I had an extremely disappointing experience with Valley Pet Care. I brought in two dogs on separate appointments to be spayed and paid deposits for both. For the first dog, I was called right before surgery and told her heart rate was a concern and they would not proceed unless I paid for additional testing or signed a high-risk waiver. I then took her to another vet who said she was healthy and cleared for surgery. For the second dog, I again received a call right before surgery saying there was another issue, this time about retained baby teeth, and that the staff member who handles that was unavailable. I was told the recommended option was to take her elsewhere so she would not need anesthesia twice. I followed that medical advice and took her home. No surgeries were performed on either dog. Despite this, the clinic refused to refund my deposits and blamed me for "not following through with services." I understand that medical concerns can come up, but being notified at the last minute twice, having no procedures done, and then being told my money will be kept is unacceptable. This does not feel ethical or fair, and it is not how a professional veterinary clinic should treat clients who are trying to do the right thing for their pets. I would strongly caution other pet owners to ask detailed questions about their deposit and refund policies before booking, and to be prepared for last-minute changes that may still cost you money. read more

I have had 3 spayed and neutered and now have 2 more that need to be taken care of....the staff is great, although it is difficult to get someone to answer the phone, they are a busy place......other than the difficulty in getting to talk to someone, I recommend these folks 100%. read more

I can't say enough good things about the team at Valley Pet Care. I had 2 senior dogs (16) & littermates and they were having some concerning issues that were getting to be overwhelming for me to give them medications or help with incontinance. I took them to another local low cost spay clinic and they turned me away because my dogs were walking around without looking in their mouths or asking questions regarding their health then the Dr shamed me. I don't recommend going there if you want any compassion, night and day difference. Valley was so accommodating and realized that I did NOT want to put my girls down and it was sooo painful & still is 2 weeks out. I recommend this place to anyone & everyone who wants a positive experience. They also neutered my 2 male kittens 6 months ago with no complications. The rescue I foster dogs through needed a good value spay/neuter clinic so that we could stay within budget for our rescue dogs. This place was perfect for it! The pricing is very straightforward, drop-off and pick-up are well organized, and the staff were very nice despite the high volume. My current foster dog healed up very nicely without any issues and the sutures looked professionally done. We will absolutely bring future foster dogs here! read more

I brought my sweet cat here to get spayed, and she's doing great. I'm very grateful for this low-cost pet clinic. The Dogwood Animal Rescue Organization is terrific for covering spay/neutering surgeries (if you live in eligible areas). Kudos to Valley Pet Care for partnering with them. Customer service was a mixed bag. The younger lady who checked me in was pleasant and helpful. I had already filled out the form needed, so check-in was faster. However, there was another cranky woman. It's obvious she doesn't like people and likes barking out orders. She snapped at a man who reached for a clipboard. She said," Wait! I'll hand it to you." No smiles or pleasantry. If you don't want us grabbing clipboards, don't arrange them on the table like we're at a buffet. Maybe put them in a box and hand them out when ready. The doors are locked. Put up prominent signs like: "Please wait outside. We will call you when it's your turn to come in. Thank you!" At pickup time, I heard that cranky woman telling people to wait outside and back the hell up. Just kidding - she didn't say hell. But I heard her thoughts, and she yelled back the F UP! The worst part for me was waiting in line during pickup. I was 2nd in line. The vet came out flirting with the first and last ladies, said come in, and completely ignored me. Maybe they were all friends. The lady in front of me said she didn't pay yet. I said I paid online - can I go in next? He didn't apologize for almost letting the last person in first. When the other ladies came in, one of them laughed and said, "Now you let the blondes in!" It was awkward because she was overly flirtatious, and he kept staring at them while robotically explaining to me what he did to my cat. For a second, I wondered if this man was racist. But I think he was just socially awkward and unprofessional. I didn't want that kind of attention, but at least be courteous to everyone, not just the blondes. Would I recommend this place? Yes, because it's affordable. Bring your pets here if you're patient with lousy customer service (just a couple of them, not the whole staff). If this kind of behavior makes you uncomfortable, then find another place. read more

Very nice staff, so that makes a time-consuming and stressful situation of hauling in a pet better. I was pleasantly surprised that it was a fairly easy process, once we actually got an appointment. Instructions are clear and the process smooth. I didn't want a rabies vaccine, but that was mandatory. My one suggestion would be to have a waitlist for cancellations, as it felt almost impossible to get an appointment. Mine was random dumb luck after 6 months of checking their website. Yes, 6 months. So if y'all ever have a last-minute cancellation, literally hundreds of us would probably like to know! We have 50 feral cats running around our neighborhood, so you will never be without business if you just make a waitlist and give some of us a call. We had a good experience at Valley Pet Care getting my 10 year old re-homed dog neutered. I was able to get a break on the cost of the neuter so I took advantage of the other services and treatments offered. All costs were disclosed up front. Frequent reminders for my appointment were appreciated and though not everyone can be expected to be warm and fuzzy I got professional treatment by all. The vet explained everything to me after the surgery including how to dose the medications. I was 100% satisfied with our visit. I'll be back for vaccinations in the future. The work was done, my dogs were spayed, but even the small amount of time spent dropping off and picking up the dogs was unpleasant because the front end lady has no manners and has zero interest in dealing with people. read more

