We get our car back and the steering well is jerking badly. The tech didn't say anything when we got the car so we assumed we needed an alignment which Walmart doesn't do. We took it to brakes plus and was called into to the lift were our vehicle was and informed that Walmart should not have done a balance and rotation as the right front tire had cord slippage which basically causes a heave in the tire. The cord slippage was huge. The tech at Walmart HAD to have seen this. I called immediately and spoke with the female manager in the auto dept. She said she would look into it and asked me what it meant when I said cord slippage. You're the manager of the auto dept so maybe you should know that. We got a new tire and then went to Walmart so I could show her the tire as we took photos. She was there but the head tech Jess was. I explained to her the issue and she immediately says, well we don't check for tire safety. So your technician sees a huge heave or bubble in a tire, lets the people leave and a blowout occurred killing half the people in the car and you don't think you are liable? She just stared at me. I ask to see the manager and who I spoke with and she is mysteriously not there. She gets her coach on the phone, coach Joe. He tells this, " I just hire these people off the street and they don't go through school or anything. They're like me. They don't know anything unusual about tires". At this point, I know I look stupid with my jaw dropped at this. I tell him, I am a layperson. Not an expert but I can't understand how these "experts" didn't see this heave when the tire is off and in their hands". And on top of that, the balance and rotation SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PERFORMED and is not worthless. Coach Joe doesn't like that I called the service worthless and offers a refund which I accept. I don't care about the $120. I care that we take our cars to them and they let us leave in unsafe vehicles that could have catastrophic results. I would've bought a damn tire from them yesterday if they mentioned it! I will never take a car back there for any reason

Well, during the recent cold spell, my battery took a dump and my car wouldn't start. I called AutoZone and the employee gave me a detailed list of available batteries that would work in my car from low to high-end. When I took my battery in the manager, checked it and said it looked like it was OK so he offered to charge it for free. When I went to pick it up another employee informed me that I did need a new battery because it would not charge. He helped me pick out a battery that was good for a cold weather and also suggested a battery protection kit. I went home and was able to get the battery in but I couldn't get the screws to tighten and I accidentally dropped a J hook inside the car. I drove to AutoZone and asked if they would let me borrow a tool so that I can tighten the nuts. The employee not only provided a tool, but she came out and tightened the nuts for me. I explained to her that I dropped the J hook, and she gave me an extra one. As I was trying to get the J hooks on another employee came out to help me, but I explained to him I had dropped one down in the car. Not only did the manager come out to fish the J Hook out of my car, but another employee from another location, pulled up and assisted him with this task. They got my battery installed properly and securely positioned! I have never had such extraordinary service from all employees at the same business. After I got home, I was curious to see Which AutoZone I had initially called for information and low and behold, it was the Pueblo West AutoZone! And if things couldn't get any better when I went to pick up my battery, a man walked in with his pet monkey, who was wearing banana diapers! I swear I am not making this up. I can't wait to stop by AutoZone in Pueblo West for my next routine maintenance!
