Stopped by Walmart while in Jacksonville and overall it was a solid experience with just enough chaos to remind you you are in a busy store on planet Earth. Parking was easy enough and I was able to get in and out without feeling like I needed a map, a snack, and a small emotional support group just to find paper towels. Inside the store was pretty well stocked and I found most of what I needed without too much wandering, which honestly feels like a win these days. The best part was the convenience. Everything from groceries to random last minute items was there, and I definitely left with a few things I did not come for but suddenly decided I could not live without. It did get a little crowded in a few aisles and checkout took a bit longer than I would have liked, but nothing out of the ordinary for a busy store. Overall a reliable stop in Jacksonville. Good selection, decent prices, and a pretty smooth run all things considered. Four stars and I would definitely come back again when I need to grab everything and somehow still forget one important item. read more

If you're looking for a treasure trove of items, well stocked, and not as busy, this is the Walmart for you. On this particular trip I had an online item return, so I dreaded going to their customer service department, especially during the holidays. I was pleasantly surprised, no one was in line! My return took a little longer than I had hoped, but I was happy that I finally returned it. I then browsed around the store and needed to pick up a few items while I was there. Love love love this location! Right off of Phillips tucked in an access from two major roads. There are plenty of staff throughout the store to assist and help you locate items. For years this has been my favorite Walmart location. The associates are friendly, store is relatively clean, and the parking lot is ample. I think what I like most about it is the clientele. At this location, unlike the Bartram Walmart the people are more laidback, and not ready to run over you. I love self checkouts, and this location is about 98% self checkout. read more

Access to this Walmart was difficult as we had to turn on one specific road once off the 95, where there was train tracks, and a train going by of course. Lots of parking, and two different entrances. Lots of old looking shopping carts that needed some work on them. This is a medium sized location that had lots of stock, except for the antibacterial items we wanted. read more

This WM manager was not listening to me are her employees. Because the conversation had nothing to do with money. (It was customer service.) Her words then changed to. When directing the actual store manager Tony his demeanor and degrading of WM team staff was passive and lead to be unimportant. He described classifying discrimination, race, gender, sex, color. As agreement to her treatment to all customers as "Walmart Trash". my demeanor, act was do I look like Walmart trash to you? He stated no, you carry your self well. After associating with these two managers and walking through WM Supercenter ST#04444, the number of violations and protocols of safety become more clear to a visual eye. A valuation of these premises WM Supercenter ST#04444, has requested to be evaluated for state regulations and reported to the Attorney General. We've lived in quite a few areas of our country, and I think each Walmart has its very own distinct personality. I have to say that this particular store ranks in one of the nicest Walmarts I have visited. It was well staffed and very clean. I was really impressed with how big it was and everything it had to offer. It wasn't crowded, like so many I've visited. Looking for cereal? Check! A new pair of pajamas? Check! Oil for your car or bushes for your yard? Check, check! Need a COVID shot? Yep! I was able to sign up to get my Covid-19 shot this week, and I was scheduled at this Walmart Pharmacy. The Pharmacy was well staffed and everyone was very helpful. They clearly had a system in place and were really paying attention to Covid rules. Because I don't have a regular insurance card (we use our military identification cards as our insurance cards), it's always tricky signing into places that are not used to military personnel, dependents and/or retirees. To make matters even trickier, the pharmacist was new to Walmart, but he stuck with trying to get my information into their system; he was extremely patient. I'll need to go to get my second inoculation soon, and, well, even though I don't particularly like needles, I won't be dreading it. Thanks so much for taking care of me! I usually dread going to Walmart and when going to this one I thought it was going to be the same, but there were actually less people shopping at this store compared to others that I've had to visit on a Saturday afternoon. That's the main reason I had a great shopping experience here. Other reasons are the parking lot had ample parking, the store was moderately clean, and the cashiers were friendly. It's Walmart so it's about what you'd expect but this store is newer and seems pretty clean. Parking is pretty easy and it wasn't as crowded as I expected on a weekday around noon. On Dec 7 around 8pm, I was at this Walmart shopping around for a TV for my family. I was so happy that I found a great deal 50" Samsung TV for $99.00. My friend Tina was ready to buy one and I was too. We stood in line all ready to get a worker to help us load up our cart and pay. The associate looked at price and called the manager. The manager said no we can't purchase the TV for that price. It's clearly states on the shelf and I have pictures too. I was told by other customers that Walmart has to grant the price because it stated on the shelf that price. I really was excited and think it's not fair that I was declined the price when it their fault for not properly tagging the shelves with the correct price. I have been pleasantly surprised each and every time with the assertiveness and quick speed of the photo team! This Walmart is okay. It's newer, but still the same layout as all the others. My fiancé and I came here at night to find some fabric transfer (iron on photo sheets) and some t-shirts for his co-groomsmen and the groom. The lady at the photo booth corner told us as we were trying to find it. She was nice enough to tell us exactly where it was. The fabric transfers are located at the very very corner of the store near the garden entrance. Be careful of the pricing because they stuff all the different kinds in one stack with 3 or 4 prices together on one shelf. Not sure why they did that...but it does look deceiving as for some of us will see it as one price and not 3 different kinds. The restrooms aren't that clean (for the women side). It's sort of is clean but the horrible smell is what killed it. Seriously, it smelled like urine/period blood. Not a good combo... So try to stay away from the restrooms as much as possible. We walked around the men's clothes sections and found the plain t-shirts. Good price and had big and tall sizes which are great. Overall, it was good, but just stay away from the restrooms. WalMart grocery pickup has been GREAT until today. I have been picking up groceries at the Avenues Mall Walmart Supercenter for about 4 months. I tend to pick up on Saturday morning on a weekly basis. Gerry, an associate, has been an outstanding employee- prompt, efficient and super friendly. Today, my order was scheduled to be ready between 10-11am. I received a text at 10:40 indicating it was complete. I arrived a little after 11am. It is 11:52 and I am still waiting. read more

