Friendly Donuts is some of the best! We have been here only a few times, but I have always left happy! They are open 24 hours and they are known to offer many VEGAN options. This is great for those with food allergies. The location is well lit and has a decent size parking. The inside has bench seating and nice decor for photo ops. The staff here were efficient and hospitable. On a recent late night visit we scooped up a few vegan donuts and pastries for my wife and I saw a Dubai Chocolate I could not pass up! The vegan donuts all tasted great and that Dubai one was amazing. I love coming out here to Friendly Donuts for a delicious treat and because my wife can enjoy an array of vegan donut selections. Over a decade ago I went to Friendly Donuts in Orange and I was so underwhelmed. Recently when my boyfriend mentioned seeing Friendly Donuts from a YouTuber he follows, I was open to trying it again. It's been so long. I was rooting for them to improve. I was optimistic as we pulled up into their little parking lot. There was a lot of improvements to the donut shop. Definitely new paint, new fun back drop, a wide selection when we came during the weekend. We ordered a Canadian Favorite ($4.50), a Pistachio Donut ($3.25), a Maple Cruller (Promo $1), and a Dozen Donut Holes ($4). We were full from lunch but we wanted to try the donut holes right away.. .. .. ugh... disappointment... so dense. Not a fan. My boyfriend ate the pistachio donut said it was not bad, better than the donut holes. His theory is maybe they do better cake donuts than yeast donuts. I microwaved the Canadian favorite which is the maple with the bacon and it wasn't hard since it was warm, flavor was good but just about as good as all the other donut shops. Oh the seating the did have along the side of the little shop was a bit tight and the surface could use some cleaning. It had a lot of donut crumbles from previous patrons. I feel like the latest visit is a smidge better than my last visit. I do see improvements but I wouldn't go out of my way for this place. It's probably an okay option for locals. And I still don't feel like they're friendly... sorry when you name your place friendly donuts, you set up expectations for your staff to be friendly. read more

Orange County, meet your new local donut dealer. Friendly is not the only good thing about this donut joint. What's also excellent is the variety of delicious donuts they have to offer. Donuts, cronuts, and mochi donuts .. Friendly Donuts has got them all. And the best part? They are very affordable compared to other fancy donut shops around. I came to pick up a dozen donuts to take to a friend's house this morning. I decided to upgrade to a dozen mochi donuts when I found out a dozen was only $32. I've tried donuts here in the past to know that they are tasty as well. In a time when most prices are inflated, I appreciate that Friendly Donuts has kept their prices fair. Stopped by Friendly Donuts on my way back home from a road trip. I'm so glad we stopped, because they had a nice selection of vegan donuts for my son and regular donuts for myself. I dropped by around 9 pm and got the buttermilk glazed, peach cobbler, guava apple fritter, red velvet, and french cream. The donuts were excellent. Guava apple fritter was delicious, crispy on the edges and had really good texture. The only small suggestion I would point out is that the glazed buttermilk was a little dry. I highly recommend this donut shop. I appreciate the variety of donuts offered while maintaining really good quality. read more

An excellent little donut shop in OC. I've been here a few times already, and it's always a pleasant experience. The many and unique donuts to choose from, breakfast croissants and sandwiches, coffees, a variety of beverages, and more! They offer some great seasonal and monthly special items. Always looking forward to what they create. They also have some classic donuts as well if that's your thing. One of my recent orders was the turkey cold croissant sandwich with avocado, cheese, and the works. It was tasty and filling. A few more recent favorites are the glazed ube and blueberry donuts, breakfast and cold croissant sandwiches, Green Thai Tea, and many more I can't remember. Browsing the tasty-looking treats is also an enjoyment. They also offer a variety of gluten-friendly and vegan donuts. Nice to know they are aware of dietary needs. The prices reflect some of the premium offerings, but it's definitely a nice treat once in a while. The staff and service have been friendly and efficient, getting customers through quickly. Once inside, the fun decor and the mouthwatering display of goodies enhance the experience. I'm looking forward to visiting again when the sweet cravings hit. read more

Very good donuts, very nicely decorated, it seems like they're on social media a lot lately. Service was nice, but I do want to mention that we purchased five donuts and it seems like he wanted us to buy even more. They were delicious, but A little bit more expensive than the average donut place. I try to visit there, as I'm driving down Santiago Canyon Road. This place is home. Alan, Mimi, bless you both. Came here after 48 hours in hospital while my wife was in labor -- came to give the nurses some mochi donuts. 12 hours later, my daughter was born. Already had my great coffee from Better Buzz Coffee (2 doors down), and had a craving PLUS wanted to bring some back to share for the fam: Adorable. So cute inside. Wow factor. Friday night got a whole lot friendlier after stopping by Friendly Donuts for a box of goodies. Got excited pulling into the parking lot because how else are you supposed to feel when about to indulge in some donuts. Storefront is super cute with fun art and color schemes. Immediately ate with my eyes when I saw the variety of sweet treats hosted across the shelves. Went for a glazed old fashioned and glazed cruller. Loved both. Pricing is all reasonable considering the quality and freshness. Caleb was amazing and made an already enjoyable experience even better. Pro tip: come towards the end of the day and they may throw in a few extra goodies on the house. Really happy Friendly Donuts is only 13 mins from home but that can also be dangerous. Will absolutely be back. read more

