First time trying Pueblo Real, and I'm officially hooked! I had heard so many great things about this place, and I'm happy to say that it absolutely lives up to the hype. The menu is full of tempting options, but one thing you have to try is the queso fundido ,a rich, cheesy chorizo dip that pairs perfectly with their warm chips. As a bonus, they serve complimentary fresh salsa and coleslaw that are both fresh and flavorful. I went with the carnitas, and wow, perfectly seasoned, fall-apart tender. And if you're into drinks, don't leave without trying the Margarita Sampler. It's a flight of four mini margaritas, each with its own twist, fun, flavorful, and just the right size to try a few without overdoing it. Food was good. The hearty (or was in chunky) guacamole was great. We ate outside, and got right to a table (6:30ish). Inside seatng was busy, but pretty cleared out by 8:00. Service was good. This is the best Mexican sit-down food that we have found in the Erie area. Better than the place on upper Peach. read more

Dined numerous times. Very good for the price. Maybe not the best but definitely can't go wrong with this choice. Service is always on point and very friendly. Queso is fantastic it shouldn't be overlooked. Wet burritos are a fantastic choice as is the Diablo burrito, but very spicy. Recommend for Mexican lovers. read more

In general I don't usually like Mexican style food @ Restaurants ... I am the pickiest person. BUT let me just TELL YOU the Food is AMAZING here! Service was excellent and accommodating AS WELL very polite and patient ! Sorry I didn't take pictures of the food like I usually do- that just means it was that amazing - the food is all I thought about while eating it- also means - I need to visit again! The flavors were so rich and deep combination and the queso variation was a hit! Even my kids like their American version of burgers and fries! The fries with the queso- oh my! We've eaten there many times since they opened, and was satisfied with my dining experience until recently. After patiently waiting 20 minutes for a table, another couple arrived in which the waiter came right up to them and told them they would get them a table. (It was at this time we informed the waiter we were there first, but the waiter ignored us) After another 15 minutes the couple was seated. When I asked why we were over looked, we were given a table and then waited another 20 minutes with no service. We left. They have no reservations, and do not take names when you arrive. We went to Chico Bar restaurant in Fairview and had a great meal. If you're not a regular or frequent customer, you may find yourself waiting. read more

I can't believe I haven't tried Pueblo Real, Girard before! Decided last minute to give it a try after deciding our normal go to Mexican spot has been a let down lately. We were greeted and sat quickly for a Friday night at dinner time. Our server was wonderful! We were brought chips and salsa and to my surprise coleslaw. I also asked for pico de galo which was fresh and flavorful! When I asked to verify what it was he confirmed coleslaw and said it goes well together. And shockingly I agree. I ordered a medium passion fruit frozen margarita and it was comparable to a large ordered anywhere else. It was delicious. Not to tart not to sweet but perfect! Next your meals. We ordered the AP special and the seafood burrito. I love that it has just the right amount of melted cheese not to overwhelming and left the flavors of all other food to be enjoyed. We ordered both the Oreo bash dessert and the Mexican fried ice cream which in my opinion is the best I have had in awhile. But the best and most surprising part was that all of this only came to $50 and we have left overs! Great service. Great food. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Solidly middling Mexican joint we tried recently while traveling in the area. The food was attractive if a bit bland. The carnitas were a definite disappointment. The menu advised (as is typical) that the dish was comprised of pork chunks but we were actually served pulled pork. Disappointing. Easily Girard's best restaurant! We were visiting for Thanksgiving and decided to bring our family (5 adults, 1 toddler) here for dinner on Friday. The restaurant atmosphere itself was so clean and inviting. We were seated immediately with enough room for us all and our toddler on the end. Our waiter was incredibly friendly, upbeat, and helpful. We asked if our toddlers meal could come first for time to cool down and he gladly honored that. All of our dishes were incredible - fresh, SO much flavor, generous portions. My husband and I live in a large city with a significant amount of Mexican establishments and this quesadilla was easily one of my favorites. I'm so impressed and thankful Girard has this gem! So glad that this wonderfully authentic Mexican restaurant has opened a new location in Pennsylvania and rehabbed an abandoned Pizza Hut! We were eager to test this place out as soon as the location opened and it did not disappoint! Despite the parking lot being packed (on a Wednesday night), we were seated right away and received quick, courteous, and friendly service. The decor is a bit sleek and somber - lots of dark wood tones and dark seats, wood and beautiful new stone and tile work, but with some fun decor just like you'd expect. Our waiter took our drink order almost immediately. I must recommend the frozen lime margarita. It's smooth and satisfying, especially for a house drink. The first order of chips and salsa is on the house and is just what you want at a place like this. The salsa is exceptionally smooth and very tomato forward. Our chips were also served with a wonderful side of something we could not identify but I would liken it to a cheesy creamy coleslaw. Strange perhaps but very good, especially against the salsa. The menu is huge and has something for everyone, including a very decent vegetarian menu. We sampled veggie and meat based burritos and enchiladas - all were spot on. The veggie based ones come in a delightful cheese sauce! Chile relleno we're good, although not deep fried and slightly more firm than I'm used to. Can't wait to return soon and try more menu items. Lots of people are so happy Real has come to Girard! Plenty of seating, huge menu has something for everyone. The staff are so nice and helpful. Food was great and drinks were also great. I highly recommend going. I always have a take home box because the portions are generous. I have had the meal in the picture 3 times and it was bingo! every time. Very tasty We had a small work party here and everyone loved their food. The prices are good, the meal in the pic was $13ish without the drink. Someone got the chicken wings and said they were big and really good. Strawberry margarita is delicious. I can't say enough good things about this place. read more

. Starting off, chips were cold and very crunchy hard. Waiter seemed impatient/rushed when we asked for the Perfect Margarita (New) he said they didn't have it. So whatever margarita we were served was more like limeade. The dinner California burrito dinner had no sides, nothing. A spicy burrito on a plate. The Chile relleno cheese wasn't melted thoroughly. They were not at all busy when we arrived at 4:30 in the afternoon. We only noticed a total of six other parties seated to dine. The wait staff was very young and too busy interacting with their friends at a table celebrating, then to notice we needed service or we're looking to get a drink refill. Our food was cold, and the burrito was even icy in the middle. The cheese wasn't even melted.
