I purposefully arrived 20 minutes prior to my appointment, as I wanted to fill out my registration forms early; so that my appointment ran on time. I have now been here for 3 hours - the place is almost closing (in 30 min). Once I completed my forms, I took them to the receptionist. After handing my clipboard to her, she left my PHI (protected health information) out for the other patients behind me to see. I watched 15 minutes go by, and several patients come through (exposing all my personal health information) without the receptionist making a move. This is a HUGE issue...Another medical assistant came up to me while I was seated in the lobby and verbally asked me about my health history. If you work in healthcare, you know that this is a big no no. You don't risk violating rules under HIPPA!! The lobby is packed with--I'm not even exaggerating--close to 25 patients or more. When I asked the receptionist about my appointment status. She said that: they have only two doctors currently working. If you work in billing or administration, you know that this is a sign of a greedy doctor. If you know that you only have two providers to see patients, then you shouldn't stack up back to back appointments for the provider. You notify the patient that you have no appointments available. That means the only thing the doctor or the office manager care about is the $ from the insurance carriers, because you can't schedule 5+ patients for the same hour! It's so unprofessional and makes no sense. It's not adequate attention to the patient's care... The doctor is very friendly, and has good bedside manners. But that doesn't negate the horrible experience I am having. If you don't have the bandwidth, then you shouldn't be scheduling all these patients. Major disappointment!

I went into the office understanding the screening process, and social distancing measures (that weren't in place). We went in for some diagnostic testing after dealing with an acute hearing issue and infection and waited over 2 hours to seen by the doctor. We had a 9:30 am appointment (arrived early for check-in) and as of 11:47 am we had not been seen. Wait, correction-- about an hour in, someone called to take our copay payment, and we had to wait yet another hour before heading to window to ask about the delay. At this point, I had been more than patient, after working a 12 hour shift the night prior. This would have been more bearable if the front desk staff wasn't insufferably rude the first time (and only) time I returned to the window to inquire about the wait time, and the poor patients scattered in the waiting rooms halls being crammed like sardines. Many of them needed assistive devices and were standing because there weren't enough chairs in the lobby, or in the hallway where they had a makeshift overflow. Even giving up my seat did nothing to relieve the several others that were standing around waiting to be seen. The chairs that were there clearly weren't being sanitized at any point and hand sanitizer was no where to be seen for such a high traffic area. The bathroom key (should you need it) is handed off from person to person without being wiped down, basically rendering the whole point of hand hygiene pointless (not like anyone could sanitize in between, remember?). All in all, I would avoid this office in the middle of a pandemic like this one if you truly value your health and don't have an emergent ENT issue. And even then, I would recommend you make your way to a reputable hospital emergency room where your chances of contamination are probably way lower. The only redeeming factor was the joy of a medical assistant named Diana who was the only one who seemed to have a wonderful bedside manner. She took us in to an exam room around noon. I may update the review after seeing the actual physician, but nothing is more powerful than a first impression. Good luck, and be safe out there. -Tatiana
