The party was not what we imagined. The heat wasn't on. The music wasn't playing. There were only 2 staff members running multiple parties. One of the staff members had her own young child at work. A party guest was injured on a slide and no one could find staff. But the reason for the rating was because a staff member said something to my young daughter as she was waiting to come into the birthday party room which made her cry. She was so upset she left her own birthday party, missing the pizza, cake, and presents. The same staff member promised a refund. We spoke with management. This was never resolved. We had been to numerous parties at Pump it Up and they were nothing like the party we received. Absolutely do not recommend. read more

I feel like I need to burn my kids socks after coming here. I had to keep myself from gagging after pulling off the third bandaid that got stuck to my kids foot. I'm sorry, but when was the last time this place got cleaned? The floors are disgusting and there is legit trash in the bounce houses. I really wanted to like this place, especially since it's a great way to wear out my toddlers on rainy days. But man, I will not come back... unless I want my kids to get the plague. I will also attach a picture of a ledge separating the bounce houses to the baby play area. Paint it literally chipping off this ledge everywhere onto the floor and bang toys. How is this safe? Brought my daughter here for a neighbor kid's birthday party, didn't learn until we arrived that they don't serve alcohol of any kind, not even beer or wine. The fact that there isn't even a single mention of this on their website is a major oversight. Also it was pretty loud. Only giving 2 stars because the kids seemed to have a good time. read more

I organized my daughter's birthday party on 20th January 2023, we took a package of classic 25 kids, we were very ¹excited about it, but to our disappointment most of the inflatables were not in proper condition, they didn't even guided us to buy the grip socks from the counter, they charged us with $250 fine as we removed socks to enjoy the inflatables. We didn't wanted to spoil our party guests mood so we paid the fine, but a day after my husband and a friend went there to request and scraping off $250 fine they heard us out and said they will call us back and consider till date they didn't. Terrible customer service. They refuse to budge on their whole nonrefundable deposit even though our party got cancelled because of covid restrictions and not by us. I get nonrefundable deposits are important because if someone cancels then the business loses business and then can't find someone to take their place, but that's not the situation we have here. We even tried getting the $100 as a gift card so we could come and just have pizza or whatever but they wouldn't do that. They just said they'd keep the money for 2 years toward another deposit. You can keep the $100, you won't be getting any more money from us, and we'll definitely be spreading the word to our friends and family. read more

We've come here a couple times just my son and I and he loves it here. It's super fun for him! So I planned his party here and I was just anxious the whole time. We were told to arrive 15-20 minutes early to set up for our 4:20 party. So we get there at 3:55 and are in the waiting room until 4:20... I didn't want to stress the lady out so I didn't bother asking what the wait was for until 4:20 and she brushes me off and said everything's handled. The jumping part was fun but every time id ask if the room was ready to decorate she'd just say "No" and walk away. Then when it's time to eat me and my son (the birthday boy) walk in the room and she unkindly shooed us out and said he had to be the last to enter. Anytime I'd ask a question about anything she would just laugh and not answer. I'm a schedule person I'd like to know what's going on. The whole (short) time we were eating it just felt so rushed and I'm a polite person, every time I saw her I'd say thank you for this and that and she's just half smile. I had a plate full of food and got up for one second to check on my sons table and come back and she'd thrown my whole plate out. She just seemed annoyed to be there which wasn't really appealing. None of the staff seemed like they wanted to be there. Then at the end when it's time to pay and I have to write the gratuity amount she's just standing right in front of me watching. Who does that, it made me uncomfortable and I felt obligated to tip more than I thought necessary. I've never been there and honestly we will not go back because of how rude the employees were. All things aside....you pay a lot of money to have a party here. This is fine as you know what you are getting into before you get into it! BUT, what really got me was the $5 for inflating each balloon. We had no idea that this was the cost and they didn't inform us. Upon leaving we received the bill with $100 for ballon inflation! Someone should have informed us FIRST as I wouldn't have inflated 20 balloons for $100. They also almost dropped the cake and ruined the side of it. I let that go because that kind of stuff happens. They NEVER answer the phone or return phone calls. I had booked for pictures at my son's party and nothing was explained to me at all. Apparently they only take pictures in one room and the kid taking pictures was playing basketball half the time and lazily holding his hand out snapping pics without looking. I didn't know they quit taking pictures when you go to the party room so I had no pics of the blowing out the candles etc. When I complained I was told I could have the pics but they wouldn't charge me. Then I was never given a code for the pictures so I didn't get ANY at all. I have called, emailed, and even went there in person over the last 2 months trying to get the pictures and they NEVER call back or answer emails. When I went there they took my number and said someone would call and that was 3 weeks ago. Still no response to calls or emails. When I went there 3 weeks ago for another kid's party they claim to clean between parties, but there were dirty used masks still in the room and a group of us got the stomach flu within 2 days of being there. Can't be certain it had anything to with them or not, but it's pretty coincidental. read more

