I really didn't want to write this review, but I need to vent. I normally love this place, but our experience tonight was just not very good. My first guess is that they are under staffed, but I'm not sure. Service was terrible. I felt like I was constantly searching for our host for my daughter's party. So I read on another review that high schoolers work here. I don't like to judge based on their age because I know some pretty amazing high schoolers. So maybe it's high schoolers that don't know their job very well. Communication was poor. We didn't have enough plates (even though they know exactly how many people are in our party). They gave us the wrong favors, even though we ordered them on the spot. And my biggest complaint is they forgot to show the slide show of photos they supposedly take. Although our host was rarely present so how was he even able to take pictures?! Ugh it was very frustrating. And I was doing all of the "hosting" running around trying to keep our guests happy. I'm wondering exactly what the hosts are "supposed" to be doing. Next time I'll just throw the party at my house. It's just as stressful, but much cheaper! read more

We came here for free-play one Friday. It was great for getting my son's energy out. However, we happen to have gone to the Milpitas location recently, so I can tell you that this location has much more worn-out inflatables. I can tell that they tried to mend the slides, etc as much as possible, but you can feel air busting out everywhere. That's not the annoying part though. The annoying part is that the worn out slides are not well inflated. So when I got to the top of one slide with my son, I almost slid off accidentally b/c a few boys went down and since it's not well pumped up, the ledge at the top dipped and I barely hung on. My son went down first b/c I couldn't get to him before he decided to go down himself, but thankfully there was no collision at the bottom. Adults also slid well past the barrier at the bottom since it was about half inflated. Overall it was all still safe, but I'd say they'll need to swap out some inflatables soon. My son also really enjoyed the Motion Manic (?) It was projection from above of games onto a white carpet below. It was great, except with the bright lights it was hard to see much. He still had fun regardless. We'll come for parties or if someone else sets up play dates here, but I won't be going out of my way to take him here for free play if it's just ourselves. read more

I took my kid for a birthday party. The staff are young and energetic, and quite engaged with the kids. It's great fun for little kids. Lots of bouncing, jumping, and air hockey. The only meh was the birthday kid throne. The birthday girl looked so lonely all by herself. It needs to be pulled closer to the other kids. Parking is easy. It's a great place. read more

My son has been wanting to go to pump it up for his birthday and that was his only wish so I took my three children there yesterday and it was the best idea to take them there! They had such a blast in each room and oddly 35mins in each room was just enough. I thought it would have been too short of a time for them but they got to play a total of 70mins. It was nice since my 3 children play well together so they made the best out of their time there. Teresa was amazing, she was so kind, caring, and so attentive she really made our trip totally worth it! She gave my children extra attention and care which I really appreciated! She really is a beautiful person to be around and this review is especially for her, he made an incredible impact on me and my children, so thank you so much Teresa for your extra care! My kids and I give this place double thumbs up !! It was especially nice because it was only 3 families in the rooms so our kids had plenty of space to play and be goofy!! read more

So I decided to bring my kids to open jump today. It was nothing short of amazing. My son is 10 and he really enjoyed the facilities and utilizing all of the inflatables. My daughter is only 17 months and after noticing that she was interested in jumping, someone from management actually had us fill out a waiver (insurance purposes yes) but I was just more excited that she could jump! She's never done a jumpy house yet so this was so thrilling for her. Of course she couldn't do much but she had the time of her life. I was also very impressed with the gentlemen who helped us because I believe he too brought some of his own family to enjoy family jump. This really stood out to me because there aren't many places these days where we can go without incident or children witnessing certain interactions not really for them. I was happy that he felt the establishment was safe and fit for his own family so I definitely felt safe bringing mines. There was about 3 groups present during our jump time and all of the children were so engaged and having so much fun it was literally 70 minutes of laughter and lots of movement. The staff was very sweet and friendly with the kids and very consistent with getting us where we should be. I would recommend families take advantage of having a facility like this still available in 2023. With everything being so scary, this is a place to relax and have fun. The kids will love it and the adults can sit back and chill :) I will be bringing my son and all of his fourth grade friends back. I truly appreciate the time for the day that had been set for our Saturday since visiting Pump It Up Pleasanton. read more

