    Revuelta papusa
    Ronni E.

On a whim, we saw a papusa sign at La Fe and decided WTH, let's give it a shot! We love revuelta papusas and are ever vigilant for the best papusa near Ashburn. I know...Ashburn is good for data centers but not great for restaurant diversity. La Fe has ample dine-in tables and you can even by some bling from the in-house merchant for your date after dinner! Let's get real...we ordered revuelta papusas, chicken tamale, and the chicken steak entree. The highlight was the chicken tamale, which I am not a tamale afficionado, but this was pretty damn tasty! The papusa were okay but unusually wet inside. I would suggest they change the cheese. The curtido (slaw) and the salsa roja were some of the best I have ever had with my papusa. My chicken steak was nicely seasoned and I like how they thinly slice the breast, but it was a little dry. The rice and beans were nicely seasoned, but I would have preferred black or pinto beans, but this is a El Salvadorian restaurant. The service is good and prompt. No alcohol, but that's what the Surgeon General recommends . Very reasonably priced. I think papusas and tacos are like $3, so definitely not a rip off. I'll be back for taco night!

BLUF: Best-tasting pupusas that I've had in the area & still at a great price! Good place for street tacos, too. Food is fresh & satisfying. Service is helpful, attentive, polite, and thoughtful and caring - very rare in this area. It's like walking into your family member's or best friend's home & everyone is happy to see you & feed you! It's not snazzy, but I'm never looking for snazzy. I'm looking for good...REALLY GOOD food. This unassuming low key strip mall restaurant checks the boxes. Whether you eat in or take out, you're sure to have a happy belly. I recommend eating in, of course. The food is much better hot & fresh than it is steaming up in a take-out container, but either way, I'm fairly confident you'll enjoy your reasonably priced meal. Good portions, too, and worth every penny you pay. I'm salivating & longing for more pupusas & tacos even as I write this review. That's my litmus for delish food. I haven't tried anything more than the tacos & pupusas, but I've watched other food come out of the kitchen & all looks fresh & yummy & good portions. I did say it's like walking into the home of someone who wants you to leave with a happy belly, didn't I? Try La Fe at least once. You'll see what I mean & I'm almost sure you'll leave at least satisfied if not totally pleased.

Visited the area for the first time and wanted to try pupusas. We got the fried fish and a bunch of pupusas. The whole fried fish was super tasty, tender, and fresh. $18 is a total steal for a dish that would easy go for double the cost back home. The pupusas were amazing, especially the crazy pupusa with every topping and the loroco flower pupusas. The pupusas had the perfect balance of cheese and cornmeal and was not dry like pupusas I've had before. Service was great and the place was nice and spacious.

Disgusting! $19 for Sautéed Shrimp and I find a big hair Stuck in the dough of the Tortilla! One more reason why I do food prep at home most of the time. Watch out this place is lacking kitchen hygiene and a trip to the hospital for food poisoning is not worth it at all.

Friendly service, great food with generous portions. Tried it for the first time yesterday and the pupusas are delicious with a great flavor. Not too dry and not too greasy. We got it to go and it was great!

The food was amazing. Was in the mood for some Salvadorian and this was the closest place that popped up. I had my expectations low when trying a brand new place but it blew me away. The staff are really nice and the food is amazing, everything is perfectly seasoned and made fresh. It's become a regular spot for me at this point. The inside is simple but nice and it's very large so there's plenty of seating and have never had to wait to sit. If you're in the mood for some AMAZING Latin food. Go immediately

Between my friend and I, we ordered each kind of pupusa, a taco, and some plantains and EVERYTHING was incredibly delicious. We had absolutely no complaints, other than wishing we didn't get so full. The revueltas was my favorite of the pupusas but the taco was really good too. There was only one waiter when we arrived but he was very quick and easy going. The restaurant itself is large, has plenty of seating, and was overall super clean. It's one of those no-frills family places.

This was my first tome trying La Fe! We decided to take our food to go this time. The pupusas were really good, my only problem is they forgot my salsa curtido and I had only noticed when we got home. Pupusas are not the same without it but my friend was nice enough to share. The carne asada taco was just fine, nothing to rave about. The meat was neither juicy or dry but the green salsa was hot and delicious. We also tried the horchata but it seemed to be a powder mix so I would skip it next tome. The service here was good! Our cashier was very polite and packed up our food up quickly. The restaurant seemed clean and was decorated nicely with a ton of flowers for what I presume was for mother's day. I would definitely come back to try other menu items but make sure to check if everything is there if you plan to take your food to go!

Found this place by accident a few months ago. Now every time I come out this way I have to stop in and grab some chicken tacos. I always call ahead now since it is often busy. The chicken tacos is all I have tried. They are full of flavor, pulled chicken, cilantro, lettuce, radishes and pico on the side.