I was very disappointed in my experience at Pump it up for my daughter's birthday party. My party host was horrible. There were not enough plates and juice boxes for my kid guests. The host could not find the additional pizzas I ordered. She left us unattended to find the missing pizzas so guests were left helping to serve the kids their pizza and peeling pepperoni off pizza since our cheese pizzas couldn't be located. They couldn't find a candle for the birthday girl's cupcake. I had to ask for plates and napkins for the adult guests. I had to ask for the host to record the gifts. A garbage can was not accessible for wrapping paper and tissue paper. I felt stressed out and embarrassed. I chose this venue for a stress free experience. The staff lacked customer service skills and the energy you'd expect for a kid's birthday party. The experience they provided ruined my daughter's birthday for me. I have multiple children and have hosted many parties and play dates at Pump it up over the years. I've also attended many parties here. It's always been a great experience in the past. I know what they are capable of and had reasonable expectations going into this party. I'm beyond disappointed with our experience and the way Pump It Up handled my complaints on the service I received. read more

Except for having to wait in the beginning to get things going, this pace was great! We first went into a room with a bunch of different bouncy houses for a half-hour. Then we moved into a second room with other toys and face painting and bouncy houses for another half hour. Then we went into the party room for dinner and singing happy birthday and gifts. The carts the have the shoes, jackets and gifts are all on wheels so the employees just push them from room to room, very convenient. In all we were there for two hours. Great! Pretty decent. My family used to go to the location in our home state and were excited to see this so close to our new home. No attendants in the rooms during free play, which would have been helpful when the other group of adults who brought their kids came in. The other adults completely dominated the play areas. First things first - the place is fun. There. That's out of the way. Here's what's *NOT* fun: 1) I was taking my 6 year old son, my nephew, my girlfriend and her 3 kids to celebrate my son turning 6. We reserved spots online for seven people. It's VERY vague on what's needed. It simply says "add jumper". My girlfriend and I both planned on jumping with the kids, so, we added our names to the list. It asks for a name & a birthday. We arrived about 20 minutes early (we had a 5:40 reservation) and were told that things were behind and we wouldn't even get to jump until closer to 6PM.. That's ok - I get it. 2) I was told that "adults are included and don't actually have to pay". The problem here is that I added both myself and my girlfriend (both adults) to the jumpers list... and we got charged. The problem here is.. why does the website ask specifically for a "birthday" and when I input both of our birthdays (obviously both over the age of 18) did we THEN get charged if adults are free? When I asked the manager what could be done about it.. I was told.. "there's nothing we can do about that unfortunately..." (I guess they've never heard of voiding a sale and re-doing it there at the point of sale?) So..essentially I just gave this company $22 for free. 3) When we arrived I hung my sons coat on the only available coat rack which was right next to the registers. When we left - his coat was missing. They had zero idea where it went. 4) I was unable to bring in my sons birthday cake that I purchased for him to enjoy with the rest of the family. Ok - fine - just.. maybe put that on the website so that I don't have a cake needing to be refrigerated sitting out in my car going to waste. 5) Pizza is included in the price of admission. I was told that each child gets "2 slices of pizza and a drink." Awesome! After we get done bouncing and playing, the pizza is handed out. I get told that, "unfortunately we didn't have enough pizza to give every kid 2 slices." What? So..you're telling me that we've already OVERPAID for TWO EXTRA people who weren't supposed to have even been included in the pizza numbers.. and then, on top of overpaying you're short on the amount of food that we're supposed to be getting? This is unacceptable. In the end - it was the most unprofessionally run business that I've been into in a very long time. I was given free passes for the "inconvenience", and, to be honest - I highly doubt that I would go back. It's almost 90 minutes out of the way for me and we went to make memories. Unfortunately for "Pump It Up", we did make memories... they just weren't good ones. read more

Let me start by saying the kids LOVE this place. But they run a lousy business. Despite making all the preparations in advance and trying repeatedly to confirm them, I still had to go they the entire process of ordering again once we arrived. The play rooms were great but then when we got to the food room they went way beyond efficient and rushed us out the door. The coordinator had my daughter start opening gifts before telling me. It was just a little weird. They then ran our card SEVEN times. Not twice or three times. But SEVEN! On our debit card. That left a headache with our bank that we got to spend the rest of the evening dealing with. This place - under proper management and with a better business manager - could be amazing. Today is the third time my husband and I took our 2 year-old son to open bounce. We brought our neighbors aged 3 and 2 as well. Pump it up is very clean and all the equipment is in good working condition. Open bounce begins in one room and ends in another. Our preference is for the first room with the large slide and obstacle bounce. I understand the change of rooms but the second room doesn't hold the toddlers excitement as well. There is a lot of open room for them to run but there really isn't enough to keep kids occupied for the whole 25 minutes. Also, there is very sparse monitoring by the staff unlike what they tell you in the introductory video, which we viewed for the first time today. There is very little activities in the area that are toddler-friendly and i appreciate the convenience of Pump it Up. read more

