This place wasn't as good as I hoped it would have been & at $75 for breakfast for 4, this really should be a 2 star review. I got the avocado toast (pictures). The lettuce was suppose to be mixed green, the eggs were over cooked and the "balsamic reduction" tasted like it was really Italian dressing. I'm not sure we'll be back. What a hidden gem! This is my new favorite local spot for breakfast/brunch. Beautiful building, the interior was beautifully decorated for the holidays with so much whimsical charm. You can tell they put a lot of money into rebuilding after the fire several years ago. The staff was incredibly friendly, the sanitization for the booths was next level, and the food was absolutely delicious. It left me feeling full and like I made the perfect healthy choice. Their boozy beverage menu was HUMONGOUS! So many options! Coffee is bottomless and the lattes are excellent. They have hooks for coats and purses by your table AND they have iPhone outlets for charging at the booths! So much thought and care have been put into this place! 10/10 read more

Good outdoor seating setup. Servers wore masks, no noses sticking out. Felt pretty comfortable overall. Food was good. I got pancakes and my wife got a Benedict. Other than the pancakes being too big (Good thing, right?), I have no complaints. I left about 1/3 of my brunch because it was way too much. Service was great, fast and friendly. I really love the food here and the options are top notch for breakfast or brunch. The only thing is that the service can sometimes be a little slow and you can be waiting a long time with how popular the place is. That is just a testament though to how great the food is. Food is average but service is terrible waited 30 minutes before deciding to leave because the waitress forgot about us. She got our drinks right away but never came back for the food order. Had multiple others employees walk by but not one of them asked if we needed anything even though the menus were at the end of the table. Also my husband making comments about needing to order as other waitresses walked by. I had to walk up to ask to the check for our drinks and not one person said sorry or anything like I can take the order right now and rush it. For a casual neighborhood breakfast place that it says it is, it is the best place around. It is not a trendy place with yuppie food. They have fresh made food and a creative menu. You can literally roll out of bed on a Sunday and come in and get the same warm welcome from the staff as any other day. The eggs are cooked just right. My husband's omelet and my poached eggs were done nicely. The waffles look great, so I will try someday. I had the Eggs Irish and my husband had an omelet with roast beef and everything you'd find in a steak bomb. Except, they don't use Steak-ums, they made beef brisket and it was delicious! My husband and I tried this little place for the first time on Saturday. It was really cute, had a good atmosphere and looked like the perfect spot to grab a nice breakfast. I love how the names of the dishes are mostly Bird themed names! It's a cute whimsical touch! I am celiac so I asked about their GF options and was super pleased to see that they had a good variety of GF items. We had our drinks (pomegranate mimosa for me and a spicy Bloody Mary for my hubby) and then our food came out. It was delicious and cooked wonderfully. Only small issue was there was a small amount of mold on the GF bread which (if you are GF) you know has an unusually short shelf life. It really was just a small spot which they immediately removed and offered to bring fresh bread, apologizing profusely. It honestly was fine, GF bread can be weird like that......other than that, I honestly give 5 stars! It was a fun little place with music and nice seating. I recommend going here! read more

