the store with her animal that was ADA registered. We offered to show her proof , she rejected it and kept questioning my friend. She has poor customer service skills. My friend came to pay her electric bill during this same visit and forgot her debit card at home. Latoya said "Ha ha " as of she was mocking her. She is rude , dismissive and hateful. We now try to avoid this Publix all together. This location is closest to our house but we do not want to have to be treated so poorly for no reason. She needs to be fired or retrained. read more

I would give a generous five-stars to this Publix for the grocery section. It's a smaller store, but it still has everything I need. The staff are usually pleasant, and the garage always has plenty of parking. The produce can be hit or miss, some days it seems like they got a bad batch, but still good enough for the convenience of being downtown. Just make sure you check the expiration dates of everything, there have been times when I've found items sold several weeks or even months after they expired. HOWEVER, the deli section in this store has the worst, awful service. I usually place orders online, and most of the time they haven't even began making it even when I show up after the scheduled pickup time. This is absolutely unacceptable for a downtown location where many customers are on tight lunch break schedules! I've spoken to several managers (many who I never see again despite being a regular customer of this store) about this, and usually they will comp my deli order and assure me that it won't happen again. But it continues to happen with nearly every order. If you order online here, you can expect your order to be ready 15 minutes after your scheduled pickup time, and sometimes only if you remind the deli staff that you ordered online! There have also been multiple occasions where they have given me a sub without lettuce when I definitely ordered it, or don't bother using the condiments I ordered. Messing up once or twice is one thing, but it's unacceptable that I've come to expect my order to be late and incorrect EVERY time I order from this deli. I only continue to come here because of the convenience of the location, but it never seems to get any better. They also seem to clear out the deli meats and cheeses an hour before the store closes. I went to this store an hour before they closed needing some items from this section of the deli to prepare for my work week, but couldn't get anything since the staff was in the process of clearing out the entire deli case. Why couldn't they wait until the store closed to do this? More awful service from the deli department. Overall the groceries are typically fine, just check the dates and avoid the deli. If you live downtown and are looking for more options... Jimmy Johns is a fine alternative for sandwiches and has extremely quick delivery. Walmart Neighborhood Market in SoDo might not be walking distance, but a short drive gets you cheaper grocery prices and it's open 24 hours. Aldi on OBT has much cheaper produce and it seems to regularly be better quality too. But the convenience of this store's location just can't be beat. read more

This Publix is walking distance from my office and my second-closest Publix when driving (which makes it my first choice when it's raining, because it has a parking garage!!) It's a larger Publix than I expected for a downtown highrise spot - it's not enormous but this is a full fledged store with full produce, bakery, deli, meat, frozen sections etc, and it feels less cramped than the Shine Publix does sometimes. To make up for the space being smaller than, say, Winter Park's gargantu-Publixes, it's also really well curated to have a good selection of prepared and gourmet items (for example, looking for jamón ibérico, not just prosciutto? I've been shopping here since they opened (almost 4 years) and do so several times a week (I live 2 blocks/minutes away and like to cook). I would say I'm pretty much an "expert" at this store. LOL Things I've learned: 1) If you need to make a trip that requires a cart, do not do so around lunch or dinner time/rush hours. This is a compact urban store and navigating a cart when it's crowded will quickly frustrate you. 2) Just don't even try to do any substantial grocery shopping if there is a big event happening in Lake Eola park or go very early when they open. 3) Always ask if they can check for items that appear sold out. Especially the produce. Half the time they have what I'm looking for back there (e.g. the flat leaf parsley runs out all the time but there is usually some in the stockroom). 4) Parking can be a nightmare. Usually it's fine, but weekends and events will feel worse than the mall in Dec. Sometimes they have a security guy at the entrance who hands out slips with the time - you get an hour - and this seems to work. But lately I have not seen that the times I've (mistakenly) driven over during weekends and was greeted with a totally full garage. 5) The deli is very, very busy. Especially the subs, and during lunch and dinner. Order ahead of time or you'll almost certainly have a decent wait. Also, there are runs on chickens sometimes and they just won't have any more for 40 minutes. I haven't seen that very recently, but it was a thing that was happening for a while. 6) Pharmacy is great. Never a long wait and super friendly. Shifted all my stuff to this location. 7) This compact footprint means they can't carry EVERYTHING a full sized mega-publix can, but they carry about 90% and very rarely do I have to go to another store for something. read more

