This was our brunch spot post a beautiful hike at Fatmans loop! Both my friend and I got the chilaquiles! She got chicken and I got the skirt steak with it. Very generous portions. What a wonderful place to sit on a patio, eat a great breakfast and breathe the fresh cool mountain air! They have an expansive menu which makes it hard to decide! Everyone's food looked and smelled so yummy! I ordered a green chili pork omelette with extra black beans on the side also came with toast with homemade strawberry jam. It was an enormous portion and really tasty! I appreciated the wonderful service too. There is plenty of parking, even for large vehicles or RVs. I highly recommend and will be back again next time I'm in Flagstaff. read more

We visited Puebla Sunrise after spending a couple of days in Flagstaff and needed a dog-friendly brunch spot. We were happy they welcomed our pup, Frankie, and the atmosphere and food were fantastic. The downside was the slow service; despite multiple reminders, they never brought the water we requested for our dog. Overall, we still enjoyed the visit thanks to the great food and welcoming atmosphere, and we'd visit again next time we're in town. Four stars! read more

Not sure why this place have high reviews. We got chicken mole omelette and egg benedict. Both were below average. The chicken was not seasoned and rest of the omelette was blend. Got a cheese biscuit because it was homemade...very dense and blend. Got a side order of sausage gravy, very little sausage and no flavor. The egg benedict were just ok. The food were served just barely warm. The only thing I enjoyed was the strawberry jelly that came with the biscuit. read more

Good, but needs improvement for a five star review! I had the Chicken Poblano Mole Omelette. The omelette itself was nice and fluffy, the chicken was tender and the poblano mole sauce was yummy! Love the avocado slices on top. The country red potatoes were gross. The chunks of potato were uneven in size so some were cooked to a crisp and other chunks were under cooked and they were very oily. The sourdough toast was good, and loved the homemade strawberry preserves. Happy that they serve Juaritos soda, so I could have my fave, Tamarindo! Prices are decent, service was efficient, and the food came out quickly. It was a bit too windy for the patio, but would like to try that next time, although no complaints about the interior. This place was so cute and friendly. I loved walking in and hearing the music and seeing all of the decorations. The staff was also very kind and helpful, which I appreciated. The menu offers a lot of different items, which I was excited about. The smell coming from the kitchen definitely made me hungry. When I got my food though, I was a bit disappointed. I felt that the serving size for the price wasn't great. I also felt that the rice and beans specifically needed salt, pepper, and other seasonings as it tasted bland. Someone in my party got the coffee de olla and said that it was "okay". The other reviews are so high, maybe I missed something? I'd definitely try them again, even just due to the stellar service and feel. I think they deserve another try. Places always have off days sometimes. read more

Stumbled upon this place while going to another place and it was packed Seated promptly. The waiter took our drink order I did notice a couple leaving since they were not asked for their drink order. Delicious authentic Mexican food. I loved the atmosphere and clean restaurant. We really enjoyed the patio seating what a great addition to downtown. I loved my chilaquiles, it has just the right amount of spice. The serve was fantastic, really attentive to our table. One thing I noticed in another review that was wrong is they have an entire parking lot on the side of the restaurant, you literally just have to turn left into the parking lot right after the railroad tracks. read more

