    Massive menu!

What a wonderful place to sit on a patio, eat a great breakfast and breathe the fresh cool mountain air! They have an expansive menu which makes it hard to decide! Everyone's food looked and smelled so yummy! I ordered a green chili pork omelette with extra black beans on the side also came with toast with homemade strawberry jam. It was an enormous portion and really tasty! I appreciated the wonderful service too. There is plenty of parking, even for large vehicles or RVs. I highly recommend and will be back again next time I'm in Flagstaff.

We visited Puebla Sunrise after spending a couple of days in Flagstaff and needed a dog-friendly brunch spot. We were happy they welcomed our pup, Frankie, and the atmosphere and food were fantastic. The downside was the slow service; despite multiple reminders, they never brought the water we requested for our dog. Overall, we still enjoyed the visit thanks to the great food and welcoming atmosphere, and we'd visit again next time we're in town. Four stars!

Good, but needs improvement for a five star review! I had the Chicken Poblano Mole Omelette. The omelette itself was nice and fluffy, the chicken was tender and the poblano mole sauce was yummy! Love the avocado slices on top. The country red potatoes were gross. The chunks of potato were uneven in size so some were cooked to a crisp and other chunks were under cooked and they were very oily. The sourdough toast was good, and loved the homemade strawberry preserves. Happy that they serve Juaritos soda, so I could have my fave, Tamarindo! Prices are decent, service was efficient, and the food came out quickly. It was a bit too windy for the patio, but would like to try that next time, although no complaints about the interior. I know they are a newer family business, so I'm sure they are working on improving. Will definitely try again!

Stumbled upon this place while going to another place and it was packed Seated promptly. The waiter took our drink order I did notice a couple leaving since they were not asked for their drink order. This should have told me how service was going to be. I got the pork green chili omelette. I liked it and something i never had but they forgot my toast. The hash browns were okay. My wife had the waffle and she said it didn't had any flavors. And we had to ask for refills as the waiter never stopped back.

Delicious authentic Mexican food. I loved the atmosphere and clean restaurant. We really enjoyed the patio seating what a great addition to downtown. I loved my chilaquiles, it has just the right amount of spice. The serve was fantastic, really attentive to our table. One thing I noticed in another review that was wrong is they have an entire parking lot on the side of the restaurant, you literally just have to turn left into the parking lot right after the railroad tracks.

My husband and I ate here with our three dogs a few weeks ago. I really love that. They have the fenced in patio that allows dogs. They even brought our dogs water, which I thought was really sweet. The server was also very kind and helpful. we ordered some basic breakfast dishes, and had no complaints. I forgot to take pictures, however, I did feel like it was a good value for what you get and it was just what we were looking for!

First off the customer service was excellent! René helped answer all of our questions and made sure we had what we needed. I am very picky with flavors. My family came to try this restaurant. I was skeptical to try the chile rellenos so I only tried one. Welp the red salsa flavor was on point and without heat so my son was also able to eat it ! It was sooo good we went the next day and I ordered 4! We also tried their chicken mole which the flavors brought back memories of my moms cooking. If you do decide to try the mole ask Mauricio how it is prepared and made (a lot of work goes into it). We have also intentionally made a detour just to come have the chile rellenos. If you are ever in Flagstaff COME TRY them out!

Cafe de Olla (cinnamon coffee) delicious! And their cream let selection, no non-dairy options 8/2025

I've never had French toast come with a scoop of vanilla ice cream but maybe more should! The berry French toast was delicious. We also shared the mole omelette, perfect mole. I loved the cafe de olla coffee, no non-dairy milk option but I didn't need it! I had it black with a little sweetener and I haven't stopped thinking about that cup of joe! I'd go back just for the cafe de olla coffee

Overall I rate this place a 4/10. The service was okay 6/10 definitely could use some improvement. The ambiance 6/10 was very old school Mexican diner type; something I would call a hole in the wall. The food was a disappointment. I had such high hopes since the owners are Mexican but the sazón has left the building. I had the mole & it was just okay 4/10 ; the rice portion was skimpy and was served nearly cold. My friend got chilaquiles and she rated them 5/10; "sauce was good but chips were cold". There's potential there and it seems like if you're not used to traditional Mexican food this could be a good place for you.

The service was pretty good and I enjoyed the restaurant's ambiance. However, the food wasn't very good. The crepe tasted flavorless. I also had cafe de olla and it tasted like normal machine brewed coffee... disappointing. I wouldn't go back.

