3/26/25 Getting lunch! Ordered on DoorDash; Samosas, Rice, Tandoori Fish & Stuffed Parantha. Paid for it there and received notification when it would be ready. Go to pick it up!! Arrived and told the worker I had an order to pick up that I made on DoorDash. He seemed in disbelief and I was shocked, thinking it wasn't even made yet..... Thankfully, he came right out with entire order and was nice. He bagged it and smiled. Relief!! Indian grocery store set up upon walking in with Indian decor. They have a bunch of tables if you want to eat in there. Lunchtime!! Order split! Samosa was really great! Sauce with it making it even better! Tandoori Fish was GREAT! Really flavorful! Great seasoning! Stuffed Parantha 1/2 was GREAT too! Mother said hers was Really GREAT! She really loved the flavors!! Lots of leftovers! Good service & GREAT lunch! Highly recommended!!

    The very oily Butter Chicken

We ordered butter chicken and naan on our way back home from a trip. The servings of chicken wasn't that much plus the order didn't come with even a little rice, you have to pay extra for that. While the naan was decent, we were unimpressed with the butter chicken. For one, portions were small and you've got way more sauce than chicken (which is sliced in thin pieces, not strips or chunks). The whole thing was super oily that it gave me heartburn for two days. We've lived in a large Punjabi community before and have had access to incredible Indian food, sadly, we were disappointed with the Butter Chicken here.

Loved this little grocery store/diner.. Once you walk in, you know what you are instore for. The food was excellent. I had some rice and goat curry, and it couldnt have been any better. The portions are just right. If your in the area, this is a must for indian food.

Best butter chicken and garlic naan I've had in Madera ! The gentleman working there is super nice and quick service too ! There's tables inside to sit and eat at and it's also a grocer store with delicious drinks , totally going to be my go to place for butter chicken !

Best spot in town! Feels like grandmas kitchen. Fish Pokora is my favorite! Made to order so you know it's fresh every time.

If you don't go here you are missing out. The food and grocery selection are great and the only authentic Indian selection around. We came to try the food and we were not disappointed! To start, there was a limited menu, so you know everything is going to be a specialty of the cook's. Then you look at the selection and it's perfection. All the classics, samosas and their sauces and paneer, etc. But the knock your socks off was the goat meat curry. O.M.G. You can absolutely tell they used real goat meat. Yum! Perfectly fluffy rice, amazing bread and everything else. We came for the food, but were also very impressed by the grocery selection. Wow! All the shelf stable things you could ask for, so many lentils/rice/dahl/other grains. All the spices! Even a massive gallon or more sized jar of tumeric. Garam masala spices are packaged and ready for you to grind at home and enjoy the smell of the freshly crushed spice mix. Teas galore and treats such as Frooti drinks like in my photo. Such a treat to enjoy this restaurant and meet the owners. They were so gracious when my kids were acting awful running all around.

Delicious food and a very reasonable price. My honey and I got two plates of chicken Tikka masala, with garlic naan and a Coke and paid $36. It was a lovely dinner date .

So good I went two days in a row ! I also tried the chicken curry . Chicken is very tender and the curry and tikka sauce is just full of flavor , can't go wrong with either one . Owner is nice and I look forward to trying other dishes from this place . A friend ended up trying my food , it was her first time trying Indian food and she loved it !

Wow let's just start with, how did we not know about this awesome little treasure. I mean the…read moreservice, the flavor and the transporting into another dimension of food excellence in Madera was mind blowing. Now. You aren't at an upscale restaurant. Give it the same grace you would any other place that shares a space with a market, but if you can get past that- surprises await you. Came on a date night with my one and only Mr. E and with an open mind, some grace and a tummy ready to go we jumped right in. First- the chilled bottle of water was so nice! Next, the young man brought us menus and brought out the cook to help us order- we truly were grateful for the help! After a few nods and some clarification & spice level negotiations we were ready to roll. They were so patient and nice. Ordered: Chicken tika masala Chicken pakora ( all Chicken ) Samosas (wish I had ordered more) An order of garlic naan which was 4 triangles. Then they brought us tamarind sauce and the wonderful green sauce! I'm sorry, im impressed I remembered this much ( also I wish I was hungrier but had a late lunch so we had to tame our ordering). Food rating: Chicken tika masala easily a 5! Creamy and rich! Chicken pakora ( all Chicken ) Mr. E loved these, I can see why the flavor and crispiness were great about 4.5. Samosas (wish I had ordered more) giving these a 6 out of 5! So good. An order of garlic naan 5!

I really enjoyed the food the times I have came here. Not the best but definitely not the worst…read moreIndian food I have tried. The chicken tikki masala was pretty good and so is the butter chicken.

Better than Amritsar!…read more Coming from Los Angeles, we weren't sure where to pick given the many Desi options, but this restaurant was an incredible find. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome by Sandeep Kaur. It was inspiring to see an all-female team running the show with such dedication. The food was beyond authentic. We ordered the Amritsari Kulcha, Tadka Dal, and rice, and every bite was remarkably fresh. The Kulcha was the star of the show--presented sizzler-style under hot tava with fumes still rising. Honestly, it tasted even better than the kulchas we had in Amritsar last year! The Tadka Dal and yellow rice were the perfect, delicious compliments to the meal. We desperately need a North Indian spot of this caliber in SoCal. We're already wishing they'd open a branch in the LA area. Thank you Sandeep kaur for your hospitality and the service.

Second visit here and food was great as before. This time we ordered Samosa Chaat and Hakka Noodles…read morethat came as the first course. Both were a little more on the spicier side than expected. I prefer the regular samosa over samosa chaat. I was missing the crispiness of it. Hakka noodles ended up being too spicy to our niece so we ordered a second one with just the tomato base which was still delicious. Since there was only one server for all the tables and pick ups, it took awhile to get our food. We had plain Roti (1 per order), Butter Naan (4 per order), Shahi Paneer, and Paneer Tikki Masala. Again both of the dishes were flavorful and creamy and had a kick of spiciness. Unlike other Indian places I've been to they do not ask you what level of spice you would like. Roti and rice were nice but I would not order the Butter Naan again. You cannot taste the butter even though it was glossy. Their food were delicious! Hopefully they get more severs for days where it's busy.

First time I've ever ran to Yelp to review!…read more First point and most important... WHY is everyone talking about the prices? Not only is this on par for Indian food. It's a lot more affordable than other restaurants. $5 for three Samosas? That's a killer appetizer for cheap! And they're good--some places put way too much seasoning on the outside. The menu: A lot more variety, and compared to other Indian restaurants the menu is easy to navigate and very Anglicized for newcomers to Indian food. The food: I accidentally ordered the wrong sandwich(I had seen the tikka roll on Yelps ig) and I got the tandoori sandwich but I am not complaining that was amazing and I didn't even know it came with fries. Butter chicken was medium and it was perfectly creamy, slightly spicy, soooo much sauce which is perfect because I dipped my sandwich AND samosas in there. I am so stuffed and I have food left for days(which is great bc if I love anything more than Indians food it's cold Indian leftover straight from the fridge) The service was great, young girl at the front was so sweet and helpful when I said it was my first time. Worth spending my money here at a family owned restaurant that serves up awesome food in a clean and open space--a must try!

Food was quite tasty overall, but if that was their standard portion, I'm not sure I'd return to pay the price point. Don't get me wrong, it was totally decent & I can tell that many ppl really like this place. I'd be curious to try their other items for dine-in.
