I enjoy Purr Bowls and have no complaints about the food itself. My issue is with how orders are prepared and served. DoorDash initially estimated my pickup in 10-20 minutes, so I made the 15-minute drive. After arriving, I found the pickup time had been pushed back by roughly another 30 minutes. I noticed my order had already been started but was left sitting until I let the staff know I had arrived. By then, the açaí had melted into a watery, smoothie-like consistency. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I've picked up an order only to receive what was essentially an açaí drink rather than a properly thick açaí bowl. If orders are delayed, they should either update the pickup time before customers leave or prepare the bowl closer to completion so it's served fresh. read more

Came by around 11am and had a really good experience. This açaí spot shares a space with another food place, but there were plenty of tables open and the whole area was clean and quiet. The person making our bowls was super kind and patient while we figured out what we wanted. She moved fast and was generous with the toppings. We got the Amazon bowl with cacao nibs and the Very Berry bowl (no banana, no coconut flakes, with mango and peanut butter). Both were delicious, flavorful, and fresh. I wasn't really a fan of acaí bowls but now I'm starting to like them more and more. I was surprised that Pur Bowls had so many different bases to choose from (matcha, mango, acai, coconut, etc.) I decided to make my own bowl instead of choosing a set one. Of course I went with mango & it did not disappoint. It was amazing. They do have chia puddings, but I didn't get any. I added classic granola, banana, strawberry, blueberries and mango. They also have pineapples and apples. Two types of butters, peanut and almond (didn't try). They have different seeds, pink salt, Agave syrup, cacao, matcha and cocoa powder. I didn't add any of that. They do have a chamoy one which looks so yummy & I can't wait to try it. Will update once I do. I really wish they had a location near Arcadia or Pasadena. I would be there every single day lol. Service was good, they're open late & seating available to enjoy your bowl there. There's also Nguyen's Kitchen at the same location. We were craving for açai bowl with lots of fruits and came across this location on a Saturday night at 9:30pm. What I love about this place that Nguyen kitchen and Pur bowls are in the same restaurant. Staff were friendly and helped us right away, they still had a great selection of fruits and toppings to choose from at this hour. They have a big seating area and huge parking. OH MY GOSH, this place has one of the best açaí bowls I've ever had. I took my last college final and spontaneously made a trip here to celebrate cause it was a short drive away. The lady who helped us was so kind. I didn't get her name, but what stood out to me is how she offered samples of the bases when I felt torn on what to get (I was feeling very indecisive that day). There was one girl that was working who was super nice. This is nothing against her. I would give her 5 starts but the business practice would get 0. Unfortunately, me and my partners cars were both towed because we were in a rush to get to a concert. I hadn't seen the signs around the lot saying 2 hours only. (It was dark, and it was a complete oversight on my part) I knew we weren't parking over night which is typical rules of general parking plazas. I do want to note that there were plenty of spaces when I arrived and plenty of spaces when I came back to the parking spot at 11pm. My car was towed at 10:40pm. In total, it will cost us $1134 for both cars. It is 3am and I just can't sleep. I think it would really help if there were more obvious signs lower, saying things like no observatory parking. Typically 2 hour only parking is also labeled on the floors in parking spaces. It was my first time at the observatory, so I was not familiar. I'm sincerely sorry for being so inconsiderate and parking near your business. I didn't think it would disrupt you in anyway. I would like to suggest that Instead of letting the neighboring lot (where I was supposed to park) take $15-$30 per car. You can maybe consider offering parking vouchers for anyone spending over $30 dollars at your business instead. I hope this review helps others. (It was a brutally expensive lesson but there were a few others towed as well, so I feel that this was an easy mistake to make.) In case other patrons are wondering why I'm posting here, the tow company shows who called for my car to be towed. Although I assume this must happen so often, so maybe some changes could be made, instead of punishing potential new and possibly returning customers for an honest mistake. First, they allow free samples, which was super helpful for someone so indecisive (me) and the fact that they had so many options to choose from! The base options includes the basic açaí, matcha, chocolate, and many more. The girl building my bowl was super friendly and patient because I was stressing about how many options there were! After many samples, I settled on the açaí and puralina/coconut base which was a YUMMY combo, and I credit the her for letting my take my time sampling.
