Kids always like parties at pump it up, but after comparing with other locations like the San Jose Blossom Hill, I feel the gap is quite large. The facility is newer and nicer there but the bigger difference is in the staff. I hosted a party here earlier this year and I had the hardest time getting hold of someone to talk to about the party. Each email and phone call had to be done repeatedly. I had almost forgotten about this but a friend just hosted here and mentioned the same issue I had. Additionally I noticed at the party there there was almost no staff at the bouncy house rooms. The would walk us to the room then disappear until the next room changed. However, two other pump it ups I've been to definitely always had staff watching over everything. Really hope they start training the employees to be more attentive and responsive to customers. Personally I wouldn't want to host at this site again. read more

Took my two kids for open jump. Not to many people. We were in the first room. One slide, two ounce areas, one ounce area had a combat platform but one of the poles had no handles. Not a fare battle. Workers walked in but didn't seem to care the some kids were throwing the large foam shape up and in to the battle area and the ball were being thrown wherever. The rock walk, air hockey and cyclone machine were all out of order. Love how some parents don't watch their children. Half way through our time they moved us to a second room. Again two jump houses and a slide. Also had an air hockey table and rock wall , but again not open for use. Place looked clean but a little pricey. $25 per person for an hour of jumping and two slices of pizza. Wish air hockey and rock wall were open too. read more

The party typically begins in one room for 30 minutes, then moves to a second room for another 30 minutes. After that, the kids head to the party room for about an hour of fun. They love bouncing around and sliding down the inflatable play structures. With two young kids we've had our fair share of parties at various Pump It Up locations in the Bay Area. Reviewing this one for our daughter's birthday that we celebrated at PIU Santa Clara. Everyone had a blast with their glow in the dark themed party setup. Highly recommend to choose this option if you are considering it! The staff was very friendly. Only reason to take one star away is related to their audio system setup - at one point the audio was playing ads about cancer, medicine, and such, and no one could figure out how to stop it easily. There was no way to plug in our phones and change or personalize the music. We are repeat customers and the last time we had a party at this location was in 2019 and was great. But this time (Sep 2023), the service was absolutely horrible. The service folks had a very callous attitude and here are the observations and of course we are comparing to the service we received in 2019: 1. They didn't write the kid's birthday name on the board 2. They let us use only two rooms instead of three 3. They didn't stay in the play area to monitor for safety and coordination. One of the kids got hurt and they were not there to even help us provide first aid to the kid 4. They didn't provide any hand sanitizer for the kids at the end of the play prior to cake/dinner 5. They didn't offer pizza and cake in an orderly manner to the kids and it was complete chaos The only person who did the job was the last service person who was cleaning the room! We have had party at pump it up in the past and wasn't hassle-free. But this time around, the experience was lacking! First of all, they never pickup the phone and I couldn't get hold of customer service before the party despite repeated calls and leaving voice messages. All the little touches like writing name of the birthday child etc were missing Our party started 15 minutes late and that too. It was lackluster. Someone came up and said that room was ready and we had to walk the kid in. No happy birthday no crown for the birthday boy nothing! Felt that the facility was way understaffed! Kids working we're running around and trying to get things in place. Am not sure if there was a change in management or something but I felt it was a waste shelling out 1k for a party at this location! It's been a week and we haven't even received link to our pictures! As usual, I can't get hold of anyone at the front desk to ask about pictures! Next time, I won't be giving my business to this location and would recommend the same to friends and family! read more

1 star for a place to throw a fun party for the kids. 1 star for our party coordinator, Destiny. A third star for the new management working a little something out. We would recommend this place under the circumstances that they loosen their food policy to allow customers more flexibility on feeding their guests. Their food policy only allows you to bring chips, cake/cupcakes and water. Other than that you have no other choice but to order their food if you want to feed your guests and let me tell you that their pizza is worse than cardboard itself. Very dry, no sauce, thin, poor cheese quality, poor pepperoni quality. There are other trampoline and air filled jumpers to host parties at. Destiny hosted our party and she did an excellent job of coordinating such a large group. She herself deserves a 5 but this review is based on the business. read more

