My mom uses a mobile vet for her dogs. Obviously the mobile vet does not have access to prescriptions that she can carry around in her vehicle, so of course, when prescribing medication for the pets, she either writes a hard copy prescription or sends it electronically to whatever pharmacy you may want to pick it up from. At the last visit for my mom's dogs, they were prescribed their flea and tick medicine and my mother was unsure where to pick it up. She tried CVS, Walmart, Sam's and Walgreens, but none of them had it in stock. As a last resort, she tried Publix pharmacy And much to her surprise. They were able to order and get it the next day. I took her to pharmacy to pick it up and she was overjoyed at the service that she received. That is saying a lot because my mother is often misunderstood and hard to deal with. The employees at the S. Beach Parkway, Publix were so kind and helpful to her! While picking up the medication for the dogs, my mom inquired about several vaccines and when Publix would have them in stock. They had everyone that she asked about at that time in stock so she was extremely happy about that and decided to go ahead and get her own vaccines while in the store! Coincidentally I myself needed to change insurance is around the same time that we visited Publix and due to the reception that my mother received, I decided to change all of my pharmacy dealings to Publix myself! Publix pharmacy at rivertown shopps Dr Saint Johns fl . My husband is diabetic and had a bad itch on his leg and needed relief before his doctors appointment. I asked the pharmacist if there was a cream I could purchase for that itch and he rudely responded that person needs to see a doctor. As he's being RUDE the cashier is laughing like a clown in my face and he says nothing to her. Anyway I walked away and looked for myself and found a cream that helped. read more

I stopped by here after grabbing a quick bite next door. I walked in and found a not-so-busy store. I got a cart and proceeded to buy everything I needed for the rest of my stay in Jax. This store had everything I was looking for, and some stuff I needed but did not expect to find here. The store was clean and well stocked. The employees were super friendly. The guy who bagged my groceries even pushed the cart for me all the way back to my car. I tipped him for his help. We chatted a bit about the local area, and got some useful tips. Then I was off, heading back home. I'm impressed by this store. The employees here were very friendly, which reflected southern hospitality. They can teach the stores back home a few things. I went to this s Publix and ordered a three piece chicken dinner , I was sked what i wanted i said leg, breast and thigh . The rude young lady behind the deli counter said we have no legs , you have to take a wing .I said i do not eat wing ...can I have 2 breast and the thigh ...in a very condescending and rude manner she said I can't have 2 breast . Will not be returning to this deli ever again if I can help it. I've been living near this Publix for 3 years now, and while the staff working in the actual store is always friendly and helpful, this deli takes the cake for incompetence. They're consistently adding plant based options on the menu, however, these items are never available. Always too frozen, or in the words or last night's lady "it's all the way in the back and I don't know what box to look in". It's a shame I can't convey the attitude in her tone or the eye rolls I always get when I ask for that falafel sub (this is but one of the many issues and excuses I've heard). The sad part is, on the rare occasion I get someone who's willing to follow through with their job, the sub is fantastic, and one of the best vegan subs I've eaten. I love Whole Foods. I love Fresh Market. But I just can't afford to shop there all the time. And the selection is sometimes limited. Publix gets it right every time. The staff is kind, the hours aren't hard to figure out, the subs are great. Since the one across the street from us temporarily closed for remodel, we're finding ourselves here more often. The store brand of products easily compares to any brand name. The only thing that doesn't is the cheese crackers. Stick with Cheez-Its. It baffles my husband that everything else they do is so right and those just miss the mark. And while you have to verify with your local store, they take competitors coupons. So those $5 off $30 that you see on the back of Jaguars tickets. Totally usable at Publix. I (heart) Publix! read more

This is the LAST time I ever go to this pharmacy. The doctor wouldn't fill a prescription and the pharmacist said I needed to make an appointment. But I didn't know that until he told me. Would he give 2 or 3 DAYS of this life saving script? Of course not. Is this some kind of opiate - of course not. Have I been taking it for a YEAR - yes. But to treat me like I'm some kind of scammer trying to get meds or like a child who doesn't understand how to take this medication I've been taking since 1993!!!! Come on!! Every time I go there it's a problem. Text messages saying your prescription is ready and get there and there is nothing. Covid tests that are OPEN when I get home and manager won't AGREE that it's wrong to be open!!!!! But it's the lack of customer service and downright condescending treatment that gets me. Well, Once again today my wife asked me to pick up a prescription at this Publix pharmacy. I was absolutely dreading having to go here again. If I ever came to this pharmacy and there was not a problem I would be stunned, shocked and amazed. Every single time there is an issue. The script isn't ready yet, even though it's been hours since they received it from the doctor, even once from the day before. Today, not available because it was supposedly mailed to her. She calls them and they now want 20 minutes to fill it. So now here I am on the way back again. I cannot wait until January when her insurance changes and I NEVER have to come here again. read more

Early mornings I'm usually greeted by everyone while walking around. Pharmacy is always very good and helpful in filling prescriptions, together with offering the generic alternatives. The problems appear to always be with the insurance companies and filling the scripts under the terms of the coverages. The prescription insurance business is terrible and the folks here at Publix Pharmacy tend to bend over backwards to help our and intercede when possible. They are always looking to help out and provide assistance with understanding the insurance billing and restrictions. read more

I've been here a few times and don't understand where these people talking about the friendly staff are coming from. Because every time I'm met with silence, or frowns and I know it's because I'm black and I guess the staff doesn't see that often. I go to the cashier and she frowns and rings up my items in silence. In the aisles staff will make eye contact then quickly look away. But you'd think the staff of such a large chain would know a bit about equality and diversity. This is the worst run Publix I have ever shopped at. They are always out of something. When you go to Customer Service they are nice enough (they've had plenty of experience opologizing) but it's always "It's in a truck that is delivering said item later on today" They even ask if they can give you a call when the item gets there but as a busy person unless you are planning on delivering said item to my home today this is of no consolation. I ordered a cake in advance and when I picked it up iit looked like it had been dropped or frosted too soon whatever the reason it did not look good. I did get the cake for free but again it is of no consolation. I am a little spoiled. You see I just moved here from ST Johns county. The Plantation Plaza Publix where I used to shop was fantastic. They always had their shelves stock, the people are ULTRA friendly and they go out of your way to make the shopping experience a pleasure. All their workers are so professional, and so well trained!! This Publix has a long way to go on making the shopping experience a pleasure. My daughter warned me about this location. She does not shop at this Publix. She prefers to shop at the Publix near the Saw Grass Marriot where she works. That's a 20 minute (30 with traffic) drive from where I live. Why do would I have to go out of my way when one is right down the street from me? I have a suggestion; Re-assign the manager of this Publix, retrain him and put him somewhere else.