My husband and I have been going to puffins since we stumbled upon Millbury, my husband and I enjoyed this tiny little diner with excellent food for years. Then this so called "fire" rolls around. They rebuild... and then have a beautiful large restaurant with much more seating. The seating in the new establishment is repulsive. I am not able to fit in their booth seats. Ever since this occurance the food has gone extremely down hill. I am disgusted. This Place used to be a hidden gem but people of Millbury and surrounding towns quickly caught on. All around GREAT place! The chef and cooks are amazing. This is my second time at Puffins. Very happy with the food, drinks and atmosphere. We decided to sit outside and were seated in the parking lot patio. They offer plenty of outdoor seating during Covid and are able to seat inside as well. We ordered sticky bun French toast (10/10) Manzi's meatball and eggs with Italian toast and home fries, and the veggie egg white wrap. Our drinks were fall specials pomegranate mimosa and apple cider mimosa. So very happy with our choices. The staff is pleasant and food came out quick even with how busy they were. I have ordered takeout dinner at puffins Friday nights and they never disappoint! When I ask for well, they make sure it's well! I hate cutting into steaks and seeing pink. ( my preference) and everything always tastes fresh. I appreciate how they put the aluminum so my fries and veggies don't get drenched in the oil from steak- One thing that can improve is the website to order online. It can use some updates. The newly constructed Puffins is modern and beautiful yet simplistic which is refreshing when going for a relaxing meal. The new additions to their menu are absolutely delectable and packed with flavor. The staff is always very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is served all day but their afternoon menu is also great. This was our third time going to this restaurant for breakfast, hoping the experience would have been better. Unfortunately, the excessive amount of time wasted waiting for our breakfast turned into lunchtime! No apologies from anyone to any of the customers aging while waiting!! The loudness of the music, and the bar staff was ridiculously unacceptable for anyone trying to have a normal conversation. Really terrible experience. Waitress acted as if we were bothering her by asking for service. We needed another minute to decide what we wanted and the girl only came back after we spoke to the manager. Brought kids pancake out first like we asked but the waitress said it was 3 pancakes, not 1 when we ordered. We then proceeded to wait a half an hour (an hour total) for our breakfast. At one point another waitress literally brought us our check before our order had even come, obviously because we had been there forever and we looked like we were ready to leave. had breakfast Sunday 7/14. there were 7 of us. when we got our meals one meal had a giant hair weaved thru the eggs. we showed our waitress and she took the meal promising to bring another. the meal took so long that the rest of us were done when it came. the meal was toast with avocado and egg. when she took a bite of second meal the stem of avacado was bitten into. I again told our waitress and the manager came out, she was Extremely Rude. she walked over firm saying I heard you have a problem , when I explained she just walked away. After we got the bill I went back to the manager and she said the hair color didn't match their workers. Wow. Never apologized. I told her her customer service needs help. Have been a regular customer since they reopened just before Covid hit. I have never been disappointed in the quality and quantity of their food. Among their best choices are poached eggs, many different ways; mostly three egg omelets of various choices. Great freshly made inspired cocktails. During Covid they were so nice as to allow people to make an appointment and wait in their cars to be called when table was ready. Staff are all wonderful and kind. Kudos to owner Karen. read more

Had 10:30 reservation Sunday morning we were seated promptly but that's where the promptness ended. Some time went by and a gentleman came to take our coffee order, delivered the coffee no utensils or napkins so waited again. He returned to take our order all 4 of us ordered specialty cocktails. Our food arrived but no cocktail, eventually 3 cocktails arrived still missing 1. Halfway through the meal 4th arrived after asking about it multiple times. All I have to say is Caramel Pecan Waffle and homemade corned beef hash. Ok I guess I have more to say.... Very local diner where everybody knows your name. Plenty of parking and seating. Great space with very nice waitresses efficiently taking orders and refilling coffee mugs. Uniquely named omelettes. But I fell in love with the waffle selection. Belgian waffle with pecans and a caramel sauce that was sweet and succulent. Didn't need syrup. Just my appetite. Side of house made corned beef hash to round it out. Left there satiated and content. Why do so many people wait to get ok food that you have a 50/50 chance of actually getting what you ordered? The person at the door took my name and phone number and told me there was a 20-minute wait for a 2-person table. No problem. But when I came back in 20 min later to check, she called "Laura party of 2" and the person who put in a name BEHIND ME walked up. When I questioned this, she ignored me. Then, when I asked again, she looked at her scribbled list and said, "Oh, there you are and Laura is in front of you," and I pointed out that Laura was also after me. Never asked for a phone number or called the phone number for the Laura she seated. What a mess. You are lucky to get subpar service and even luckier if they get half of what you order right. Thanks to the weekend storm and the many power outages, it was a full house when we walked in. Lucky for us, a few tables opened up immediately so we didn't have to wait for a seat. We did however, have to wait a bit for menus. To be honest, service throughout our visit was a bit slow, but I will give them a pass based on the circumstances. Unlike the usual weekend crush, the were not prepared for the unusually heavy traffic on a Monday morning. The food however was great. I ordered a #4, a King Fisher, two eggs, home fries, toast, your choice of bacon, sausage or ham and either pancakes or french toast. My meal was served hot, and the was plenty of it (check out the pics, had to take two to show the whole meal). One warning for all you soda drinkers. No Coke or Pepsi here.