Took my son here on an open play under 5 type thing one morning. He had a blast of course. There's a lot for a 4 year old to choose from & he was running around having fun. But - it's pretty dark in there and really, realllllly needs a vacuum!! I saw while sitting on the floor how dirty it was and then noticed clumps of hair and dust, etc. in the corners of a few of the bounce houses. I'm not expecting a place like this to be sparkling and germ free but it seriously looked like it hadn't been cleaned or sanitized in way too long. I had my son's 6th birthday party at Pump It Up. This is the first party we've had outside of the house and my son was really excited. We were all pleasantly suprised at everything Pump It Up had to offer. They have a big selection of food you can purchase for your party but they also allow you to bring in select items such as dry packaged goods, veggie tray, and bottled water. The food package prices for kids are very reasonable and the pizza is purchased from Cottage Inn (yummy!!). The other thing I was really pleased about was the service. The employees are around college age and they were all wonderful. You have a dedicated staff member with your party the entire time and they are friendly, energetic, and they take care of everything! They provide all the paper utensils for the party but I brought in my own robot themed plates and napkins. They serve the kids their food, cut the cake, help the birthday boy open his gifts, write down all the gifts, and do all the clean up. As the mom it was great for me to be able to sit back and enjoy the party! I would highly recommend the Auburn Hills Pump It Up location for a birthday party. All of the kids had a great time and the parents complimented how well organized the party was. read more

This place is super horrible at updating the event calendar ... So about 2-3 times a month I will take my kid to open jump and it's really cancelled due to a party. On the other hand the staff is super nice and helpful. When they make mistakes like not updating the event calendar... They do whatever they can to make the situation better. read more

I had my son's 5th birthday party there. There are so many things that were disappointing I can't even list them all. I will NEVER go back. They "accidentally" threw out party decorations that were supposed to go to the kids. An employee decided to sit and eat at my tables that were set up when the kids were in the bounce room and I had come in to check on the set up. She looked at me and goes "I'm off the clock" I don't care it isn't sanitary, I would assume everything should be clean for the kids and my plates were already set out. Then when my son was opening his presents another employee asked if she could make the list of who gave what. I said yes. Then as I was trying to help my son open his presents she kept taking them and "starting" them for him. He is 5 he knows how to rip paper open. I asked her to stop and back off and it didn't help. She actually took a card from my hands to read it to my son. Ummm thanks I am having a moment with my son, I am the one who gave birth not you. I was so upset and near tears by the time we left. The manager just said "Sorry". I also had to have them correct the bill twice because they charged me for things the forgot to provide. read more

it is a fun place for kids to play at. However, our experience at the birthday party was terrible. Huge disappointment! When we got to the party room, we felt like we were rushed out. The stuff kept serving the kids one thing after another. it looked so silly. Cookies then veggies. the "party coordinator" was yelling from top of her lungs. Then they served the cake and started cleaning up. it felt like they wanted us out so fast. Guests started leaving. We were out of there 20 minutes before our party was done. The arena were both great, the staff that helped was good but the room for cake and food was very slow and nor organized, i was helping to speed things up. i was extremely disappointed with the food. I had ordered 4 3 foot long subs 2 came normal and the other two came as actual subs cut up and we had to Put them in trays when that should have already been done on its own. I was missing a salad and on top of that the salad i did get was absolutely disgusting. Would the owner himself eat old nasty lettuce? I don't think so. I was missing a 2 liter of coke and on top of all this ai asked for both salads to be taken off my bill and the owner said he cannot do it because they didn't provide the food! Well i laid you for the food not your third party! Its easy to say no to a client when your talking behind the phone is is easy to say no then being there to witness what a disaster the food room was. I will never do a birthday at Pump it Up again nor will i ever recommend it to anyone. Instead of taming if those disgusting salads ofd my bill they gave me a free jump which i will NEVER use. Besides the owner the staff was great and they apologized for everything numerous times. But as the owner you are responsible for what happened not the third party you go through. I had my son's 4th birthday here, and I was not impressed. The jumping was great, and the kids had a blast, but the staff was awful. The hosts were very bossy, especially with the birthday boy. He was upset when they told him he had to wait outside while everyone else got to go in the cake room first and when he had to line up for everything (changing rooms, starting, pictures, cake). It was his birthday, he should have been the boss. Also, I was extremely uncomfortable that the host tried to take him in a room alone to put a birthday crown on him. He's 4!! My husband flat out refused to leave his side, and the host argued with him about it. Very inappropriate with a child that age. Also, I said that I didn't want the picture package and was pretty upset that pictures were taken without my consent. To top it off, the host told me that all of the kids had to eat the pizza (that I paid for!!) first, and then adults could have it "only if some is left." And then made me point out the kids with allergies in front of everyone. Inappropriate and embarassing. My son had a blast, but I left feeling pretty awful. read more
