I absolutely loved this Açaí place! I ended up coming two days in a row since it was so good! The build your own is one set price and you're able to add whatever toppings you like! That is very rare! They had different flavor bases, chia pudding, fruits, nut butters and all the toppings that you can put on top (coconut flakes, cocoa bits etc.) The place was very clean and they have plenty of seating for you to enjoy the bowl. The service the first day was really great, the service the next day was not so much. She was serving her friends so they were talking about everything else and catching up as a line was forming. Soooo I just got a notification that the restaurant had to be closed during a health inspection last week/this week not sure if it's true but it was on the OC Register. I guess they could not clear the inspection round for certain health violations. And honestly I wouldn't be surprised. I invited a friend to this restaurant it was her first time eating here. Pro tip: do a Yelp check-in and get 20% off a large bowl. Normally a large bowl is $15, but with the discount, it is $12 (the same price as the medium bowl at full cost). My wife and I split a large bowl and got acai with vanilla chia pudding. The loaded it with bananas, strawberries, and mango. Also, we added almond butter, bunch of seeds, and more stuff. The person who prepared our bowl was great! I wished I got her name, but she was awesome and stacked the bowl. Even though the prices aren't the cheapest, it was definitely worth it for the quality and quantity they give. Speaking of quality, the ingredients were all very good. Everything tasted great and it was so refreshing to eat on a warm summer day. I honesty think this place is probably better than Blue Bowl. The hours here is much better too. Came in Friday around 11 and the was a couple others in the store but didn't have to wait long. I brought my little sister who had never had before and the worker was very nice in answering her questions and letting her sample. I ended up getting the cocoa bowl and it was so good but also so sweet. Definitely more of a dessert than a healthy smoothie bowl . The inside is small but nice and bright for if you eat there. I live 6 miles away from here and the fact that it got here in less than 20 minutes is insane. Will definitely be ordering from here again. I did not have a good service experience today at Pur Bowl. I asked to put 12 ounces in a 16 ounce bowl so that I would have room to mix my toppings in since they overflow. The worker serving me just blankly stared at me for a few seconds and grabbed a 12 ounce bowl and was flat out rude. Then as I was adding my toppings I could tell that the base was already melting. I am already a fan of the Fountain Valley location, so I was already expecting to have a good experience, and I was right ;P They share a parking lot with Nguyen's Kitchen, and there were a decent amount of parking spots when I went in the morning (not sure if it would be difficult to find parking during dinner/weekend hours). Either way, definitely a better parking situation compared to Blue Bowl next door, lol. I love their many options for bases, and I always tell myself to try something new, but I always end up getting their acai and matcha base LOL. The workers always cut up the fruit in front of you, and arrange it so prettily in the bowl! You also have different options of chia seeds, granola, butters, and various other healthy toppings. Service was quick, and the girl helping us was very sweet. Inside, there's about four tables if you want to dine in, and the large windows really make the inside bright and welcoming. I wanted to try this place for their Ube base but when I tried to order it, they said is was reserved for Yelp Elites only! Huge bummer! A new acai bowl spot that is open late. Located near choc hospital and right next to Nguyen kitchen, the parking is difficult to get in or out. But the bowls are delicious! Per recommendation, I tried the acai and berry base with my choice of toppings. The base was very flavorful. (Even though I put half in the freezer to finish later, it didn't get icey like other acai bowls.) The proportion of base to chia seed pudding to toppings was just right. I ended up getting a premade bowl, the Amazon. My girlfriend got the tropical and we both loved ours. Coco-Lina - 4/5 The best tasting out of three that had decent consistency. You can really get a Pina colada taste out of it! It wasn't too sweet and flavor really came together. Wow, wow, wow! We absolutely loved Pur bowls, we'll definitely be coming back! This was our first visit so we didn't know what to expect but they have so many bases to try from! We tried the Acai, Mango and cacao and loved all 3. The bases aren't super sweet so it's a perfect balance with the fruit that they have (the pineapple and mango were the best). The cacao is super chocolatey and the other bases taste super fresh. I sampled the Pur berry but it wasn't my favorite. The chia pudding was super vanilla flavored so if you're not a fan I would opt for the matcha or cacao. The original granola was good as well, adds a nice crunch. We're the type of people to get lots of toppings and I got all the fruits except apple and my bowl was packed to the brim. Lots of options for almond butter and superfood toppings. Service was amazing as well. The two girls that helped us were super patient and offered samples many times -- to all customers that walked in while we ate. The restaurant is small only 2 tables inside but the look is simple and clean. The also have a cute logo on the wall.