Attended a kid's birthday part at this location. Very pleasantly surprised at the outstanding cleanliness of the entire venue - from the reception to the play area to the party area to the restrooms. And the staff was exceptionally courteous, helpful and friendly. Young teenagers always available to answer questions, take photographs, help out. We had a birthday party there this weekend and they did such a fabulous job being our birthday concierge. Everything was well communicated, and the flow of the party was amazing. Our party attendants were Brandon and Emma and they did a great job facilitating the room transitions, taking the pics, helping kids with the climbing walls, and kept up with all the active 5 year olds. Julia, our party coordinator was super organized and set up the room perfectly and even poured out the chips and placed the bag under the bowl so guests can verify if they have allergies. That was mighty thoughtful. Thank you for making it easy peasy fun for us to host a party and taking care of all the finer details so that all the adults at the party could be a kid again and enjoy the facility. We had a party here over the weekend. The staff were great with the kids and helpful and friendly to adults. If you are attending a party here be on time, you will be left behind if you don't. You play in one room then after that you love to a second play room. When done there it's off to the party room for pizza and cake. The staff are good at moving things along and making the party easy on those hosting it. First room has a lot of bouncy and jumpy type blow up play structures. The second room has this plus a huge slide, wind tunnel (bring dollars or quarters), rock wall, small dance area and other things for the kids to enjoy. Only thing they may want to consider is having a second or even third staff help out for a few minutes during pizza and cake time. Not the whole time in this room, just when giving out the food. I've been to so many parties here, and if it's just the one worker doing it, it takes forever and kids get impatient. I always end up helping to move throngs along. read more

My son had his 6th birthday party here. I was really impressed with the staff - they were engaging and enthusiastic. The kids had a blast in the 2 playrooms (inflatables, baby cars, rock climbing, tornado machine, air hockey), and then we moved onto the party room. My son loved the kid throne, it really made him feel special. They made sure the kids had pizza, drinks, cake. Our party favors were placed on a cart by the door. And all the party leftover and presents were neatly put away on a cart for us. I didn't have to do anything! I purchased the photo package. The photos were nice, though I wish they took more candid shots and pictures in the party room also. Overall, we were very happy with the service and all the kids slept well that night! read more

My 3yo loves this place and TBH so do I! Why? Because my local moms group will come here for a play date and we can actually sit and chat while the kid's run around and burn off some serious toddler energy (FYI-energy levels are close to nuclear at this age). There's a hostess that plays with them and supervises to make sure they take turns on jumping and helps them with the rock wall. And when they're done, they get to go in a party room and enjoy some ice cream (at least on Wednesday's when they have the ice cream jump). All this for $14, and only $10 if you get their pass and follow them on FB. Even the party packages looked fairly reasonable (especially compared to some of the other kid spots in the area). My son is a January baby, so we will definitely be considering this place for his next birthday. read more

Please TIP THESE KIDS! I have read a lot of reviews and it seems that people think tipping is not necessary due to cost. The high school kids who work here are not paid very much as an hourly job and don't work very many hours so when they do go all out to provide fun and safety to your kids Please TIP THEM! Also acknowledge them as they receive bonuses (albeit small ones $) for the employees who receive the most compliment cards. These kids work hard and spend hours scrubbing down those inflatables and trying to provide a fun and safe experience to your children. read more