We organized a party for 25 kids on my son's 8-year-old birthday party and was utterly disappointed with this place. We have consistently organized similar size birthday party for our son since he was 3 year old (except 2020 due to covid), and by a long long mile this is the worst experience. Will definitely not come back in the future. 1. We reserved the party over a month ahead of time, and gave guests up to one week prior to the event to RSVP. We clearly stated this when we sign up for event reminder from Pump It Up. The day before the event, Pump It Up decided to send a reminder to RSVP. I can't think of any reason for them doing that other than trying to get more to sign up so that they can make more from the party. Paying more isn't an issue for us, but the fact that we had already prepared the goodie bags with goods that we purchased in our recent Japan trip right before the party, so we had to scramble to find 5 additional goodie bags 24 hours before the event just because they want to make some extra profit, and we felt embarrassed that 5 of the goodie bags we prepared is different from the rest. 2. I called the place to ask for clarification regarding why they sent out the reminder. They said they didn't know anything about the system and asked their owner to called me. The owner called just to tell me he knows nothing about the reminder and asked me to call corporate office. Left a voicemail to the corporate office for them to call me a few days later telling me that they didn't know why the system does that. What a convenient way of pushing away responsibilities. 3. The only food option is to purchase it through them. Despite being way overpriced, we accepted it. $26 for a plain cheese pizza, $44 for a "tray" of 12 tiny sandwiches that is the worst tasteless, bland, dry sandwich I have ever had. We felt embarrassed having to serve such quality of food to the kids and their parents. 4.After the event, when paying my bill, I'm shocked to be told that the tipping guidance is 15-20% of the total bill. I'm typically a generous tipper, but being pressured to tip 15-20% on top of a $1100 bill (most of the amount aren't service related) is just unbelievable. The lady who serve food did a good job, I was planning to give her a good tip in cash, but didn't do it because they making us tip to the general pool based on the total bill amount This will be the last time we organize a birthday party here. read more

Prices seem pretty eye-popping, but when you just want to give your kid a birthday party experience with bouncy houses, slides, and a pizza party, this is a way to do it. They let us have two rooms, with about 30 minutes in each room, which seems about enough before kids start to get a bit bored. Then about an hour in the birthday room, which works well as the kids have definitely worked up an appetite. The blacklights were a nice touch, but not sure it's so appropriate for very young kids - it gets quite dark. Each room has about 3 air-pumped bouncy house/slides. You pay an arm and a leg and think everything will be taken care of but nope. Good - great bouncy houses and great food Bad - the attendees are least interested in their job. I paid for photos and videos and they sent me pics from other parties. These pics were bad and shaken but I can tell they are not from ours. They essentially took 4-5 pics of all the kids in the end which they made into a video and thats the "video" you get plus a bunch of pictures from other parties. $30 down the drain. Our guests gave us gifts which was left in the bun of the play room and when we left for the food room, i asked our attendee if he will bring it. He said yes but dint. We had to go fetch them ourselves later. All in all horrible service but kids had fun. read more

This Pump It Up is the largest and cleanest in the area. We had a birthday party which went through 3 inflatables rooms for 25 minutes each, and then a 45 minute pizza and cake session in a dining room. A shout-out to Felix and Angelica who were super helpful. They helped us with creating different sized glowstick hoops, were very responsive with the lighting changes in each room (black light option), and engaged the kids really well! My only criticism is the pizza quality. The kids don't seem to mind, but adults should eat beforehand. read more

