Been going here for years! Low key, honest and reasonable pricing. I just went in again for a loud squeal in my breaks. Everywhere I went, including the dealership, stated that the brakes were good and they don't know what was causing it. I went there and spoke with a gentleman by the name of Martin or Sam at the counter and he was completely accommodating. I believe Ivan is the name of the owner and he's always treated me the same. These guys are rock solid, I brought my Saab 95 in for a thermostat change. They preformed the task to perfection. The engineers at Saab couldn't have located it in a more difficult spot on the car if they tried. Their service is friendly and knowledgeable, I've been to places before where I'm telling the mechanics what to do, not the case here. Rest assured if you have an issue with your ride they will fix it right, and at a reasonable price. STAY FAR FAR AWY FROM THIS PLACE!!! If I could give it zero stars I would give it zero stars but that is not an option. With mixed reviews I gave this place the benefit of the doubt, I should never have done that!!! They will lure you in with a low over the phone estimate and once there your car will suddenly have a million other things "wrong with it" that it never had broken. I had one problem completely unrelated to the radiator to begin with, nothing even remotely related to the heating and cooling system at all. As soon as I got home 10 minutes away, when they were "done" with my car, the radiator went out. They changed that I was out another $400 I picked it up I got home and once again the car overheated once again. Then they said oh it's also your thermostat and later they also wanted me to pay for a fan clutch. All of that should've been properly identified if it was even REALLY an issue but they don't have the proper equipment to properly diagnose your car so they start with the most expensive thing they could charge you and then work their way backwards. I learned my lesson the hard way and I hope that you will heed my warning and not make the same mistake that I made. STAY FAR FAR AWAY !!! Or save your money by taking it to the dealer and getting it properly diagnosed and serviced just once. I have literally have not had my car for a month now towing it back-and-forth. #YouHaveBeenWarned!!!! This place is listed as a body shop and they are definitely not a body shop they do not do any kind of bodywork whatsoever. My car broke down on the way to O'Hare Airport on 294 at the Gulf St. We blindly chose a nearby repair shop from Google. It was a complete blessing! Ivan stayed late to receive my car and assured us we were in good hands as we got in the Uber to barely make our flight. We called the next day and he told us it was a simple repair. He did a complete review of my engine and also found a small oil leak saving us further repairs. In a world of people looking out for themselves and trying to nickel and dime us, these people are honest and trustworthy. I wish we lived closer, we would use Puldin's for all our car repair needs. We've been going here for many years now. We stumble at this shop after going to Sears and charging us almost $600.00 for repair. Mr. Ivan Puldin charged us $200.00 only for the same service. They charged LOW compared to others. We are always satisfied with their service. Their mechanics are very good as well. Every time we have car trouble we always go here. I remember one time, i had a flat tired which happens to be near Puldin's shop. So i went in for some help. I was not aware that they don't do tires. However, they changed the flat one with my temporary spare and told me to go to a tire store to get a new one. I ended up going to Walmart for that. It was really nice of them to help me even though they could have said NO. So, Ivan, thank you for always helping us and charging us LOW. Prices are on the lower end, which is nice indeed. But trustworthiness can be an issue with this shop. A guy who bought my junked car called me up to tell me that the timing belt on it was extremely worn, not the shiny new belt that Puldin said they were putting on just a couple of years prior. This shop's ok for basic jobs like oil, axle, suspension, brakes, etc - sure. It's not a bad shop and they do honor their warranties (begrudgingly, though). But for anything inch-deep with engine work, I wouldn't recommend - too risky. Might come out ok, or might not. read more

Great service and prices! I had timing belt and water pump replaced for half of what the Honda dealer quoted. Not just that but the car drives noticeably better. They've been really helpful to me in the past too. I had the passenger window stuck open once just as a huge storm was approaching. While other body shops didn't even bother to look at it and told me to leave the car overnight or turned me away, Puldin waited for me after the closing hour and closed my window so at least the car wouldn't flood until it was permanently fixed. I"ve been going there for years. Me and my daughter both. Everything was Great until the past couple times. I went there because my service engine light came on (mind you, a couple times) They turn the light off and tell you it's ok for now. But if the light comes back on, come back and we'll check it again. So I went there today for the same problem, but I am having car problems besides the light just coming on. Now I do a lot of traveling to my jobs and I need my car. Well the mechanic tells me to get a new car. HAHA NOT FUNNY!! I can't afford a new one. He said it's reading 8 different codes and it would run me some money. He erases the light and all the codes so now I don't even know what they were. And tells me to come back right away and they'll look at it. I just don't understand it, if you don't wanna work on my car just tell me. I thought it was illegal to erase the codes without fixing the problem first. So now I don't know what to do. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! read more