So after having an issue last month and having it cleared up with the owner we again have the same issue. It took 5 calls from the owner the first time to get things squared away. I'm just not doing it again. As much as my son loves Pump It Up, I hate it! I feel like this location has a shady practice. To my knowledge children under 2 are free, but the employee's decided when they want to practice this and then are rude when the moms say the kids are younger. They are told "Well, you still need to pay!" So after talking to the owner of this location he asked that I call when coming in as a group. I guess if you come individually and are under 2 they will charge you. (They need to have a policy in place and go by it. Have it posted to patrons know what to expect.) Now to this morning: I called 2 hours before my group was to arrive. Plenty of time to call and let those working know. I guess everyone was to wait for the whole group to arrive before entering the building because the girl didn't believe one member. We will call her member "A". "A" left and called me. I called the owner and asked him to get it figured out. "A" decided to go in and pay anyways because her daughter was upset. She paid then was later given a pass to come back for free. Great "A's" daughter turns 2 in a few months and they might be back. Member "B's" dad was charged and the little girl is totally under 2 (15 months). He paid and was then given a free card a minute later. This is not what was discussed. They should have just handed him his cash back. Per their policy she wont have to pay for a while. The pass doesn't do them any good, plus the mom said she will never be back due to how they were treated. Now I'm getting calls from parents that are upset. Looks like I'll be buying my own bounce house and slide so I don't have to go back. Heck it may save us money in the long run! read more

We're so happy and floored with how organized and easy it was to book my son's 5th birthday party here. The entire staff was friendly, energetic, and really organized. We had about 40 people including kids of varying ages and there was something for everyone. The slides and combination jumpers are big enough for parents; teens and parents enjoyed trying to tackle the climbing wall. It was neat to get to change rooms in the middle of the party so the kids felt like they had a whole other place to explore for the second half. All catering comes through Garlex Pizza in Pleasanton. We did several pizzas and large salads. Food was decent, albiet a little expensive, and drinks have to come through Garlex as well - but no choice cause they don't allow any other caterers. My son felt super special when it came time to sing him "Happy Birthday." The coordinator, Kevin (I think) sat him in a giant inflated thrown, put a crown on his head, and coordinated everyone to sing. He LOVED it and felt so important! Only writing a review on the POP IN PLAY TIMES It is only $8 for me to take my son for 2 hours. He is able to run between the 2 large rooms and play on the slides and jumper's. It's a great way to wear him out before nap. The slides at this pump it up VS the Concord one is not even comparable! Pleasanton slides are FAST and FUN!!!!! This place is so much fun! Came here for a child's birthday party and expected to sit and watch the kids play like usual but oh no... WE GOT TO PLAY TOO! Best party ever!!! Everyone had tons of fun! The parties are private so it's just you and your guests having fun together! There's Basketball, Gladiator Ring, Obstacle Course, Huge Slide and more! Highly recommend this place for all parties! I came her for my niece's 5th birthday. I didn't realize how tiring it is to be jumping around. I'm not sure if I was the culprit in making a few of my niece's friends cry but 165 lbs into an inflatable will probably knock a couple of 25 lb kids on their butt, hence a face plant here and there. The establishment is clean, the staff friendly and they require socks if you're jumping otherwise they charge $2/pair. The party room was comfy and cozy, i think we had about 40 kids and adults. You can only bring chips and drinks I believe and wherever they get their pizza and buffalo wings from are quite delicious. Wear a white shirt because you'll be jumping in the dark w/ the black lights. Reminded me of my good ol' rave days, lol. read more

Came here to celebrate my sons 2nd birthday. We were a little hesitant at first because of the price. But we figured we are about to have another baby, and this will be my sons last birthday as an only child (since our children will be 3 days apart). We had such a great time! When we pulled up one of the workers greeted us by coming outside with a rolling cart to help us load the cake, water, and party bags. When we walked in there was a Happy Birthday sign for my son, and all the staff in the front greeted us with a smile and a big hello. Then two of the employees who were going to be taking care of the party pulled me to the side to explain everything to me they were very friendly young kids. We started out in the first room and the kids were having a blast, then the second room was an even bigger hit! The laughter and smiles coming from the kids was absolutely priceless where we suddenly forgot about the cost of the party. After we were done with both play rooms we moved to the last area for pizza and cake. The staff was very helpful and friendly. My only complaint was that we weren't able to open my sons birthday presents there. So people couldn't see him open what they got for him. All and all we had a great time and would come back again. And the good news it completely tires your kids out and makes for a good nights sleep =). read more

