They gave me my best friend! Could not be more thankful. Staff was very helpful and they are helping so many animals find a forever home.

We rescued her almost 2 years ago and I can't imagine life without her! R.A.G. is a wonderful organization that rescues Golden Retrievers and finds them new families. Goldens are a fantastic breed. If you want a companion that will love you unconditionally and that is very easy going and friendly...this might be the breed for you! If you are considering bringing a dog into your family, please check out rescue organizations like R.A.G. There are so many animals out there that need good homes. There are also other ways to help these animals through volunteering and being a foster parent until they can place them in their new forever home. Two paws way way up for R.A.G.!!!

I went to them to…read morerehome my two golden girls and they told me they had a family already lined up and that they could pick the girls up. we agreed on a day and time. The day of I called to verify some things and one of the ladies I talked too thought I was one of her employees instead. she immediately started talking so I didn't get a chance to correct her and I let her speak, I don't interrupt. she continues on to talk about ME and my situation TO ME. While doing so, she told me that were coming to get my animals today and that they were going to a foster, but not to tell me that when they came because they told me they had a family and they just want to get my animals from me, once they do that they were going to just block me. When I finally said, okay hey look you're talking to COLTEN. The guy that owns those dogs. She hung up. I called the owner or supervisor whatever she was, and explained what had happened. She tried to tell me that's not how they operate and yada yada but then I never heard anything back from them. I'm not sure why they have such good ratings. They might have some situations they help and good for them. But if you want to KNOW where your dog goes because you love and care, stay away. If you don't want to be lied to, and made believe your animals has a family already when they don't (which was the only reason I could go through with it). Don't go here.

I am beyond excited I stumbled upon the Animal Benefits Club (ABC)! I had to put my 19-year-old…read moreJack Russel down and was ready to welcome a new best friend into my home. I happened to come across a photo of a little guy named Fritz and I knew the moment I saw the picture; this would be my new little buddy. When I clicked on the picture it directed me to the ABC site. From doing my research, I came to realize that ABC is not one of those shelters that just hands dogs over to anyone asking. They take their time to ensure their dogs are being placed into the right environment for each dogs individual needs. This is a positive in my books because the last thing any dog lover would want is for someone to bring a new pet into their home only to have it returned back into a shelter because it wasn't a fit. Kudos ABC! I followed the instructions and took my time to really fill out the application truthfully and from my heart. Since the majority of ABC's workforce is made up of volunteers, I noticed the disclaimer that they would reach out to me only if I was a match. I anxiously waited hoping I'd be a match for Fritz and was SO EXCITED when the Director of the facility called me. During the call, I was made aware that Fritz had a rough start to his life and had been in the shelter for quite some time because, lets just say he wasn't one for great first impressions. During my conversation I was also made aware that Fritz would need a little "extra" love and time patience if I was approved. I really respected the truthfulness and time I was given so that I was truly aware of Frit's situation and that they took the time to be certain if I was a good fit or not. As I previously mentioned, I had that intuition that Fritz was meant to be part of my family, so I wasn't frightened away by the phone conversation and made my appointment to meet Fritz face to face. When I arrived, I was once again reminded that Fritz more than likely will bark and not be very welcoming to me being on his turf. I let them know I was ready for the challenge and couldn't wait to meet him. As it was explained, Fritz did not want anything to do with me but after time passed, he calmed down and gave my hand a little lick. The staff member (who was extremely sweet) literally had a tear in her eye and told me I was the first person (other than staff) he had ever done that to. I immediately said, "I'll take him"! There was one more step that needed to be completed and that was a home visit which I was pleased to have passed. As the great folks at ABC let me know, it did take extra love to get Fritz out of his shell and to feel comfortable in his new way of life; as he was basically a feral dog and had never had a home. Things moved along in a positive way quickly and I have the greatest best friend ever! THANK YOU ABC for providing so much love to my home and for taking the extra work and time to ensure your animals are placed in the right homes. Much respect!!!!

We FaceTimed and she sent me picture updates and videos. We live in San Diego so we were trying to figure out schedules to get out there but she had already planned on a trip out this way so she offered to drive our puppy directly to us. AMAZING! I initially had contact with them when my first bunny, a sweet and super chill Netherland dwarf, passed away and my widower bunny gal needed a companion. We did a few speed dates with bunny bachelors from both Brambley Hedge and Tranquility Trail and while I liked both rescues, my little lady got along best with a headstrong Angora mix from Tranquility Trail. Fast forward to the present day. The wildlife rescue where I volunteer at received a pet rabbit someone had brought in, found outside in the Phoenix area with a badly broken leg. It had appeared to be an old injury. In working and volunteering with rescues you see a lot of animal neglect and cruelty. Imagine the type of person you'd have to be to keep a bunny that has a painful looking broken leg with exposed bone for that long with no medical care, and then dump it outside in the middle of an Arizona summer unable to care for itself nor move around fully. I contacted Brambley Hedge who responded swiftly. They were able to take the little fellow in and have one of the vets they work with examine him. The staff and I were very grateful they were able to welcome him to their rescue. Thanks for all you do for the little bunny folk, Brambley Hedge! That bunny boy hopefully can have a speedy recovery and have a chance to find the loving home he deserves.
