Within a matter of minutes, I got a call back from Dale letting me know that he could make me 6 for the next day. I was elated and said I'll be there to pick them up. Upon picking up the bagels, Dale was so friendly and welcoming and the bagels were exuding with garlic (my favorite). They were soft, super fresh and absolutely delish!! The store also had other baked goods like chunky chocolate chip cookies, brownies, cakes and a cool dessert....gelato. I have never had gelato before but I will definitely return to give it a try. I picked: a large fluffy maple roll. The outside reminded me of a croissant in the best way with some mild maple sweetness and the inside was moist, pillowy, and rich. I heated it up in the oven next day which made it even better. A square coconut roll... crisp and flaky on the outside with the most delightful sweet coconut cream inside and flaked almonds on top. This was my favorite. Will get multiple next time. And a pair of taro rolls. These I was most excited for as I love taro, and they weren't bad at all, but were probably my least favorite of the 3, purely because they had an eggy aftertaste. They weren't overly sweet with a nice smooth taro filling. I also tried a taro milk tea with soy milk. These normally include lavender too, but I asked for mine without. The flavor was off the charts good. Strangely it was nothing like the usual taro drinks I've tried and I couldn't place what I was tasting, but it was rich and creamy and so satisfying. I think they close at 7 PM. Definitely enjoying my birthday shake and just taking a minute to take a load off. Bounce back from a hectic day. I love the environment. Most of the seating is booth seats. Therefore, you can be comfortable and you can stretch out and enjoy yourself and relax with a friend or even by yourself. If you don't want to sit in the booth, you can sit at the wood table with two chairs for a more intimate setting. I utilize the app most time when purchasing something here because I'm pretty much always on the go. I love that. I love the option order ahead, access the drive-through or walk up, come on in and pick up your drink at the end of the counter where it says mobile pick up. (Just look up) Haven't had much staff interaction however there's a brunette with curly hair that's most often in the driveway in the morning. She's very friendly and customer friendly. I found pricing to be fair. The free Wi-Fi is not so free. You actually have to purchase something to get the code from Free WiFi, but I get it. Nobody wants anybody just sitting around using their Wi-Fi. It's all about the bandwidth baby. Lol. So make sure when you come in, you order ahead or mosey on up to the register and place a sit down, enter your WiFi code into your browser and be productive. Oh, I forgot to mention there are other drinks that you can purchase that are not coffee or tea based. They are energy drinks. There is orange juice, apple juice, as well as there are things for you to nosh on like Hubig's pie, cookies, brownies, avocado toast, cake pops and the like. Last thing I forgot to mention is there are benefits to your purchases. The more purchases you accumulate the more reward points you get and the more free stuff that you can redeem with those points. So once the bright morning light is really getting intense you can stroll out of Ms. Mae's and head right into Undergrowth Coffee where they also have food but I've never gotten the food but I do get the coffee and they do have some good coffee here. So after a long nights work and some fun at Ms. Mae's it is a great thing to have a nice hot cup of coffee to chase down the Ms. Mae's breakfast beers to energize you for the walk home.