I'm impressed about this location. It is fairly clean and very well organized. We hosted our boys party this past Saturday. From booking the package online and customizing the menu over the phone, it was very easy and the staff always has been very friendly. Compared to last time when we hosted out party now you are allowed to bring your own water bottles, chips, cookies and of course your birthday cake. They bring the water bottles in carts to each room and your guests don't have to buy drinks or drink out of the water fountain ;-) I decided not go with a theme which Im actually glad I did... As there NO MUSIC played during our party. Usually the play music in the background based on the theme you chose to match with the games they play. I just decided to go with bubbles which was a huge hit and they had so much fun. It also gave us (adults) the chance to have a conversation while the children were busy playing and they were also very well entertained by our party hosts. The food was actually not too bad. We ordered couple of their appetizer and veggie platter for the adults and they were actually all happy with it and said it was not bad for a kids place. Happy and tired children, happy parents who also had a good time catching up and everyone left with a full belly! I didn't have to clean up anything. I was happy that I didn't have to set up or clean up anything. Other than putting the stuff for the party out of the car and later back into the car. read more

We hosted our daughters 3 year birthday party two weeks ago. Prior to booking the event, we went for a visit with our daughter and a representative took us for a quick tour. The way it's set up is, you have 40 min. in the first play room, which has plenty of fun slides, bouncy houses and inflated climbing equipment. Moving on, the next room is more of the same except the slide is much bigger, and gave my tummy a tickle when I went down (during our actual party, not during the tour). Very fast and fun! The staff was there to provide guidance and let our parents relax while the kiddos got there sugar rush on. After 40 minutes of play in the new room, you exit and go to the "party room" where you eat and have cake or whatever you've planned. Also, the food provided by pump it up was affordable and planned well. Overall I found this to the a lot of fun for all of the kids and some of the parents! read more

Well, I have been there twice for birthday parties. PARTY#1 It was a week or so into their re-opening. They did not want to carry the cake, they did not have a knife to cut the cake and generally speaking they seemed to just rent out the place and have staff sitting around ordering the parents. The parents still paid the full price though and did not seem at all impressed! Neither did I. PARTY#2 More organization. Things went much smoother and the staff was actually useful. HOW IS THE PLACE? So, the children go into a room with play structures and play, while the parents are helping them as well as socializing (it is a closed room and very contained). The children do have a blast I must add. Then you move to another room, where the food is served. Pizza usually and cake. I am not sure if they provide the pizza or if the parents do though. Interesting idea, but I think I would not go there for my child's birthday party. read more

The place is same huge air blown up slides and jumping trampolines The staff were more lost than the guests there Kids wanted to do the rock climbing the staff says you have to be 45 lbs kids mom says yes staff says no I can't believe and can't so ???confused ?? Love this place esp on Friday's for the parents night out. Drop the kids off at 6:30-9:30 and they feed them Mason is wonderful and so great with the little ones. We take the kids there once a month and do a date night. It's a win win for everyone. read more

Pump It Up is SO much fun. Remember when you were a kid, they had those giant inflatable jump houses? Pump It Up is two rooms with different structures that you can jump and climb on. One of them is a giant slide that's like those potato sack slides at carnivals! The rooms are rented out for private parties. I'm not sure about the rate, but for birthday parties, they can cater the whole thing for you. Play time, pizza and soda, cake, and a goodie bag. It's fun for kids or adults (kids at heart)! read more