I was initially very hesitant to host a 2nd birthday party for my son with everything going on. Most of the venues in the area just started reopening to the public, which made everything more difficult as I still wanted a private experience. I came across Pump it Up about a week before and realized they still offered small, private parties with enhanced cleaning, etc. Booking the party was extremely easy (all online) and the staff was very friendly when I called with questions. They even gave me a call 2 days before the party to confirm everything (pizza toppings, add ons, whether we needed balloons or favor bags, the whole 9 yards!) We arrived today to check in and again everyone took the time to explain the new procedures, take our temperatures, and asked if there was anything else they could do to help before the guests arrived (we only invited 2 of his cousins). We all watched the safety video and then it was off to the races! The kids were ecstatic!! We were able to play in 3 different 100% private rooms. While it's a little hard for 2 year olds to climb up some of the structures, they still had a blast. All the while, our room was being set up (pizzas, plates, cake, soda, etc.). Once our playtime was up (much to the kids dismay), we were escorted to our private party room where everything was ready. I am extremely thankful for the team here at Pump it Up Santa Clara for making my sons birthday as special as it was. We will be back for SURE for open play/private play. Attended a bday party here. Literally entering the establishment I was annoyed and a bit upset. This is a busy area I understand so parking was limited so we ended up parking in the street which was not an issue. My first issue was for the guy working there (Hispanic/Asian looking) who was helping another family load their presents but saw us walking up the stairs, he was walking in and the kids were running in front of me excited to go here. The employee didn't have the courtesy to help leave the door open which the door closed and smacked one of the kids in the face. Did he stop to see what happened. No. Did he attemp to help out. No. He just turned and walked away with a grin and you could hear me saying how inconsiderate and un-gentleman he was. Otherwise this place is cool. This was our third year hosting a party at Pump it Up, and I must say, they've gotten worse over time. We won't be coming back. This year, we ordered a bunch of extras, including a glow-in-the-dark feature where they turn the lights off. We made it clear from the get-go that we only wanted the lights off for 15 minutes, especially with younger kids in the mix. But when the time was up, the lights didn't come back on. Turns out, they'd been having electrical issues since morning, and the electrician had already left, and they didn't have his phone number to call. So the staff was just walking around doing nothing about the issue. It makes you wonder why they'd proceed with turning the lights off knowing there were problems since morning. So, our little ones ended up spending a good 40 minutes in the dark. Moreover, when I went to check on the pizza and cake setup, nothing was ready. I had to hunt down staff to get things moving. It was a poor experience from the time I booked to the day of the party. Poor communication. I called the day I booked the party and left a voicemail I never received a call back. I had to call on multiple different days and try and get a hold of someone until my call was transferred to a different location. A week or two before I had a question if I could bring a vegan option because I was going to have someone coming to the party that was vegan. No one returned my call. I finally got a call a few days before the party. I was told I had to spend at least $150 before I could bring my own platter. Really?! Wow okay I made the threshold and was able to bring my own plate. I never got instructions on how everything worked this was my first time booking. When I got there I wanted to set up the room and they told me oh you can't set up until later. And we will have people help set up but I told them I wanted to make sure I wanted to have the room the way I wanted. By the time they told me it was time the room was set up and things were lost, things were opened that didn't need to be opened. I was being rushed when I was trying to take pictures of the cake, they were trying to rush me to put the candle on and it wasn't even time to blow out the candle. I paid $44 for a sandwich plate that had maybe 8 sandwiches overly priced. I had the glow in the dark option and I didn't know they gave out glow in the dark necklaces the person watching the room just held on to the necklaces and didn't give them to any of them to any of the kids I had to ask is that extra and they had said no. Had I not asked I would have never known. Bad experience overall, overpriced and no communication. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

I recently had a party here for Saturday night at 7:30pm. It went really well, everyone had such a fun time. These birthday parties are special in our family because we have, like, 4 kids, and about 12 adults and it's like a family team building event. Our age ranges from infant to 60 and we jump, play, and work up a sweat. THE HELP: Kevin was my help for the birthday cake room, and Darlene and Nicole was the help for the jumping room. They were all very sweet and you can tell there's a team bond there. Nicole, was in crutches and so Darlene ask that we go to her for any help, to relieve some of Nicole's workload. I understand if she's in crutches, she shouldn't be working esp with running kids all around, but it wasn't a big deal at all. The camera Darlene used was a SLR. Last year, I had 2 parties at the Milpitas location and it's photo quality was from a digital camera decades ago. Complete waste of money, esp since our phone was 10x better. This time I didn't preorder the photo package but seeing that the quality came out good, I end up buying it. It was Kevin's camera that he brought for the customers and had Darlene use for our party and I thought that was very kind of him. THE LAYOUT: It was cool and an awesome change from the Milpitas location. Santa Clara is slightly more expensive but waaaay less dirty. My sister saw blood splatter/stains at the Milpitas place, none was seen here. The only thing here was someone else's socks left behind from a previous party. Oh well, I guess it blended in with the carpet and was hard to spot. THE COST: Geez, it cost me almost $700. I ordered 3 pizza, chicken pasta, and a fruit tray. Along with the photos for $20. I would never imagine my parents paying for something like this when I was 6...but now that I'm a parent, I see these moments as priceless memories for the adults just as much as the kids. I love that it's a private party and that everyone goes home after 2 hrs :). read more

This location is newer and has 3 jumpy areas with some pretty cool ones - tall slides, sponge ball guns, etc. I've been to 3 birthday parties at different pump it up locations, and the kids always love it, adults too. The staff are pros at taking care of everything and moving kids along. If u have a birthday party here, i'd say theres no need to pay extra for the party theme/adventures (pirates, etc)...kids have a ball with the basic setup. And really no need for goody bags altho ppl always seem to pass them out. read more

