    A wonderful secret to get a new tire before It goes flat…read more Turns out the tire was 8 y/o and news one was needed. Everyone is wonderful and I felt I could trust them to not rip me off. I asked for a battery check while checking on my low tire..and came back that battery was ok. But maybe an alternator was needed if other issues we draining the battery. When I came back to get my tire I asked them to remove a charger I had in my car interior and turns out this might have been the culprit draining the battery. So all in, a new tire installed $100 at the beginning of cold stretch.

Obviously I left, went down the street to JUST TIRES where I was accommodated in 10mins!!! I did contact Cassidy headquarters, advised of the situation. They said they'd handle it, but we all know how that goes! I'm sure the guy still has his job and just got a slap on the wrist ! If he'd worked for me...I'd have fired him on the spot!! That's a customer service business, and that, in no way, was customer service !!

Considering my car is 10 years old and that I've been putting off some of the services for a while, I decided that it was time to get those done; however I didn't like the price that I was getting from this place or the other Mazda service centers I called. I figured I'd give a local shop a try and I'm extremely glad I did! From the very first call I was already feeling good about these guys. Lee picked up the phone pretty quickly; I asked if I could email the list of services to them and get their quotes, and he said no problem and gave me their email. He also answered a few other questions I had and kept everything effortless and professional. After I emailed them I got a quick reply from Brian who also answered my questions and provided the quotes, which were much more reasonable! It was very easy to make an appointment for my car, and even when I had to reschedule there was no trouble doing so. I dropped my car off in the morning and met both Lee and Brian who were both very friendly and personable. Their waiting room is comfortable with a TV, a fridge with water, and even some toys to keep kids occupied while you wait. Since I was leaving my car for the day I brought my Onewheel electric skateboard, which Lee saw, and he showed me his e-bike and we talked a bit about PEVs (personal electric vehicles) before I rode my Onewheel back home. My car was ready for pickup by the end of the day as they said it would be, and it's been running great ever since! I also recently got an oil change there and it was probably the fastest one I've experienced from giving them the keys to getting them back (no more than 45 minutes, compared to the dealership service center where I've waited ~90 minutes on average). Everything has been uncomplicated with no surprises so far! Aside from the quick and straightforward work that they do, I also appreciate that they have a rewards program that helps you save money on future services. They are also regular sponsors of local events and are a big part of the community. It feels much better bringing my car to a local shop that supports and gives back to the community rather than going to a dealership that doesn't really do that. I'll definitely be returning here again!

    Dwayne and the Crew are OUTSTANDING!…read more No BS, and an Experienced Team! They fixed my Lexus, which was screwed up by the incompetence of Cars of America down the street. I did not approve of repairs to my car, but they insisted on "fixing my car" The Mechanic Brendon...was heard as being High and Hungover while he worked on my car. I insisted that the team to STOP touching my car due to the unprofessional manner by the mechanic. They refused and kept going....it was HORRIBLE. I was angered and upset that someone was willing to HURT my Car. I eventually got them to stop. They bolted my lower ball joint backwards, and shoved my car to the lot. I had it transported to Clavey down the street on Chestnut. The Professionals at Clavey assessed that they broke my Wheel Bearing and Hub. They also broke my lower ball joint and damaged my brake system. The crew found multiple issues on my car due to the lack of experience by the Cars of America staff. They will tell you what needs to be done (from a safety standpoint) to what could be done (fixing minor things that don't impact the daily operation of the vehicle). There are no upsells; no pressure to do things that don't really need to be done; etc. I trust them completely with our cars. Now my son and his girlfriend take their cars to Clavey. :-) I highly recommend them.

    Terrible service. My regular mechanic is in Philadelphia where I live normally, I came home to…read moreGlenview due to corona. I love my regular guy back in Philly and he had let me know last time I went in I needed to get the brakes replaced soon, when I asked for a quote he said it would be about $200. I'll be driving back to Philly and need to get that taken care of before that long drive. Before I even brought my car in to Hillerichs I explained what work I needed done and asked for a quote which they would not provide for me. Red flag number one. I scheduled a time to bring my car in for the brake replacement and oil change. A few hours later they called me with a laundry list of other "issues" I should get fixed, none of which my regular mechanic had brought up. Red flag number two. They then told me that it was going to cost $450 to replace just my front brake pads plus an extra $200 to clean some rust off the back brake pads (the were elusive and not helpful in teaching me when I asked for an explanation of the danger of this rust). A simple search on groupon reveals that there are a myriad of other mechanics within a 30 mile radius that will replace front brakes for around $200. Red flag number three. I literally laughed and told them no way. I asked how much the oil change would be ($40) and then they asked ME what oil my car uses. Maybe I should be a more informed car owner but surely the mechanic should know what kind of oil to use. After all this it took them a full day to perform the oil change. When I did go to pick up my car I was hit with a $40 "inspection fee". On the very bill they handed with me, they wrote "customer says brake pads are worn down and also needs oil change." In the "inspection notes" they wrote (not exact quote) "brake pads are worn down, rear brake oads are rusted, oil change needs to be done." So they charged me $40 for me to tell them what was wrong with my car. Huge waste, will not be returning.