These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

I used to live up in Cowan heights and would pass Friendly donuts up and down the hill several times a day. Unfortunately for me, fortunately for them I would stop by a few times a weeks d get my fix! They are simply the best donuts in Orange County after I moved about 6 years ago I don't frequent here as much because I simply don't go by here. Tonight I was in a desperate frenzy for a Apple Fritter. I called ahead of time because I didn't want to drive all the way across town Incase they were out. The kid who answers the phone was really friendly, hence friendly donuts and was have a great tome at work. I asked him if he had any apple fritters and if he could put one on hold for me he immediately said yes what is your name. I drove around town to pick up my apple fritter I was anxiously waiting for and when I got there there were three or four guys working there and I have never met a friendlier group of guys. They were so funny I didn't even want to leave . I ended up not only getting the apple fritter but a sugar twist and a cinnamon roll too. Located at the corner of Hewes and Chapman, Friendly Donuts is one of those mom-and-pop places that are liberally sprinkled through the OC. Everything about this spot is just lovely. Lots of parking, spotless shop and, as advertised, a friendly staff. Note: I would bring cash since there is a surcharge for credit purchases. If you are hanging out at home in your jammies and don't want to get in the car for your sugary sweet donut fix, then you can order through Grubhub. Overall the donuts were just OK. I got three mochi donuts and a regular donut for comparison. They also have cronuts, but I've never been a fan of those. The regular donut was just your basic donut, and if someone brought a box of them to work I wouldn't say no. The mochi donuts were just... meh! I can't say that I would partake of those again. Well Friendly Donuts is the best donuts in town I've seen cops from other cities and stop and get there donuts and coffee. When i went in the afternoon and when I ask them how old was there coffee? they said 2 hours old but they said we can make you a new pot of coffee for me I was really happy with my fresh coffee and donuts. They open 24 hours and they have a spot for day old donuts there from yesterday and there half price and they are still tasty too. The donut shop is own my a Asian Family they have 3 sons from 10-18 help there parents at the shop and they love working there and when I see kids helping there parents I always want to come back to that shop. When I get a donut they sometimes always give you free donuts. There always clean with there tables and cream for your coffee is cold. The donuts prices are from 75 cent - $1.75. My wife and I hadn't eaten a donut in months. It was late Saturday afternoon and we suddenly had a yen for one. I went on google to find a place that would be open on Saturday evening and had good reviews. I actually drove 15 miles to this place. They didn't have many cake donuts left to choose from so I just selected a dozen variety, bear claws, a couple of cake, glaze, only one maple bar left, a couple of the cream filled canoles. I must say, they were all terrible. On top of that, I was charged .75 for using a credit card. My total bill was $19.75. I could have gotten better tasting donuts down the street from our house (if there were open) for around $5-6 a dozen. We happened to meet Allen/Alan(?) during our first visit there and he treated my daughter like a VIP. He told her that they could work together to make the perfect donuts for her friends, even offering to let her submit drawings of what she had in mind. So she did just that. They are open 24/7 and I can here late at night with my boyfriend and the outside area threw me off because it looked a little sketchy but once we went in we were so surprised by the amount of assortment they had regarding donuts and desserts. Had an ube donut with blueberry glaze for $1.65 (what a rip off). The blueberry on the donut was all shriveled up and looked like it was a week old, so I threw it away because I didn't want to get sick. The donut also had red specks in it??? The donut didn't taste like ube at all, it just tasted like a regular plain cake donut. The donut itself was okay, but to me it just looks like they put purple food coloring in the dough to make it purple and over charge you for it. You're better off just ordering a plain donut with blueberry glaze. I thought the ube donut from DK's in Tustin was better, but neither one of them tasted like ube. I won't be coming back to this unfriendly place. read more

Wow, I am truly impressed by this donut shop! The variety of flavors here made it so hard to decide which one I wanted to try. This time, I chose the Ube Crossiant Wheel and Banana pudding, but I will definitely be coming back to try their other flavors as well as their mochinuts. Biting into both of these donuts felt like a party in my mouth. The crossiant wheel had the perfect amount of crisp, filling, and sweetness. The banana pudding was so fluffy and creamy. Overall, this donut shop deserves more hype and tops other donut shops I've been to and I have no complaints. Ohmygosh!!!!!! BEST CRONUTS aka DOSSANTS YOU CAN EVER GET AT THIS DONUT SHOP!!!!!! They make 2 batches everyday one in the morning and one in the evening I went during the evening they just told me they just made a batch of there dossants! It's suepr cheap $3.25 for a piece! it was flaky warm it was just amazing it melted in my mouth!!! They only had like 10 left but while eating in there dining room 4 more people came in about those dossants aka cronuts!! They are amazing!! Had to try there "Ube donuts" and I do have a taste of Ube. People that posting saying about they can't taste the Ube ?! Wtf is wrong with you. Obviously they don't know what Ube taste like. The taste of Ube is a light flavor not a heavy flavor. I can definitely taste it in the glaze and the plain one ! And awesome fast customer service keep up the good work! Friendly Donuts are the best donuts In OC. $1.50 is a reasonable price ! Some people complain about the pricing but I see you with a $600 wallet. Amazing experience! We were looking for donuts last night around 10pm. I looked on yelp for 24 hour donut shops in my area and this gem came up! From the outside this place looks like your average donut shop but once we got in we saw the amazing selection. My boyfriend got a maple bear claw and a peanut butter and jelly dossant which they made it to order specially for him. I got the strawberry vanilla dossant it was to die for! I'm so use to the dozen deals I donut places that every time I'm at a donut shop I feel obligated to get about a dozen. Next thing you know I'm racking up 27 bucks worth of donuts. Ah wells thug life. The service was average. The dude wasn't really enthusiastic but it was pretty late and I guess he was getting aggravated with all the donuts I was picking up loll. Ok so I've going to this place for about four months now because I'm working in Silverado Canyon....There donuts are excellent! It's hard to pick one favorite but I think the Blueberry Cake Donut is my favorite! I live in Glendora and live very close to donut man....I must say I like Friendly Donuts better than the Donut Man!
