Right after his cut! Adorable shihtzu cut. He got rained on on the walk home but it's perfect!

William is the best groomer we've ever had. Ezra is so happy when he goes on Sundays with William. William is professional and is so good with Ezzie. Thank you!!

The worst! My pup was sitting in one spot for 5h, basically waiting for us to pick him up! No one pet or touched him for his whole stay!!! Stuff were off, not engaging with dogs at all. Just on their phones all the time. And at the end they sent us this super fake report about his day. It was his 1st time there so I was watching him on cameras the whole time.

Tender bloody injured skin by his tail.

Update-Brandon, the general manager emailed me and sent me a very short. Sorry you you weren't happy with your experience and agreed to refund the gratuity granted I was upset by this, no acknowledgment whatsoever on my dogs, injury how he was doing nothing I think if he would've acknowledged the mistake, I would've been OK with it. I was upset by the response and I let him know that via email he then called me and accused me of cussing him out which was a complete and utter lie. Nowhere in my email did it show that I cussed him out. Was I upset yes absolutely the level of unprofessionalism he displayed on the phone is so indicative of this business. I am obviously upset. my dog was injured. He defended the groomer and said that my dog had a skin tag. Yes he did have a skin tag but it wasn't cut and bleeding when I dropped him off I have attached the screenshots of the email stay away from this business. GOLD COAST LOCATION- I WILL never come back here I'm extremely unhappy with his bath and how it came out, I will pay the service but I will absolutely not pay the gratuity. I have been going to the same groomer for three years in old town but because she was sick, I decided to try them 1. I was told this would take two hours and that I would be called 20 minutes before he was done to let me know when to come pick him up. 3 hours went by so I called and was told that he's been ready for a while yet.one felt the need to call me. 2. He was damp, not fully dry, and he barely looked brushed he didn't even smell good . When I take him to other groomers, they fully brushed him out, and he looks absolutely beautiful. He was barely combed. 3. The little scarf that was tied around his neck was so tight he could barely breathe that I had to cut it off with scissors when we got home because it was choking him. 4. He had a bloody spot and skin tag from where she shaved too close to his tail and then tried gaslighting to tell me that it wasn't there when she trimmed him and it was my dogs fault because he was licking the area it was not bloody when I dropped him off so he wouldn't have been licking the area if it hadn't been cut. While I understand that accidents can sometimes happen if he had a beautiful blowout and a beautiful brush out it would've been fine but he look like crap so I want the gratuity refunded immediately $15 or I will be calling American Express to decline the gratuity. The photos attached from his other Groomer he looks beautiful and blown out and brush very well the other photos is what you guys did.

Pablo was amazing and cared for my puppy Hudson who was is in dire need of a great Groom & Cut. Since he was a rescue I wanted to ensure he received the absolute best treatment and Pablo met & exceeded my expectations. I am definitely a lifelong client! Hudson could not have been happier!!!

We brought our 1-year old puppy to PUPS club River North and when we took him, his toes were bleeding badly. The groomer didn't even mention the accident before we noticed there was blood on the floor. They were trying to make us pay first, and hide the deep cut by putting powder on his toes without telling us until we noticed the blood on the floor. When we found out, they were not apologetic and blamed my puppy for jumping. This PUPS club's environment is not a safe environment for dogs. I would give negative star if I could. I would not trust them to take care of your pet.

My dog 10 months post haircut without a haircut since. Hair is growing patchy all over her body

We took our dog for a cut and I showed the groomer a picture of how my dog looked when she was trimmed. I specifically said I wanted her to be trimmed and emphasized the fact that she was NOT TO BE BUZZ CUT. When I picked up my dog she had been shaved so short my dog would not walk home. She kept sitting because she felt uncomfortable with the breeze on her butt. This experience was 10 months ago and I've waited so long to share because I thought her hair would grow back and it would be fine. It's not fine. She is suffering from shock from the haircut and it has kept her hair from growing back. Apparently this shock can be permanent and her hair may never grow back. This cut ended up costing us over $120 because they made us pay and add tip before even seeing her. Please do not let them do this to your dog.

Mister P enjoying his new pals! Couldn't be more grateful for this place and especially recommend Danya. She updated me my whole trip.

Shout out to @pupspetclub per usual I waited till the 11th hour as we were heading to Dallas (more exciting news to come) and @pupspetclub literally saved the day! Not only did Mr.Presley have the best time and did not have to stay in a kennel but they offer you a service for the employees to take your babies home and dog sit! He also came back fully groomed and I think he already misses his pals ;) major PSA: if you need a place for daycare, training, grooming, over nights Pups is a 10/10 in my book! Thanks so much to the wonderful staff and experience Mister P had this weekend. I couldn't speak more highly of how nice it was to go away and know my anxiety isn't through the roof and my baby was safe! @presleythevolpino

    Penny Pickles, trained by Michael.
    Yale R.

My wife and I have a Bernedoodle named Penny Pickles. Shes a great dog but was biting too much and causing a scene when we would eat dinner. We hired Michael & Alex to come over to house for 1 : 1 training. They came 5 straight days while we were at work making it extremely low lift on our end. After the 5th day, Michael dropped by for one hour to teach us numerous techniques to better support our little Peanut. Michael performed an extremely an informative meeting and we feel much more confident dealing with our little Pickle going forward. She's already shown a huge amount of improvement since Michael walked in our door - I'm writing this the next day. Michael was incredibly skilled, knowledgeable of dog behavior, and made us feel at ease. Him and Alex should be top of mind when selecting your next dog trainer in Chicago. -Yale Reardon

