I recently brought my fur baby here for a grooming haircut for the first time. I wasn't keeping up with her brushing so she had knots that were hard to brush out. I had called this place a day before and they were able to take me in the next day. I explained to the lady she had knots so it was okay to cut her hair short. When I picked her up, she looked so much better. The lady at the front was so sweet and I loved that she was so kind to my dog because my dog looked comfortable around her when she's usually shaky. Took my boy in yesterday for a much needed grooming. Super reasonable price for a wash, cut and nail trim. They cleaned his ears too. They did SUCH a great job! He looked adorable and it only took about an hour and a half. The best part was that went I went to pick him up, he was totally relaxed and happy. My review is about the grooming services they offer. I brought my dog here to get groomed on my sister's recommendation. She's usually more than a reliable source so I didn't yelp this place, I just went. Big mistake. I'm a first time owner and haven't owned my dog for long (9 months, adopted him), but this is probably the worst haircut poor Taro has ever received in in his six year existence. I specifically asked for a 'lion' cut with boots, and when the groomer asked me what length of hair, i said 'short'. Maybe I was wrong to say this because they basically shaved him naked while leaving the front third of his body entirely uncut. His boots are okay, but the nakedness makes him look like he's wearing oversized Ugg boots. I was under the impression that 'grooming' involved more than just shaving a dog. It's really obvious there was nothing done with the front third of his body because it's identical to when i dropped him off. I think they gave him a bath, but when he came into my car and shook himself, I was covered in a million hairs, both short and long. His nails are uneven, like they stopped caring after clipping half of his front paws. I realize the price is competitive ($35) but I would gladly shell out the $60 I paid for his previous full groom. Pretty sure I'm going to take him to another shop tomorrow to try and salvage this cut. Literally looks like they took clippers and shaved him at the shortest setting save his mane and 'boots'. Oh, and they left his tail entirely uncut as well. Writing this is making me rage, so I guess that's it. read more

I used to take Molly for grooming at Petsmart but Molly was traumatized there! Found this place and they always do a great job! They know I drive all the way there from Covina so they Finnish her in 1 1/2 hours! They are closed Sunday's! Also if you want them to watch your four legged baby while you shop or eat, they do for a minimal fee. read more

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! i still think back on how my friends dog was really sick because ALL of Sunny's puppies are NOT pure bread even if she says they are. and most CANNOT have puppies. Don't believe me? take your dogs to get checked and see for yourselves. She may seem really sweet, nice & understanding. but that lady isn't stupid. She can lie and sell you a pebble saying it was blessed by the Gods if she wanted to. The prices are reasonable, the staff is extremely friendly, and they're always punctual with grooming. They're super attentive and always ask questions before continuing with grooming procedures. i wish yelp allowed negative stars the ex bought me two puppies from sunny's pet shop (they changed their name) in 2007.... don't get me wrong i love love love my two yorkies (a boy toy and a girl teacup) to death and wouldn't trade them for the world... however, they are not the healthiest dogs and have had many problems incurring more TEN THOUSAND in hospital bills, which is why i have full insurance coverage on both my doggies... and Sapphirez mentioned in her review this petshop was covered on the news along with the petshop at the Beverly Center for selling puppies from puppy mills.. Sunny also told me and the ex that the puppies were from her father's farm in lancaster.... after purchasing our puppies from her in 2007 we frequented the place from grooming and realized the following: 1) she is only nice PRIOR to you purchasing the puppies (obviously wanting the business) 2) i stopped taking my puppies here to get groomed because they took forever (10 hours to get my puppies back).... and secondly Nimo (the boy) always came back with little scars on his poor lito body...identical red marks around his two hind legs like he was TIED DOWN Sunny claims that Nimo bit and scratched them which is a filthy lie because that little boy has never once in his life tried to bite or scratch anyone. the place where i currently take them to now say that Nimo and Moni are the sweetest most behaved dogs they have ever seen.. not to mention that when i tried to look at them being groomed she would yell at me and say that we are not allowed to look... what the hell are you doing to my dog that you cant have me watch him being groomed? 3) this digusted me the most... went to use the bathroom and heard constant whimpering inside the bathroom.... there was a cage covered in newspaper and when i looked inside there was a baby teacup yorkie inside the filthy cage INSIDE the bathroom crying his little heart out... when i asked sunny about the puppy she said he was sick and they are trying to make him healthy enough to be sold.. ummm excuse me i don't think leaving him locked up in the bathroom in a cage covered with newspaper is going to get him better.. business must not be doing so well after all these reviews/bad media on the news and word of mouth because i see her rates have dropped tremendously.. she charged the ex $1000 for our boy yorkie and $1500 for our girl yorkie this place should be shut down and i thought it was once they were covered by channel 11 news and saw the business name change (thought it was bought out by someone else).. seems like they are still running their dirty little business if you love pets stay away from this place they wont receive a penny from me and frankly i think they should be put away and do some time by the way they treat pets... do they have the cutest smallest pets in ktown? they probably do but whats the use of having an adorable loving pet if she/he is going to be sick???? read more

I have a male maltese (6 lb). As you all know, these dogs need extra care for their fur. I have been to multiple places in Korea Town, and I try to stay in one place since they know the detailed care about my dog. (Sensitive skin, light fur, etc.) Unfortunately many have started raising the grooming prices once they start believing that I am overly satisfied. I have been taking my dog to Puppy 4 U for months now. People are very professional and straight forward. (I love how they don't butt-kiss.) And although some time has passed, they are uncoditional with their skills and prices. I personally bought my Maltese from this store almost 2 years ago and I was perfectly happy with my experience. Sunny, the owner of the store, was courteous and wasn't pushy at all. I, too, asked her where the puppies were bred and she told me the same thing about them being bred in a ranch by her father. Yes, it took her a second to answer because her AND her staff don't speak very fluent english since it IS their second language. HELLO ... it's Korean Town. My puppy is almost 2 and she is perfectly healthy and smart so I have no idea where such a bad review came from. Besides, even before you take your puppy home Sunny informs you that all the puppies she sells has a good bill of health in writing and if anything is wrong with the puppy you purchased she is more than happy to take the puppy back and give you a refund. As for her prices, I thought they were really reasonable especially since private breeders who breed at home are almost 2/3 more expensive plus your choice of puppies are limited. read more