My husband and I ate here with our three dogs a few weeks ago. I really love that. They have the fenced in patio that allows dogs. They even brought our dogs water, which I thought was really sweet. Came here for breakfast after reading some reviews. I ordered the chicken fried steak with hash browns. The steak was one of the better ones I've had and the hash browns were cooked crispy as requested. My girlfriend had the eggs, bacon and home fries. The home fries weren't as good as the hash browns. We also started with chips and salsa and they were delicious. The service was great. Greeted as soon as we walked in the door and the waiter checked on us frequently. We went on a Sunday morning and it wasn't very busy. We decided to sit inside though there is a patio available. The owner walked around and talked to all the tables. First off the customer service was excellent! René helped answer all of our questions and made sure we had what we needed. I am very picky with flavors. My family came to try this restaurant. I was skeptical to try the chile rellenos so I only tried one. Welp the red salsa flavor was on point and without heat so my son was also able to eat it ! It was sooo good we went the next day and I ordered 4! We also tried their chicken mole which the flavors brought back memories of my moms cooking. If you do decide to try the mole ask Mauricio how it is prepared and made (a lot of work goes into it). We have also intentionally made a detour just to come have the chile rellenos. This place is very cute and clean. The food is authentic Mexican cuisine. We shared the chile rellenos plate and it was delicious and freshly made. My husband doesn't like black beans but he liked these. I had a Mexican coffee and it was really nice. They use real Mexican canela. Our server, sorry I didn't get his name, was very knowledgeable, friendly and a great salesman. He's a real asset. He even brought a sample of their mole and some chips to try. Delicious! Overall I rate this place a 4/10. The service was okay 6/10 definitely could use some improvement. The ambiance 6/10 was very old school Mexican diner type; something I would call a hole in the wall. The food was a disappointment. I had such high hopes since the owners are Mexican but the sazón has left the building. I had the mole & it was just okay 4/10 ; the rice portion was skimpy and was served nearly cold. My friend got chilaquiles and she rated them 5/10; "sauce was good but chips were cold". This place has amazing food, so much so that I went there for breakfast twice in the same week. The first time, I had the pork green chili omelet with hash browns. Really good with just the right amount of heat to the green chili sauce. The second time I had the chicken mole poblano omelet. The mole sauce was amazing, really deep complex flavors with again, just the right amount of heat. The omelet was stuffed with chicken and I couldn't get enough of this dish. Found this place by chance after getting stopped at the train tracks. A family owned place with welcoming, friendly staff. The place has outdoor seating with a covered patio with Mexican music playing. There is plenty of seating inside and a pool table. We went two days in a row for breakfast. It's homemade, like eating at my family's house. My favorite was the mole enchiladas. Best black beans I've had for a minute. The biscuits and gravy had great flavor but the biscuits toughened up when they began to cool. The pancake game is on point! Our second visit I had chilaquiles sunrise. I wish they added a little more sauce but they were still delicious. You can get red, green or both sauces. If you like a little more spice ask for a side of salsa. I stopped in yesterday for breakfast/lunch not knowing what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised. The theme is Mexican with a variety of items. I was welcomed as soon as I entered and shown to a nice booth. The style of the cuisine comes from Puebla and is very flavor focused. I ordered a Cafe de Olla - now I'm usually a milk and sugar girl but I tried this before I doctored it and it was DELICIOUS. I'm here this morning for a Cafe de Olla. I had the mole chicken omelette and the mole was CHEF'S KISS . It just opened recently and has plans to expand to dinner service as well as breakfast and lunch. This will be on my list of regular places for future trips. read more

My husband and I ate here for breakfast in June. We like the place. My omelette was creative and tasty. I got a chicken mole omelette which was fun. Their mole comes from Puebla, Mexico. I liked the mole's mildly sweet chocolate flavor and I liked the peppery white sour cream stripe on my omelette. The chicken in my breakfast was tender. The omelette's eggs had air bubbles. My husband ordered eggs over medium but he got eggs over hard. He said the sausage was very good. The pancakes had a nice flavor. We both ordered coffee and thought it was excellent. I also ordered a Cafe de Olla, which I enjoyed. It was was a little sweet with a little cinnamon. Our server Rene proudly told us they use crushed cinnamon instead of powder so the coffee does not get cloudy. The cafe de olla is made in a stainless steel container not the traditional Mexican clay pot. The restaurant has nice outdoor seating. Much of the seating inside is dark. However, there are about 6 booths inside along the large front windows. There are pretty trees and shade sails sheltering the front lower level lawn seating. When we visited in June they might have been serving breakfast all day. As of late August they close at 3:00 but may hope to expand their hours. Our server Rene was friendly, gracious and informative. Rene said if you order strawberry crepes the whipped cream is house made, not from a can. The ladies room was immaculate. The owners are different from the previous owners who operated the Altitude bar. This restaurant is very close to the train depot. There is paid public parking across the street. read more