We had our sons 4th birthday party here. It is definitely a great place for 4 year old boys to have fun and burn off a ton of energy. We had a morning party that started at 9:30 and ended at 11. They give you 30 minutes in each play area and then 30 minutes in the party room to have cake. I loved having their staff help set up the room, cut and serve the cake and then clean up afterwards. It's really stress free for the parents. We didn't order their pizza because it was a morning party. Instead, we asked ahead of time if we could provide little nibbles for the kids that would be more appropriate for the time of day. On Fridays between 10 and noon they have a pop in and play time that we've enjoyed as well. You only have access to 1 of the rooms but it's still a lot of fun. My boys were pretty tired after 1 hour. I noticed that a few of the kids that were under 4 were a bit frightened of the big slides and cried when they went down them. I almost didn't give them 5 stars because their party menu is very limited and they want you to order from them only. I think a there should be a few more options for the morning parties besides pizza and pasta. read more

My 2 year old was invited to an older friend's birthday party at Pump It Up, and even though he was the smallest child there, he had a blast! The staff are super kid-friendly and helpful!! When my little guy kept getting stuck in the middle of the obstacle course, our party attendant was always there to save him! The party and drop in prices are very reasonable. Came here for a friend of the daughters birthday party and had a pretty good time. It was interesting to move from one play area to the next... I guess it went for some good changes in the environment and kept things fresh. The jumpies(is that a word now?) were all in pretty good shape and were well inflated. A lot of the warnings that were posted here and there were good, but so much enforced as just probably liability things so that if someone did get hurt(which one one did) that they would be up there.... which is fine. The food was decent.... Most of all, the kids had a ton of fun. I was a little disappointed that they still charge money for the air-hockey table... and hence the ding of 1 star. a good variety difference from the other places around for kids parties, but still close enough of the same thing to make sure that it'll be a hit. read more

Other days, 20 kids can apparently go down the big slide together, but the world ends if your kid is under 45 lbs on the rock wall. read more

There are three separate room for activities such has jump cage, climbing chamber and sliding. Lastly you come to a room for having birthday cake or pizza and then off you go.... Just had my daughters 3rd birthday yesterday ( 2/17) . I chose the 620pm slot . Which was perfect because she was able to nap prior to her party . I have never been to a pump it up so I didn't know what to expect . Emily & Isabella were my two attendants . They were so sweet and very helpful . Some random kid who was not in my party came in and started jumping . I had told Isabella he was not part of my party & she was quick to escort him out . I loved that I didn't have to worry about setting up for pizza and cake . I brought a wagon full of my supplies ( chips , water , cake , ice cream ) . Stress free . In all honesty Pizza was meh , . Also , I do suggest if you do throw a party bring a pack of water for kids . They go through two 40 min rooms of jumping before eating . Keep them hydrated ! To conclude , my party had fun ! We had my son's 6th birthday party here. I took away one star because although we had a great experience, it was expensive and you have to pay a tip for the attendants in addition. I think I did $20, but I'm not sure. It was also an additional cost to buy the images. I feel like spending that amount of money should include the tip and photos, but I'm a sucker when it comes to my kids. Best place to throw a kids birthday party in the Tri-Valley. The staff is always helpful, the place is clean, and most importantly, the kids have a great time. I've now thrown 4 birthday parties here and we are here almost bi-monthly for friends parties. Not to mention we come for the "free jump" during holidays and summer. My boys love it and they never get tired of it. They are exhausted afterwards and that makes for an early bed time. A win for ALL. Lol read more

My daughter almost got smash by a 12 year boy because he wanted to jump in top of the inflatables instead of going through it. We just attended a birthday party at Pump it Up this last weekend and our kids had a blast! It is a great attraction for kids of all ages and offers a bunch of activities. I was impressed by the staff and their attention to detail. They took care of the party and were constantly checking in to see if everything was going well. It was comical to watch the kids running around playing with one another, as well as some of the parent's. From our perspective, this is a great place to take young children for the day or to celebrate a special occasion. The only downside being that you can not take any food in (besides cupcakes/cookies and water) and have to purchase party plans that include food. I did not know of this until I asked the parent's of the birthday boy who were throwing the party. All of that aside, I would give this place a solid 4.5 stars if they would let me. read more
