My wife and I have been back several times now since opening and love the pizza and vibe. A couple things: 1. It is best fresh, and recommend dining in and grabbing some great appetizers 2. Having been to southern Italy this is the closest you will get around here, distinct fresh flavor and ingredients. That is why it's more expensive than Little Caesar's or Papa John's. 3. Branch out and try some of the unique flavors and ingredients-- it's great alternative to big chain type pizza. Looking forward to the summer and can't wait to go back again. read more

Great food. Pizza is fantastic (though Nutella dessert pizza not worth it). Service is pretty good considering newly opened. Wait time is long but we've mostly gone off hours or picked up so that has helped. One of the best pizza spots in Northern Virginia if you like Neapolitan style. Went for dinner with my brother on 05/03/23. Ordered two pies and the appetizer sampler. One of the pies was very good. The other was the Spinach... at first bite I knew the spinach was rancid. Neither of us finished a slice. We made the server aware and even had her smell it (fishy) and she agreed, saying they had a new vendor. What should have happened is (1) they bring out a non-rancid example or an alternative, or (2) take it off the bill. Neither was done and I wasn't into starting up with the manager. This is my biggest complaint. The appetizer sampler had 5 items only one of which was freshly prepared and that was the smallest item, a fried mozzarella ball. The other items (arancini and potato dumpling) were clearly made in advance as it wasn't easy getting a knife through them and they weren't hot. The taste was fine though. These types of items need to come out of the fryer just prior to service. I want this place to succeed but I'm now wary of returning. read more

We were drawn to the restaurant by the appearance and the Naples theme. The interior was very welcoming and clean. One thing I didn't care for was the Reggaeton music being played, this was a major turn off for me and my family. This restaurant calls for a Italian soft music background or some other music that is not played at a Club. I believe business would pick up if you made this change. I might also suggest having pineapple and chicken as sides on the create your own pizza menu as these are popular topping for many. read more

We read the article about the pizza ovens being shipped from Italy and were intrigued. Definitely was worth giving it a shot. We were quoted a 30 minute wait and grabbed a beer from the bar but were able to be seated just five minutes later. Food was very good and the brussels sprouts were amazing! They also had a large number of staff working, which is impressive these days. Everyone was very friendly, and the hostess was a delight to talk to. I know it's a new store and they seem to be working out the kinks but I literally ordered 3 pizzas and they had really wet dough that just wasn't cooked.... Unmelted cheese etc.... Not really worth the price. Meatballs need more seasoning as they were bland and the sauce was watery. Please keep making tweaks and getting it to run a bit better.... read more

This was my first time ordering at Pupatella. My former colleagues raved about this restaurant. Finally, it's my turn to let them know they were right but no so quick. First, things happen so definitely I am coming back because I think today was just bad timing. And it's a bad sign when my order was ready in less than two minutes literally! As soon as I picked it up the box was cold to the touch. No problem but kind of yes. Worse, there was hardly any cheese, The basil with the sauce had a very bitter taste. However, the charred crust, although slightly soggy, was incredible. I will give it another try in the near future. I still think this is very good Pizza. Unfortunately, right now Whole Foods pizza would have made me much happier and that alone says a lot. read more

They have the best Margarita pizza I've ever had. We went back two evenings in a row just to try different things on their menu. Others in our group ordered the pepperoni pizza, mozzarella balls, and I can't remember what else. Everyone was happy with their food and the surroundings. They have a children's menu. We had a two-year-old with us who was happy with his pizza, too. The service was great. read more

We're always looking for good pizza so we have Pupatella a try. Restaurant was clean and staff was fantastic. We ordered two different pizzas - both looked delicious when they arrived at the table. Honestly kinda meh food. For some reason the pizza comes out pretty floppy and wet, I get it's supposed to be Neapolitan style, regardless, the bottom should still be crispy enough and firm to pick up with out the pizza flopping. But I do love the atmosphere and service. Patio is solid. I don't recommend getting a pizza with extra cheese cause then the pizza will come out extremely wet, just get a regular pizza with regular cheese. read more

I love that Pupatella now has a Leesburg location! I've been to the Arlington location many times before thrilled they are closer to my home. The pizza is always delicious, love the meatballs and other appetizers. The staff is very friendly. I will be visiting often especially with the warm weather where you can sit outside. read more

So disappointed. Nice atmosphere and nice waiter. Ordered two pizzas and came out and cheese and sauce was cold. They remade both pizzas and still like warm and very soggy. This is not good pizza. Need a spoon to eat, not a fork. Forget picking up a piece. If cooked longer and crisper and better cooked cheese may have been better. Won't try again as two pizzas was 40 bucks. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a whole different story...when you walk in the restaurant there is paint on the wall (graffiti) it's so cool to see. They have good customer service they are very friendly and welcoming. The Food is great quality I 100% recommend it. Vanessa was a great help for me and my family we felt like we were bothering her to much but she seemed so eager to help us and she didn't have a problem with us asking her for anything she was the sweetest ever. read more

The pizza here is very good. If I were to compare their pizza to another restaurant's pizza, it'd be Cafesano. The cheese is very yummy and gooey. The one problem that I had was the pizza did taste a little undercooked. The crust was a bit soft but other than that, it was a very yummy experience. read more