You just roll up into the garage and there are elevators, large enough for shopping carts, that take you right to the Publix, SCORE! It's a good size and their seafood, bread and fresh produce are always fresh, yes like most other Publix but this location, always clean! The staff is friendly too. It's conveniently located near Lake Eola. This is my go-to stop when it's raining for sure but I go other times too cause there is parking on the street so you can just hop in and out! read more

Employees are always so friendly and willing to help, even if your request doesn't necessarily fit in their department. Customer service is always so friendly too :) Colin from the meat department was super helpful, I couldn't find the cut I was looking for so he took care of that for me. Everyone loves Publix for a reason, and this particular store is a shining example of why! The location is great for those living downtown, parking is underground (great for rainy or hot days), and the store is super clean. My favorite part of this particular store is the employees. Not that I have ever had an awful experience at another Publix, but everyone here is so helpful and friendly! The pharmacy manager is my favorite... He really gets to know all of his customers, and remembers your face and name. Look out for BOGO sales, and don't forget your coupons! Always a pleasure shopping here. Their parking is underground, so that's a huge plus when it's raining here in "sunny" Florida. It's very clean compared the other Publix stores I've been in. The employees there are always friendly and very helpful when I'm looking for something I can't find or if they're out of it on the shelf. This is the only place I do my grocery shopping. Mostly because of convenience. Their prices are a bit more expensive than places like Target or Walmart, but I'm a Publix girl and will spend the extra to shop here and get my Boars Head deli meat and cheeses. Yum. read more

I really am writing a review for this afreakinamazing Publix. Only because this downtown goodie grocery store has turned into a coming and going never ending cycle. The sushi here is made fresh everyday by this phenominal sushi maker and it's good enough for me to skip out on sushi restaurants on days I feel like being cheap! $6 and some change for a mouth watering 12 piece roll and no tip needed..ahhh this is my guilty pleasure. This is the most cleaniest, sufficient, pleasing Publix around the area. I might skip 3 publix's near me just to go to this one. ..lol just kidding (maybe in another lifetime when gas is cheaper.) The bakery in this Publix can provide levels of high satisfaction. Can somebody say chocolate strawberries, tiny mini cake delights, truffle cakes. Why can't all the other Publix's be as good as this. Downtown has the winning metal for this supermarket store. It can be a great saver for last minute plans such as arranging a picnic in lake Eola or if the balloons you were giving your friend popped before going to the bar and you need to run in to get some new ones. You never know what downtown might bring random hunger can strike at any moment and publix will be there to satisfy. read more

This Publix has to rank at the top of all of them when it comes to the friendly staff, excellent quality, and amazing location. I have grown up in Florida with Publix being the place to shop. This Publix has got them all beat. The staff has always been super helpful everytime. At one point the cashier gave us a reusable wine bag because we just asked about it when buying a couple bottles. They really do make shopping a pleasure. The seafood is super fresh and I have never had a bad encounter with it my whole life shopping here. The deli has probably the best subs out there...it even beats Jimmy John's! Their fresh baked goods are made daily each morning and fill the whole place with the scent of fresh bread. If you have a child with you the bakery will give you a free cookie for them (used to be my favorite part of shopping here as a kid). Their deli also boasts some phenom egg salads, sweet teas, and potato side dishes made exclusively by Publix. Publix has a great amount of wine for those vino lovers out there. This place is always clean, always employs friendly staff, and usually has just about everything you could want in a downtown grocery store. Also! If you park in the underground garage there is security during operational hours. I really think that is a good thing to have for being right near Lake Eola which is synonymous with homeless folk. read more

I was really surprised by the size of this Publix! Because of the location, I thought it would be super tiny. It turned out to merely be small, and it still had almost everything I expected to find at a Publix. It was very clean, the employees were polite (which I always expect at Publix), and it was super convenient with free underground parking. My husband and I had just finished picking up some dog food from Woof Gang when my husband developed a crushing need for marshmallows. I had suggested we just go to Walgreens because I didn't want to deal with parking. However, he was insistent. As you can imagine, I was pleasantly surprised when we ascertained the parking situation. A FREE underground parking garage for anyone who wanted to go to Publix! Since it was raining, this was a huge bonus and meant I didn't have to get my hair wet. It was also great that we didn't have to lug the groceries across the street to wherever a spot opened up. The parking lot may be obvious to people who live here, but we're new to the area. I'd actually been avoiding this Publix because I didn't want to deal with hauling groceries around and finding parking. Now I feel silly. That's what I get for not checking Yelp and just making assumptions. Overall, this is a really convenient Publix with a great parking garage. We came during the weekday at a non-prime time, so the underground lot was pretty sparsely populated. However, I strongly suspect it could very crowded on busy days/times. read more