It's a Walmart so my expectations were dismal at best. I was looking for distilled water for my steamer. I looked in water and housewares, cleaning supplies and asked several people. Apparently I am from the moon as they either don't carry it or were out. I stopped at a dollar store and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was stocked. This Walmart is new and seems to be constructed on a secluded lot with a few other retail stores that was build-able only because an expensive bridge linked it off Phillips Rd. So if you can find it they have a small selection of groceries and retail. It is really in an odd location. I'm sure there is a backstory behind the site. read more

I have to say this is the one and only Walmart that is truly customer centered and clean. The latter being the most important. The shelfs were very well stocked something I normally do not find at the San Jose store and there was no odors, unlike the philips highway near Emerson store. I truly enjoy shopping at this Wal-Mart a lot more than all of the other ones in Jacksonville. The cashiers and workers at this location is much more polite. The store is cleaner and organized. The restroom is clean on most days, doesn't smell like most other walmart bathrooms. I shopped here yesterday for Christmas decorations, they had it sectioned off in the garden area which was convenient. It's far from the other merchandise and it wasn't too crowded or hectic. I also did my usual grocery shopping and was checked out quickly. The veggies are mostly fresh, the yogurts, milk and poultry are easy to find as well. It's in a cool place though, it's like hidden and you have to go over a hill to get to it. I got here to buy boxed products because quite frankly it's cheaper here than it is at Publix or Target. I came today at around noon to try and make a return. An employee by the name of Theresa was manning the customer service desk and she could not have been more unhelpful, she couldn't find one of the items on the computer so she told me to stand aside and she proceeded to take several other customers behind me, until I finally spoke up and told her that I had been trying to complete my returns for a total of 30 minutes and if she could please just finish up my return before helping any other customers that had just arrived. She refused to help me after that. I went and found a manager by the name of SANDY who, after I explained my situation, she was MOST helpful and polite to me. She jumped right into action to make sure my refund was quickly processed. Without SANDY this review would've been a 1 star. She deserves these 5 stars! read more

*This review is for grocery pickup only. * I decided to try out the grocery pickup. I hate grocery shopping so this is perfect for me. I pulled up and parked in one of the spots and checked in on the app. There were two other cars there. About 5 mins later a worker loaded groceries into another car then asked my name and checked his scanner. Another 10 minutes passed before another worker came out with my groceries. I love the concept I just feel the workers move a little slow but it still beats going inside. They do substitutions if they don't have the exact brand. You can choose what you want substituted. I bought birthday candles, the ones shaped as numbers. Well one of the numbers was out so they substituted it. I wish they would have chose the same brand for both numbers. They are different sizes and colors. One is pink and glittery and 1 inch and the other is white with polka dots and 2 inches. They could have used common sense and grabbed two of the same brand. read more

