Service has gone from excellent and some times above & beyond to abysmal. They are removing interesting hard to find items with huge stacks of generic ales. They were previously well known for their craft beers and large variety of different stouts, porters and Scotch ales. Not to mention the wine & spirits selection was amazing. I am now much less interested in utilizing their services so much so that even though they are walking distance to my home, I Uber or bus to Shrewsbury or utilize delivery services to get the selection & variety I want.

Then a different staff member, also with a working class accent, says "I need you to clear out of this walkway because this is for staff only", despite the fact that no staff were walking there and we had been standing there about 20-30 seconds. We left without saying anything as the hostess tried to say something to us. If you want to feel spoken down to, in the working class city of Worcester no less, come here. Alternately, if you're feeling aggressive and want to squeeze your way in to sit touching shoulder to shoulder, come here. The time before this, the hostess was a soft-spoken woman who mumbled a lot; we had to elbow people out of the way at the middle bar section, which is where she directed us. Maybe in another year I'll want to come back for lunch only. Honestly, I'd rather drive back to Boston if I'm going to be treated snobbishly.

The location is a little challenging, being as it is in the middle of an intersection and no lights directed at the parking lot itself. There is parking and the store itself isn't large, but they have a decent variety. Also the size makes it easier to get in and out quickly. My boyfriend's preferred cider is consistently found here and I enjoy the diverse selection of micro brews they carry. Neither one of us are wine drinkers, so I cannot speak for the wine selection. The employees here are always pleasant and available for questions or recommendations.

Checked beforehand on the lottery app was told my tickets were losers and the the clerk double scanned the same ticket and when asked to see tix in trash to which a ticket was secreted in trash and another $80 was slipped into the trash so if I had not checked the tix before I would have been defrauded of my legitimate winnings. When caught the clerk lied 3 tix of 4 were scanned and when the tix were re entered the $80 appeared magically. I was irate many people depend on honesty when using the lottery machine. Acting on behalf of the lottery scamming and stealing at every turn instead of honesty routinely stealing and fraudulently taking money who play the lottery hoping to spice up their own pockets with freshly stolen money that they so rightfully deserve for scanning tickets. When turning in tickets if the winning ticket is of $69 dollars or more the lottery machine will open a yes or no screen to ask the clerk if there is enough money in the till to cover the $69 dollar or more ticket. This is where the magic happens. which they press no and no noise and no indication is made. Every other ticket will make a chime or say, not a winner on the screen or say a winning amount. What will happen is nothing will apear on your screen. So your 6 ticketsbeing turned in will never not show a result when scanned.6 tickets should be easily visible whether win or loss. Also a trumpet "bummmpata bahhhh" means a win of more than $100. Good luck and pay attention use the lottery app and claim your rightful prize. These clerks are stealing on a unprecedented scale and if your not watching them like a hawk they will steal from you . Just like of they caught you stealing a chocolate bar they would call the police but its common practice to rob mass lottery players with no reprocussions. Take back the lottery and see the fraud for yourself. Its disgusting to me they think so little of lottery players that they can steal from us because we are to stupid to catch on. They have a good cheese selection as well. And they are always offering free tastes of the cheeses. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about everything in the store. If you live in the area, definitely worth stopping in. One of the finer wine shops in the area.