I love this Publix! I even meet my wife there haha! Everyone is very nice, its clean and well organized. The only down side that I am sure they can not control is the homeless people that come in to use the bathroom. I was using the bathroom once and this guy came in yelling for me to get out. Needless to say I came out of the stall ready to hit someone. Moving on, we have recieved 2 free cakes over the past year! This cool old man that works in the bakery gave them to us around 9pm on Sunday night! (Thats a tip!) Its still the best place to shop and I love going to every week. Publix for life! read more

Pros: --extremely convenient location and ample garage parking underneath --like most other Publix's, always clean and staff is always helpful --deli rarely has a long line on weekends = quick subs! --open till 10pm, which is later than some other Publix's Cons: --Slightly limited selection on specialty items (ex - anti-pasta bar) and produce (due to space constraints I'm sure). --Not open 24 hours (I realize no Publix's are, and they're big on service and keeping employees happy, but still 24 gro-gro stores are clutch!) read more

There's also an attached parking garage (with elevators large enough for carts), which is a bonus again for being downtown. Plus, if you do live downtown, I think it's well worth the $.99 to buy one of their reusable green or black grocery bags. While we would kill for a Fresh Market, Ralph's, or Harris Teeter Downtown, we must admit that this particular Publix, at the very least, tries to rise above the average. The selection is adequate, as are the prices, but what sets this place apart are the staff, cleanliness, and accessibility. If we are looking for something they don't have, management will get it. I've never seen a dirty floor or spill any where (and the bathrooms are cleaner than ours). Unlike other Publix's, parking is a snap with a huge lot underground. We've already come to take this place for granted and forgot how much Downtown-life sucked without it. read more

I grew up going to the college park location, even before the renovation. Glad to see Publix chose the art deco Paramount location to keep the old timey charm. Now that I live downtown, this is my main grocery store. Some d/t businesses have a hard time staying open so I try to support this location as much as I can. Convenient location, clean & open until 10pm for those of us who like to shop late. Thankfully, Publix has it's own free and supervised parking area in the underground garage. I've never had trouble finding a parking spot. I think I recall seeing bike racks near the front of the building so I'll ride my bike my bike there when it gets warmer outside. My only gripe is that the Greenwise organic produce selection is quite limited. So I still have to hit up the Chamberlin's or Publix in the Winter Park village. However, nearly every aisle has a dedicated Greenwise section. THANK YOU PUBLIX! read more

Ever since this Publix location opened several years ago, I've ceased the bi-weekly, hour and a half long, $200 pilgrimage to the grocery store to stock up on food for the next zombie invasion. I work downtown and pass this store every day on my way home. It's so nice bringing home fresh bread, veggies and other provisions for dinner for one or two nights, rather than packing my freezer and cabinets full of food. It's definitely a smaller store so some of the things I normally buy aren't carried at this location, but I can usually find what I need for a heathy weeknight dinner. Everyone who works at this Publix is more than friendly and will go out of their way to help with whatever you need. I like that they carry Greenwise/organic options throughout the store, although you have to keep en eye out for them. I'm probably just spoiled by the Publix nearest to my home, which had an entire row and a half of the store dedicated to Greenwise items. But I digress... Bottom line, super convenient, good variety for a small store, and great people. read more

After three years of experiencing bad service here, I'm finally coming to comment on my situation from the other day. I absolutely fucking hate coming to this Publix, I live around the corner and I'd rather drive 22 minutes to Sodo Publix or to Mills Avenue. The deli department at this Publix is filled with morons no matter what time of the day. Not all of you but most of you. I specifically avoid this Publix after 8 PM because the people working there making the subs absolutely fucking hate their lives and their goal is to make everyone else's life as miserable as theirs so they work as slow as possible and don't respect other peoples time. Whenever I go to a different Publix and I speak to managers or cashiers telling them that I specifically avoid the Publixs downtown they all reply with the same thing either they used to work there and they transferred out or they already know and they give me a sarcastic look. Moral of the story this isn't a real Publix. It is a third-party supermarket who does not carry the same values as the friendly neighborhood, Publix, and every other location. False advertisement, using a respected branding name to attract the downtown crowd to this aftermarket Publixs. Get it together. read more