    dogs sliced paw

After two rescheduled appointments within the past week, I finally was able to get my puppy into Pups. Everything seems normal when I dropped my dog off except for the fact their A/C was out* and had fans scattered all over the floors. After 2 and a half hours I get a call and was told to pick my puppy up and that he got a gash in his paw and haven't been able to complete his haircut due to excessive bleeding. At the time Lonny was the groomer who was trying to explain the issue, an employee "Pablo" interjected and started raising his voice and started to get animated getting louder with each response. "Pablo" got so defensive he starts yelling at me and my family member. Absolute worst and scariest experience to see when you're hoping to bring your dog to a safe environment with employees who care about the animals well-being and to get that type of response is disgusting. I'll never be back to PUPs again. Sad and angry employees that take their anger out of on your pets and the customers themselves. That ended with Pablo telling me I need to take my dog to the vet asap, after 4 hours at the vet he was finally able to go home. The manager called me days later and barely apologized and told me that they cannot cover the vet bill even though she confirmed they were at fault. Never go here!!!!

    Puppy area

Really wouldn't recommend this place for their puppy playtime service. The area they keep the puppies in is TINY - the glass corner in the picture is where they keep all the pups. When we took our boy there, there were 4 dogs in that teeny space! Additionally, they don't really engage with the pups or provide any kind of enrichment, just leave them to entertain themselves. When I came to pick up my puppy, it didn't seem like he had had any water, and they haven't taken him out to the bathroom yet (after 3 hours!). Naturally, all that the puppies do is stare out the window or bark at whoever enters the store, leaving them bored and anxious. However, the employees were super nice and understanding when I pulled my pup out early. The bad review is not about them, but rather the facility itself and the organization of the program. For $55, I'd expect my pup to actually get some playtime and proper care, not just be locked up in a room the size of his crate...

Lulu after Pablo's grooming. She looks fantastic!
    Helen C.

Pablo did such a great job of grooming our little pomachon, Lulu. He was so gentle with her and she looks amazing. I am not sure how he was able to get her nails trimmed (she is very challenging with this). However, he successfully got her nails trimmed to a decent length. I recommend the conditioning treatment if your dog tends to get matted. It does make a difference.

So happy after their bath and cut

I will be honest--there was an incident on the live camera feed that was very upsetting to witness, and I was ready to pick Kuma up the next morning. As a rescue puppy, seeing her mishandled by an employee broke my heart. What made the difference was how quickly and professionally Kate, the managerbresponded. She called me within minutes of my email, listened to my concerns, showed genuine empathy, and immediately put my mind at ease. The team took my concerns seriously and ensured Kuma was never placed under that employee's care again. Because of how Kate and her staff handled the situation, I decided to give it couple more days. Kuma was happy, well cared for and enjoyed playtime. Today, Kuma attends daycare twice a week, has a monthly pool pass, and loves her time there. The facility is clean and well maintained, but what truly sets Pet Care Plus apart is its caring and compassionate staff. Thank you, Kate, Monica, and Zoe, for taking such great care of Kuma!

Grooming: I initially took Cooper here for doggie day care since I was working and going to part-time business school. I noticed they offered grooming and decided to try them out since their rate was less than at Kaiser's. The second time I took Cooper for grooming, he came home with such a close shave! Lisa told me they had to take extra fur off since it was matted. I thought it wasn't a big deal until a year later when my husband and I noticed that Cooper's fur was not growing back. We took him to the vet to confirm it wasn't due to a medical reason, and she told us that his fur had been cut down too short that it destroyed his fur follicles. Please see the attached before and after photos. We are distraught that his beautiful fur has not grown back (his neck especially remains bare). Doggie Daycare: The dogs are not given walks during the day. Instead, there are just pee pads on the floor so that the dogs can relieve themselves inside. This can be very counter-intuitive for a puppy who has just learned to be house-trained.

Chicago Urban Pets Review…read more We called Chicago Urban Pets in advance of our arrival to Chicago. We requested their services for 1 hour with our dog in our hotel room while we would be gone for less than 2 hours. This is what happened. Text message to company: Stephanie, Unfortunately, we aren't very satisfied with the services of the sitters. They arrived late, at 11:00 am, for a one hour visit due to "transport issues." We made it clear we were checking out of the hotel at 12:00 pm. We also made it clear we needed a one hour visit between 9:30-11:30 am. We left at 9:10 am and returned at 11:30 am while the sitters were still present. They said they had just gotten back to the room with Ivy. By our calculations Ivy's walk was very short. Additionally, as a result of the sitters showing up late, Ivy had an accident in the hotel and the hotel is charging us a $250 deep cleaning fee and a $100 annoyance fee. One of the two hours that we were gone was dedicated to your services that we did not fully receive and it also cost us an extra $350. I never want to poorly review any company, especially a locally owned company. But I feel I have no choice in this case. Is there anything I am missing regarding your policies for sitters showing up late? Jodi Watson Text response from company: Hi Jodi I am very sorry to hear about these unforeseen's. Additional costs from the hotel is no one's idea of a good time. Looking over our notes and communications it looks like you had expectations that were different from the nature of our policy and I will make sure Sophie calls you Monday so we can clears things out. Best Stephanie, owner Resolution: I spoke with Sophie on Monday, Jan 30th. The company felt a fair resolution would be to charge us $40 for a 45 minute stay, instead of $48 for a one hour stay, although the sitters were alone with Ivy for 30 minutes. The other 15 (ish) was with us present upon our return to the hotel. Sophie stated the policy is that if you book a sitter from 9:30-11:30, they can arrive at any time between those hours. So, technically, they could have arrived at 11:30 and stayed til 12:30 - even with our hotel check out at 12:00. Had we known this, it would have changed our timing of events and it certainly would have changed who we chose for an agency. The Gwen Hotel recommended we use their Consierge service when choosing a pet agency in the future. We feel this is a good idea.