My little niece chose this place for her 5th birthday party! This place has some great rooms filled with slides and jumpers, and their staff are also very patient and very good with the kids judging from our experience here. Before the fun, the staff makes everyone watch a safety video and also introduces a little treasure hunt game! After, they took our party to three different play rooms with different activities for everyone. They had slides, jumpers (different types in each room), rock climbing, and a mini interactive computer game. I also liked the little photo backdrop they had in one of the rooms! I wish I remembered the names of the two staff members who were with us because they did a good job with the kids and also being interactive with everyone in our party. They had water readily available and the girl also took a bunch of awesome pictures during the event, which was shown on a slide show during the meal. After the fun and all the jumping, we had lunch and were served variety of pizzas, garlic bread stick, salad, and drinks. I must say their pizzas were really good! It wasn't oily like other kids' places like Chuck E Cheese's! The Hawaiian pizza and the BBQ were the best! This place is a solid four stars. Easily could've been a 5 star rating but they forgot to bring out the chips we brought, so it was never served and a different girl in charge of the meal never bothered to check up on it. We had a birthday party for my son here and the rooms for playing and the staff who monitored the playing were great. However the food was pretty lousy--especially the fruit platter--$30. The fruit was arranged in a circle but about 1/4 of the circle looked decimated because they seemed to run out of fruit so they used smaller pieces. Moreover, the watermelon was white!! I complained about it but the staff did nothing. I know that food tends to be overpriced at these events but this was unbelievable. The host in the party room was incompetent too. It seemed like he had never dealt with children before. I wasn't able to get close enough to take a photo of my son during the birthday song and in front of the cake because the host didn't organize the kids before he started the singing. He also didn't seem to know how to pass out the cake or handle providing more than one slice of pizza to the children. He didn't offer any food to the parents attending so I had to handle that. And he disappeared for most of the time in the room. I felt like his top priority was to avoid interacting with anyone in the room as much as possible. And it was a small party (15 children) so it shouldn't have been particularly overwhelming. I'm giving two stars because the staff in the jumping rooms were good and those rooms were fun and clean. We visited this place 4 times for birthday parties. It's very good for selectable birthday with whole school classmates. Lots of activities, friendly staff. There's extra space for adults to wait their kids. Three times kids are transferring to different rooms to play. One issue that some games like air hockey or turbulence tube not working during the event. I'm not sure whether they work in normal work time or not but lots of kids were sad they couldn't play it at the birthday party. My little one loves climbing on the wall. As for celebrating room. It's big enough to held up to 30 kids. I would recommend to add new menu because after 3rd birthday party here my kids don't like pizza read more

Had a great time here with my son, it got a little crowded for a weekday morning as they have a certain cap of kids they let in. However the experience overall was great because my son loved the 3 different rooms that we visited and did the ice-cream special which was $11 and free cup of ice cream at the end. What I think is pretty smart is to give sanitizer to all the kids at the end. They are seriously like lemmings going from one room to the other just to jump. The staff were kind, the only critique I would have is the amount of kid they let in could be a bit less and the registration requires you to sign in on an iPad versus the staff at the front desk helping you sign up. Again I would return as I am a fan, it tired my kid out and made him dream of jump houses all day---wait not sure if that is a good thing. read more

Before leaving the 1st room the employee with the blonde curls walks through the door, facing everyone, and sticks his entire arm down his pants to adjust himself. If it were a game controller it looked like he did a Left + A + B And the guy assisting in the pizza room had the dirtiest pair of socks on. I've held a party for my son here before so when my daughter wanted the same, I was hesitant. I booked at midnight but called the very next day to cancel because she changed her mind however they wouldn't consider the 8 hr timeframe from when I booked to consider a refund. Additionally, if you choose to have a Saturday party, you are REQUIRED to purchase the "25" package even though you only have 11 kids. This place is not flexible nor family friendly with its business practice. You're better off going to Sky High. They won't charge you $100 for cancelling. read more

Wish I could give negative ratings. I have attended two Birthday parties at this particular Pump it Up and have nothing nice to say about it. 1) The check in itself is extremely time consuming. A lot of time is wasted at the front desk. 2) There has been major shortage of food at both the parties. Pizzas for adults got over before my husband could even get himself a plate. Looks like they are extremely bad at giving an estimate. 3) The server did a pathetic job of serving. She would serve one person, skip the next five then serve the seventh person.