I wasn't going to rate this Walmart because I really didn't see much of a difference from the other Walmart's I have been to, however, this Walmart really had me frustrated! This experience was mainly due to the employees. I understand, you have an assignments to accomplish from your boss but I'm sure your boss doesn't want you to accomplish your tasks with no regard or respect for the shoppers...the consumers...the person spending their money. Incident #1, I am trying to grab a tee shirt in my size but the employee felt that straightening and rehanging shirts was much more important than me spending my money, that she didn't move. I just stood there to see how long I had to wait. And yes, she saw me because she turned around and looked at me. So finally she moves and I started looking for my color and size and guess what??? She returns and tells me, "excuse me" and reaches to return yet another shirt to the rack I'm trying to get my shirt from which means I had to move out her way! Uuughhhh....really??? Incident #2, I'm pushing my cart and my mom is in Walmart's electric cart. We are walking/riding up the main aisle near the cash registers and an employee pushing one of those big carts that you use at Home Depot to put long pieces of wood on, comes FLYING across the aisle! I mean, almost in a jog! We intersect at the same time almost crashing into us and instead of saying, excuse me and allow us to go, she gives us this dirty look!! The ONLY reason we went first was because she was forced to stopped because I was gonna "take one for the team" and get hit. Let's be real you are gonna get what you get at Walmart service wise. There's probably going to be stuff in the wrong area, stock outs and carts full of food blocking the aisles. But if you can get over that you usually can't beat the prices. This location is tucked off the main road which I like. Like most Supercenter a you can enter from the food side or the home side. The self check out is on the food side. I usually do not use self checkout unless I am doing a one item pick up. If you are working the cashier line, I'll stand in it. Yesterday I purchased a Samsung soundbar model R60M from Walmart at 8808 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville but unfortunately the Subwoofer didn't work. I called Samsung and after about an hour on the phone their customer service rep told me they couldn't get it working and recommended that I return it for exchange. When I returned to the store I was told by their customer service clerk that my subwoofer had an incorrect s/n and it could not be returned. I explained it was the speaker that came in the box but they didn't seem to care, no exchange for me. I blew my top and then some big jerk named Tim stepped in telling me to either calm down or he'd thrown me out of the store. Finally the department manger agreed to an exchange and then she discovered that the s/n of the soundbar and subwoofer they had in stock didn't match either. Very bad customer service. read more

So because of the bad reviews I was hesitant to stop here but being on the road and needing some snackage and travel supplies, my husband and I decided to stop. Thank goodness for the Big truck parking!!! We stop inside and this place is CLEAN and NEAT compared to some other walmarts we have been to. We decided to get some fresh fruit cups in the produce department and they were fresh and sweet! We were here at about 12:00a so there wasn't a whole lot of people but every worker was busy stocking and cleaning up so that was good to see. Ample parking and we weren't that far from the door even in a big rig! We were able to get everything we needed and even found some extra snacks and food items that we don't get back home. I have to tell my husband to stope here more often to get what I want and can't find back home! Haha read more

I hate Walmart. That being said, this location is super close to my work and much better than most. If I can help it, I hit the Target down the road but sometimes you just have to fight through Walmart (today I needed lightbulbs for the brake lights of my car). As other people have mentioned, this location seems to b a little cleaner and more well kept than others, perhaps because it doesn't stay open 24 hours. It does seem to always be packed but it may be because I tend to come by at lunch time. If you're nearby and must hit a Walmart, this is the one you should stop by. read more

Ah, Walmart. Like McDonalds, it's the late-night booty call of retail. Everyone looks down on them, yet everyone goes there. This is my location. It's close to home, easy to get in and out of generally speaking and though the location has the personality of a warehouse you can't argue with the prices and the convenience of getting nearly everything you could want under one roof. Could this store be better? Sure it could. It could be bright and more finished with better organization, but then it'd just be Target. Seriously though, this is a fine location. The store is well stocked, it is organized just fine and the staff are always very pleasant and helpful if I need something. As far as clientele this location isn't nearly as bad as others can be, and that's why I tend to prefer shopping here over other locations. Sundays, especially on NFL Sundays are a bit nutty, and I try to avoid it, or go earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds. read more

I order a cake from Walmart and gave them enough time to make the cake. When I came to pick the cake up it look like a toddler easy baker oven could have done better. The cake was awful and the bakery lady Karen had the audacity to argue how the cake looks like the picture. I simply stated facts of how the picture has no lumps and bumps in it, they didn't try to smooth the cake down. Well it's Wal-Mart! The stores are usually conveniently located. I needed orange juice and coffee creamer. I found a Nestle Coffee Mate creamer called Mexican Chocolate. It is really good. It reminds me a little of the spicy coffees at some of my favorite local coffee spots. So, if you can't get out for coffee, this is a good one to try at home. The store was clean.