We stopped in on our way through Flagstaff for brunch and this place did not disappoint. Fast service but never felt rushed, the food was amazing and it was clean including the bathrooms. I had the chilaquiles sunrise based on the waiter's recommendation and it was hot and full of flavor. My husband had a pork green chile omelette which he enjoyed. Their specialty coffee with cinnamon was so delicious. I've never had it before but it needed nothing, no cream or sugar. They said they just opened about 7 months ago. They were all working hard and you can tell their customers are their #1 priority.

**July 2026: Tuesday and Wednesday Morning**…read more I usually make it a point to try new places when I travel, so the fact that I ate at Forêt FLG twice in the same trip should say everything about how much I enjoyed it. I was initially drawn in after hearing that Chef Sam Greenhalgh was a semifinalist for the 2024 James Beard Award (Best Chef: Southwest), and I was curious to try his food for myself. On my first visit, my friend and I ordered the Canelés de Bordeaux, Pain au Chocolat, Soft Scrambled Egg Plate, and Breakfast Burrito. We came back again for breakfast and tried the scrambled eggs toast and a savory waffle. Everything we had was delicious, but the Soft Scrambled Egg Plate was truly something special. The eggs were unbelievably light and fluffy, paired with perfectly buttered, toasted bread that somehow felt magical in its simplicity. The heirloom tomatoes and creamy avocado added such a fresh, balanced touch. It's a simple dish, but the execution was exceptional--and honestly, that's what makes it so memorable. I know it sounds a little crazy to return twice for something so simple, but it was just that well done. The breakfast burrito was a strong second favorite. We took it to go as we continued our road trip toward the Four Corners Monument, and it held up really well. It was packed with flavor, and I especially loved that the tortilla had a nice crisp to it. The pastries were also excellent--flaky, buttery, and everything you'd hope for--but for me, that scrambled egg plate is the standout and something I would come back for again and again.

We had a standard queen room both times and it's spacious, bathroom has two sinks one in and one out so yconvenient for two people sharing. The pool is a roundish shape but large enough to swim some laps when there aren't a lot of children there. There are four 2 level inter connected buildings and #4 being the furthest away from the lobby - you can park your car (parking is free) close to any building but it's a bit of a walk on foot. Location is a bit out of town not walking distance to downtown Flagstaff. Rating it a 3 star due to service. On a day when they don't seem to be full they still wouldn't accommodate a late check out by just an hour (at noon instead of 11 am) which I didn't think would have made any difference to them but would have made a huge one for us. Then there is the breakfast. Nice dining room and all, but service was slow and the food came lukewarm, this at a time when it was early and hardly anyone in the dining room. And in addition to that, I had tea and it came in a tea pot with one weak tea bag, and as I like my tea strong I asked for another tea bag in the same pot and was told I'd be charged a second pot of tea ($5). This kind of stinginess just doesn't befit the seeming stature of such a hotel. And finally, the teacup they gave me had a long crack in it - I discovered it when i saw the saucer filing up with tea and didn't think I spilled any in it. The crack was old and stained, not a new one, so it was shocking that no staff had noticed it for this long and cared enough to not continue using it. Let's just say I'd never encountered broken cups like this in lesser priced motels. For this trip to Flagstaff I also had a two-night stay in another hotel downtown and other than the swimming pool, it was much better value and more comfortable with more helpful staff - and no broken tea cups!

For the kids I especially appreciated the extensive mix and match ala carte options. It is absolutely one of those nostalgic vegan cafes like I frequented in college I won't say how many years ago - whole foods from scratch cooking, a little under salted (they have salt on the table if you prefer restaurant level salting), great use of spices for flavor, nothing trendy just wholesome reliably good food. We had the tamales (both lunch and breakfast plates), classic French toast, fruit cup, sausages, steamed greens, cheesecake, peanut butter chip cookie, and brownie. Loved it all, the scrambled tofu was a surprise hit with the whole crew, pinto beans are cooked from dried with a great creamy consistency, the warm spice in the French toast made it appealing to the grown ups without being "too spicy" for the kids. Home fries were another surprise hit with crispy exterior and fluffy interior on each piece. Desserts were very good - the blueberry cheesecake and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies were the favorites. The tamales were very good but on the smaller side, if you're here for the tamales definitely opt into the small upcharge for a second tamale.