Wow! They are really rocking (even with Covid in full swing) I was texted TWICE to remind us of appointment. (two cat spays) one two days out, one the day before. Get there at 830 (as asked) masks required of course and you take a number... then they call by number (everyone there was on the list) fresh clipboard and a pen for me to keep (for agreements about pet etc) I was updated twice during the day (one was to inform of a small change the other to let me know they were done and I could go at three to get them) went at three and they brought out my girls, went over charges/changes gave me medicine and one of the vet techs helped me get them to the car. They have both faired very well - one is already acting like nothing happened, the other one (which was at one time a feral) is enjoying the pampered life I think... I have some yard cats (ferals) that I will be bringing to them. Their level of care is excellent...and even though they were VERY busy, it felt personalized this time around. I will likely give names to the ferals as I fix them but I'm sure they will be treated well. Thanks for the good care and I'll be back with the yard patrol. read more

Valley Pet Care is a very good low cost Vet for Spays/Neuters and the general care for my puppy. She's 8 months and 4.8 pounds and her name is Gucci. I went yesterday 4-22-21 and it was a very good experience for a first time pet owner instead of it being a family pet. I guess she's a little spoiled by me because the lady who helped Monica I believe is very nice and she told me they were hanging out because Gucci seemed to not stop crying haha. My poor baby was taken care of very well and they got me everything I needed and then some. Very Low cost also another place wanted to charge me $350+ just for spaying. read more

We brought our dog here for spaying. This location, although far from our home, was part of our adoption package. We weren't sure what to expect under COVID conditions. However, in our brief morning interactions with the staff, we felt comfortable with the care. Some of our paperwork was missing, but instead of it being a major headache, a simple receipt pushed to their email account resolved the issue. They were well organized upon arrival with everyone's pet having their own clipboard and pen to avoid cross contamination. Upon pickup at the end of the day, we were provided with one on one instructions on how to care for our particular pet post-op. Since she is a bit more active, they gave us some pointers on how to keep her calmer during recovery. Our dog does not have long fur, so we have been able to observe the incision daily. It is now about 5 weeks post-procedure, and we are happy to say that she has healed well. There were no complications. We can barely see the scar. We are extremely happy with the care our dog received here. read more

I'm happy that the doctor was able to get us an appointment so quick but the multiple lady's working the front door are horribly rude. This morning when we dropped off our cat 7-7-22 at 8:25 am the older lady seemed hungover and pissed off with any questions I had. I got over it quick and moved on with my day. Oh well big deal. Then when my wife arrived at 3:10 to pick the cat up (pick up time was 3:15) She had our newborn baby and walked up to the door, the sliding door was not opening and she stood there for over 5 mins and finally tried to open the door . Well a Hispanic younger women yelled at her and said no no do not try to open the door. She said well I'm sorry I've never been here I didn't know what was going on I am hear to pick up our cat. Then they proceeded to wrap up the appointment and she was on her way holding the carseat with the baby in one hand and the cat carrier in the other . Our baby is 5 months and 17lbs my wife is small and not once did any worker standing there offer to help her carry the cat to the car. That is b.s and really is what makes me mad. What was she going to do leave the baby unattended in the car? No I'm sorry but that's not going to happen. The doctor is awesome but the customer service of the other workers is horrible and this needs to be addressed. read more

Definitely recommend this place !! The staff are all very nice and helpful ! Very well organized and I had no problems at all ! I got both of my male cats neutered here and my experience has been amazing ! They text you 2 times before your appointment to remind you as well as instructions on what to do when you get there ! One of my cats did have some bleeding after surgery however the vet inspected him again with no charge and gave him some additional medicine to help and even kept him another day to closely monitor him! (As that was one of the many options she gave us !) They also called me the next day to checkup on him and reminded us to call anytime again if we have additional questions or concerns ! I was recommended this place after we were unable to have our dogs receive their rabies shots during the Saturday clinic. The lady working at the Saturday clinic informed me that I can call in and have my parents bring in our 4 dogs during Valley Pet Care walk-in clinics with a possibility of them coming up to our car and giving the rabies shots if I explained our current situation. She informed me they are really nice and it might be possible to make this arrangement. I currently live in San Jose and my parents are unable to bring in 4 dogs at once since my father is receiving shoulder surgery this month and should not be using his arm. I tried calling during work hours and no one picked up and when my parents arrived they did not want to perform the required shots and told my mom to bring them during the next Saturday clinic even after she explained the situation. Now I had to cancel meetings I had in San Jose to assist my parents and bring our dogs in on Saturday. There is a possibility that there was miscommunication that occurred during the interaction, however, I do not think I would bring my dogs here. read more
