I literally couldn't believe what I got myself into with this place the most horrible way of communicating and responding back to me after asking a simple question I do not recommend... I was in shock for the way they were messaging me on the phone after I said to stop. They still continued and they end the conversation by blocking me lol I don't understand but seriously zero stars.

They do a great service for the community, taking in animals in need, getting them medical care, and finding their forever homes. We are very happy with the puppy we adopted.

I adopted a puppy, my girl, Coral (used to be named Joy) and they were great. They have saved many pets lives and work hard every day to better this world.

DO NOT go to them their customer services over the phone is terrible they were rude and absolutely no help whatsoever they tried saying I was childish even though I explained to them my situation multiple times and just kept saying they need all the information upfront but they never asked me for any information until later into the conversation this was my first time going to shelter for help and it was terrible now I understand I was being a bit rude as well but that because they was making me real mad so mad I made a godamn yell acct just to let yall know! If I could give them -0 stars I would!

I adopted my pup, Charlie from Pupz N Palz last year and we couldn't be happier. I recommend this rescue 100%

First time adopting a dog , normally get from breeders. Needless to say i will continue coming to support pupz n palz when i ready to grow my pet family. Super helpful, easy and gave me some supplies for my puppy, best part is the little munchkin i can raise now! Thanks guys

I called hoping they would be able to take a stray cat that I humanely trapped, but it ended up going straight to voicemail. I suddenly got a text from them asking if they could help, so I explained the situation. When they said they couldn't help and take the cat, I asked what shelter COULD take the cat, but they never responded. This is not the way to run a business and I'm not the only one to leave a bad review. See the screenshot attached to this review showing proof of their lack of communication skills.

Clearly this isn't the first review for Karri's rude behavior. I kindly emailed them asking for an application. She then asked me for what animal I'd like an application for. I said I was interested in a dog that was not yet available but I wanted an application to be prepared and learn about the adoption process (which is encouraged per their pinned post on Facebook), and she responded in all caps 'READ POST...NO MESSAGES'. I then replied reiterating my initial email explaining I wanted to be prepared and learn about the adoption process. My initial email did not even mention the dog until she asked. She then began to state it was rude to email about a dog that was not yet available as it took away from current animals (although their Facebook encourages rescuers to email them with any questions. See snippet). She was responding to my emails within minutes (seconds even) so if she had time to email me back so fast, I'm sure it wouldn't have been an issue to provide me with information regarding the adoption process. All in all, be prepared to be deal with a person who lacks patience, customer service skills, and professionalism. I hope she at least has patience for the pups in her care.

This is our go to spot for foster and adoptions. Maverick is the most helpful human on the planet. We love how friendly and caring they are of all the animals. Thank You for all you do! Keep up the great service to Modesto.

Karri is awesome! I have adopted 3 dogs, a cat, and a bird from pnp and each experience was wonderful. I see some of their reviews call karri rude but having volunteered in rescue I have learned that they are overwhelmingly busy and sometimes can't get right back to people. When you deal with a rescue I encourage you to be patient as they are all volunteers. I love karri and this rescue and I definitely recommend pnp.

Recently in a tough decision to move to a city with better doctors for my son with autism, we tried everything to keep his support dog but unfortunately central ca is against FHA Laws that is in place to protect her so we could keep her. we've been discriminated against for having her and my son's disability, we've been refused service to apartments in the area, our only transportation is public and they don't allow her either. I was told this place could help, but after rude and poor communication skills I wouldn't call this place a rescue. It seems there Facebook posts are for clout I would say. They wouldn't give me an answer as to why they couldn't help but instead said I'm giving up on her, which I'm not, the area is. No wonder the surrounding areas are full of animals.

She was about a year old and as we were looking for a little kitten Iwas not to sure about getting a 1 year old cat but my boys just fell in love with her in the little room they have there at this place where u can hold the animals and see what kind of temperament they have but like I said my boys just fell in love with her and I pretty much did as well. So we paid the $60 and we took her home and we kept her in our house for about a month and we didn't let her out because I herd your saposed to leave the cats inside your house for at least two weeks so they don't just run away and don't come back if u don't. So we over did it but once we let her out the whole neighborhood fell in love w her man. We live just 3 houses down from a school and when the school let's ou and before school when all the kids get dropped off all the kids would pet her and just love on her. I'm not even kidding everyone fell in love with our cat Bimo. Anyways, the problem with her was she would try to sneak into my car if I had the door open before I left and she try to get into everyone's car who was outside. All the kids who were getting out of schools cars the UPS drivers trucks, I mean everyone. So I'm am so worried someone else will fall in love w her and take her. She's chipped and has all her shots and is fixed because all the cats down there are. So there's no worries there but I'm just soon scared she's going to get taken. Otherwise it's pretty hilarious but we are all verry happy w her. She's the best. No kidding. Thanks Stnislaus Animal Services. I'd leave a picture of her here for the review but I don't know exactly where she is right now. She's outside chatting around right now. She always comes home for the night at dinner time though. So I'm not too too worried that someone's taken her. NOT YET THAT IS. HA HA

We walked in shortly before closing, and the 2 employees at the front desk today seemed unhappy,…read moreextremely rude, and gave the impression that they just wanted to go home. Instead of being welcoming, the focus was repeatedly on the fact that they were closing in 10 minutes lol.. I understand that staff members have schedules and closing procedures, but when you're working at an animal shelter, 10 minutes can make a difference. That's 10 minutes during which an animal could potentially find a home and avoid euthanasia. I've heard about the complaints this shelter has received, and unfortunately, after this experience, I can understand why. The staff could benefit from improving their attitudes and customer service. People who come to shelters are there because they care about animals and want to help, and they should be treated with respect and kindness.

When we first arrived there, we noticed how peaceful the place was - none of the incessant barking that you encounter at the local shelter. Their grounds were well maintained. We were told the dogs are let out to run in the yard for 3 hours a day. Their website has a bio on each pet so you can read a background info on each one. Obviously when it's an owner surrender they have more information on the pet, less so if the pet was a stray. But even then, they observe them while at the shelter to give you an idea what to expect. Their system makes it easy to adopt. I recommend sending an application in to get approved first. Once you've been approved, just call to make an appointment to see a dog or cat that you would like to meet. They will hold the dog or cat for you until your appointment. This is different from local city shelters where you might see a dog or cat listed online but it might be gone by the time you get there. Their adoption fee ($350) is fair as my dog was already microchipped and his shots were updated, except for rabies. I was a bit surprised that he was released without updating his rabies. All in all, I would recommend PetsNPals to anyone looking to adopt. They definitely care about the pets and try to make their shelter stay as pleasant as possible. Please adopt, don't shop for a pet.
