Very disappointing experience. On March 6th 2026 around 8:45pm, I was standing at the register waiting to be helped while two female employees clearly saw me but never came over to assist. After waiting a few minutes, I moved behind the line for the self-service screen since no one acknowledged me. A few seconds later, a Caucasian couple walked in and went to the same register I had been waiting at and were helped immediately. My sister, who was with me, even asked if I noticed what happened because it was so obvious. I told her yes. My family and I have been coming here for a while, but the new hires have very poor customer service. This experience felt disrespectful and discriminatory, and we will not be returning. read more

This is my second time trying this boba shop. I came to claim my birthday reward. Parking: There's a large parking lot. Finding a parking spot is easy. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with a decent amount of indoor seating. The tables and chairs are clean. Their logo is in the back and a green succulent wall for photo opportunities. Service: Each time I've visited, I noticed they're very low staff. There's only one worker in the front and probably one in the back. I remember my first visit a few years ago, I waited over an hour for one seasoned fries. During this visit, thankfully I didn't wait too long. The workers are attentive and nice; just need to work on faster throughput and efficiency. Drinks: The menu is very overwhelming. The seasoned fries were really good. I ordered a Thai Green Tea with 50% sweetness as my birthday reward. 50% was the perfect amount of sweetness. The floral and pandan taste definitely came through. I enjoyed this drink. Yummy! I love Simple Boba. I prefer getting it in store though. I don't recommend delivery. This time we did delivery, and I was disappointed. The food was cold or soggy. The drinks were not as good as well. My cheese fries were gross. They were soggy. I ordered cheese fries thinking they would put the cheese on the side. It's a go to order, so that makes sense right? Nope. They put the cheese on the fries and then the Doordash driver drove it to us. By that time, it was gross. I couldn't even eat it. The beignets were good, even on delivery. Still very yummy! As a huge fan of Vietnamese bánh mì, I can honestly say this is the best Vietnamese bánh mì I've had in Orange County. The highlight for me is their homemade jambon (Vietnamese ham). Unlike the fatty pork belly that many bánh mì shops use, their jambon is lean, flavorful, and incredibly delicious without being greasy. I haven't found this style of Vietnamese ham at any other Vietnamese bánh mì shop in Orange County. The pickled carrots are perfectly made--crisp, fresh, and well-balanced. The bread itself is outstanding: crispy on the outside, yet soft, airy, and pleasantly chewy on the inside. Every bite has the perfect texture. They are also very generous with the fillings. Each sandwich is packed with plenty of jambon, fresh cucumber, and pickled vegetables. The portion is so large that one person may not even finish an entire sandwich in one sitting. Another detail I really appreciate is the packaging. The sandwich comes in a beautiful, elegant box that looks clean, modern, and professional. It's a small touch that shows they truly care about quality and presentation. The prices are very reasonable for what you get, and the staff are always friendly and provide excellent service. The dining area is beautiful, quiet, clean, and comfortable--an ideal place to enjoy a great meal. My only complaint is that they often sell out! Sometimes I place an order only to find they're out of bánh mì or don't have enough available. That's probably the biggest sign of how popular they are. Loved this place so much that my boyfriend and I came here two days in a row. Drinks wise -- we have tried their Strawberry Smoothie, Strawberry Green Tea, Potted plant milk tea, and green tea. Our favorite from the four so far is the strawberry green tea & potted plant milk tea. We also tried their Popcorn chicken & Korean Style hot dog (Hot Cheetos with cheese & sausage) both were delicious. No Dash came in for pick up no other customers They couldn't give me a receipt, the girls told me the owner is not answering her phone so that's why she can't give me a receipt cause only the owner knows how to. I usually get their popcorn chicken and the calamari legs because it's sooooo good, but it has changed now. The calamari legs are so hard to eat! This is so upsetting. It used to be fresh and soft even if it's cold. This time, even if it's hot or cold, the calamari is hard as a rock. To my surprise, they had a new drink "banana cream matcha latte" I AM A DAMN SUCKER FOR BANANA CREAM MATCHA LATTES!!! one of the workers told me it's one of their newest items and for me to give an honest opinion, I didn't think much of it, but I took a little sip without mixing it together and I was shook! I then mixed it all together and it tasted even better! I placed a phone order for some popcorn chicken to accompany my meal last night. It was ready by the time I arrived which was great since I live nearby. It was a bit steep for what it was, but what ISN'T expensive these days? Wife and I crisped it back up when I got home and honestly, the first bite was very disappointing to both of us. Personally, a good popcorn chicken is heavily seasoned, like literally on the cusp of almost too much, but this was the exact opposite. It was exceedingly bland and was in dire need of some salt. However, the sauce they give you on the side (you get to choose by the sound of it when I was placing the order) was good enough to save it. I think it was the Simple Sauce? Not sure. Although, even that sauce was a little odd at first. It was very... fish sauce forward with a bit of tamarind? At least that's what my wife and I detected. Personally I think it's a bit of a bold move to offer such a sauce considering most people who aren't Asian are not familiar with the umami bomb that is fish sauce. Anyway, it was sweet, savory, and sticky and enough to save the popcorn chicken which was alright in my book... Although like I mentioned, a good popcorn chicken wouldn't need the sauce to do all the heavy lifting. The inside is nice though, very clean and modern, and very "millennial." When asking, the girl at the front could not provide any detail other than "our teas are premade with non-dairy creamer", so long story short, you can't customize your drink. She couldn't tell us what the creamer base was made out of if it wasn't dairy, just really bizarre. Got a smoothie and it separated quicker than I would have liked.