I love this Publix. It is very convenient because I literally live right next door. The employees are always friendly and helpful. I am here almost every other day. The only reason why I gave the store 3 stars was only because of the convenience. Like I said I live in the building next door. I go to this store almost every day. And almost all the time I am stopped at the front sliding door by someone asking for donations or asking me to sign a petition or a pan handler. Nice clean store friendly staff had A bit of a struggle finding some stockings (they were low and hasn't received shipment yet. I was however able to kill two birds with one stone by being able to get me a grilled turkey sandwich on a crossiant,fruit cup,lemonade and ponytail holders . This is the absolute worst grocery store in the world. No one at the register will even say hi to you. They are very unfriendly and unhelpful throughout the store. First visit to this Publix. Very urban style, not set up like the suburban style I'm used to in Seminole and Volusia County. Very clean and organized. I did not personally speak to any employees other than the cashier, but I could see various employees eagerly assisting other shoppers in the Bakery, Deli and Meat departments. They seem to have a much smaller selection of products than I am use to at the other Publix locations, specifically in the freezer and dairy sections. Definitely a nice and clean location with friendly staff. I was on foot that day, but did not see any parking other than street parking with parking meters. read more

I know they have their Greenwise line of organic items, but it's only for a very small amount of items. Further, I find that their prices aren't any better than Whole Foods where I have a much better selection and definitely not Freshfields Farm in Sodo (which I love). Very frustrated and disappointed in shopping experience at PUBLIX today. I went to Publix today on West Colonial Dr. in Winter Garden, FL. This Publix is located in Orange County, FL. On Saturday, Orange County Mayor Demings signed an Executive Order requiring Face Masks for all person when in public. When I entered the store, I immediately noticed a woman at the Customer Service Desk being waited on by Nick and she was not wearing a face mask. She soon proceeded into the store without her face covering. I then saw another woman with a full shopping cart and no face mask. After I saw another customer shopping without a face mask I asked a female associate in the Produce Department what the standard was for customers shopping without the required face mask. She shook her and said I do not know but you can talk to the Store Manager at the Customer Service Desk. I went to the Customer Service Desk and asked to speak to the manager. Nick, who I had seen earlier was very polite and paged Brandon who was the manager. While I was waiting for Brandon, I told Nick I noticed he was assisting a customer without a face mask when I enetered the store and asked him why he allowed her to be in the store. He said, I wish I could do something but I can't. When Brandon approached, I explained my concerns. With no eye contact he said there is nothing he could do and I would have to speak to Corporate. I asked him if he knew those customers were breaking the law and he repeated his answer. Total waste of time. As Brandon walked away, Nick asked me if I would like the Corporate Office contact number. I said yes and thanked him. I called the corporate office and left a message for the Regional Manger of this store whose name is Jeff. Jeff did call back later in the day and left me a voice mail message. I returned his call and am anticipating a call back tomorrow. It frustrates me that a business as large as Publix would ignore the Law in Orange County and allow people to shop without a face mask. At the entrance to the store both inside and out they had posted many large signs stating that face masks are required by law to enter the store. What is the point if the retailer makes zero effort to enforce the law? They have someone at the outside entrance to the store sanitizing and passing out shopping carts who could easily ask customers to wear a face mask. If they do not have one, they could provide them one. If the refuse, then ban them from entering the store. This is what Costco does and it is very effective. It is so frustrating that they make no effort to enforce the mask requirement. Masks are for the protection of every other shopper and every employee in their store. They just do not care. read more

Worst Publix experience of my life!!!! I went to this Publix during my lunch vreak. When I think of Publix two things come to mind, good quality products and AMAZING customer service! I went to the deli to order a ham sandwich. EVERY SINGLE OTHER LOCATION I've ever gone to will ask what type of ham I want but my deli clerk did not! She proceeded to slice my ham and when she walked over I noticed that it wasn't even the same color as the ham I usually get on my subs. She told me that this was the only one they use on subs and that was my only option. WTF!!!!!! I began to explain that I usually get a sweet ham and that's when she said it was special order and I should have said that. Here's the kicker guys, she goes over to slice the new ham and starts talking about me to her co-workers. I could tell because they all started looking up at me. This made me very uncomfortable and to be honest I wanted to talk to the manager u but I didn't have the time. She was noticably irritated during the entire order.