I have no clue what this venue was before becoming La Fe but it doesn't look like a restaurant at all. When you walk in, there's open tables everywhere (no booths) and you just grab a seat, then someone will be over to take your order. I believe this is a Salvadorian thing because when husband and I went to another Salvadorian spot, they did the same thing. We made the mistake of going to the counter to place our order, but that's only necessary with take-out. Together we ordered 3 pupusas, 6 tacos, 1 apple juice, and 1 coconut water coming to a total of $26 and that's cuz husband got a $4 shrimp taco. Tacos are simple, yet delicious coming with radishes, lime on the side, and salsa verde. I added the tableside hot sauce, but didn't read that it was habanero, so I set myself up for a mouth burning sensation. This gave me an excuse to drink his coconut water which was delicious (added sugars in it made it so tasty). My fave pupusa was the ayote (squash and cheese). It was sooooo good and the chicken taco was delicious as well. They obviously marinated the chicken in something because it was flavorful all by itself. We'll definitely be returning.

TL:DR Food is a solid 4, but the environment was not a a pleasant one for me (could have just been unlucky), so overall review is a 3 from me. If you go I suggest just grabbing take out. I've driven past this place many times and always wanted to give it a try since I love Pupusas. Going in I had no clue what to do so I just walked up and read the menu off the wall. Eventually a worker came up to me and helped me which I appreciated. I decided to dine in and ordered a horchata, 2 Pupusas (1 Bean and Cheese and 1 Ayote) and Costilla Asada (Grill Beef Ribs). The food came out relatively fast about 15-20 minutes. Food: The horchata was good, a bit thicker than what I am use too, but the flavor was delightful. The 2 Pupusas were really good, my favorite was definitely the Ayote one. As for the Costilla Asada I thought it was good, but for the price of 17$ I expected more than just 2 grilled beef ribs. There was plenty of other things that came with the beef ribs, but since it was mainly carbs, towards the end I was just eating just rice, beans and tortilla. Service: As for the service, it was great when I came in, since someone helped me, and there was someone cleaning the floors so I had the image this place was relatively clean. What bothered me was that as I was eating, they were just mopping in front of my table throughout most of the meal so as I was eating the food, I only smelled their cleaning chemicals which was not pleasant. In addition as I was done with my meal, no one came to help, so I just walked over to the cash register to pay (while this bothered me, since this was my first time here and there were just 4 staff members looking at me as I just walk towards the cash register, it could just be how they ran the business). As I got to the cash register one of the staff members helped me which I appreciated, but then they asked what I ordered. They didn't really know english so it was hard to describe what I ordered, besides pointing to the table I sat at, and trying to pronounce the dishes. Eventually one of the other staff members sitting down told them what I ordered. Which I thought was unusual since if I ordered shouldn't there be a note or ticket of what I got. So I would give their service about a 2.5 or 3 since the place was relatively empty, and it felt like they just serviced me till I ordered then I was on my own. Overall: For the food I would give it a solid 4, so if you decide to dine here, I highly recommend getting only take out. Since I was not a fan of the cleaning chemicals and service towards the end and would have had a more enjoyable time just eating in my car.

Asada tacos. Super tender beef. Homemade tortillas and pico are delicious.

Pupusas are the best I've had in Northern Virginia. The loroco was on point. Plátanos were also cooked perfectly.

I ordered from here while i was working -- UberEats FTW…read more The food was amazing. I was absolutely thrilled with the amount of food, the taste of the food, and everything about the meal. I asked that they sub the guacamole for sour cream in the order notes and they DID honor that request! I was thrilled when I searched the restaurant to confirm they were in fact a 24/7 operation, and found they indeed were! There were enough supplies to make 3 full soft tacos, but only 2 flour tortillas. I'm glad I ordered extra sour cream, because the dash that they smeared across the lettuce was next to nothing, and it looked pitiful. Please, Two Amigos, have some compassion for us sour cream lovers and just give us a nice big scoop! With the Tex Mex Fajitas you get steak, chicken, and shrimp -- but weirdly, despite the $40 price tag, only 3 large shrimp for 2 tacos - judging from their supplied tortillas... A bit of a rip-off if you ask me, on the seafood side. I wish I could eat this quality and tasty food EVERY DAY! It was SO good!

Two Amigos is a lively Mexican restaurant with tasty margaritas and authentic flavor…read more We noticed the constant flow of diners coming in the place and knew we made the right choice for our early dinner stop. The matrimonial margarita (mango and strawberry) was pretty flavorful without being overly sweet. I wouldn't say it was strong. The standard margarita on the rocks was made well. The chips and salsa held us over while we decided on our meals. An order of wings came out first as an appetizer, I didn't try any, but they looked good and my friends said that they were tasty and hot. We had an order of the seafood burrito and it was good. There was plenty of seafood - octopus, shrimp, etc. the Cancun sauce was good. There was an order of beef tacos that came with rice and beans. The beans style here is runny refried, but pretty good. We also had the grilled chicken and shrimp combo which comes with a salad, rice and beans and a tortilla. Our server was very personable and nice. The main dining area had enough room to dine without feeling cramped. The bar area is a decent size with plenty of TVs to catch a game. The women's restroom needs some handy-work. Overall my friend said they go out of their way to come back, meanwhile the rest of us felt like it was good but not THAT good but if we were in the area we would come back. I enjoyed the energy and food at Two Amigos.
