Chewie and Mellow satisfies this craving so well! I got the mango coconut mochi drink and mango pomelo sago. The mango pomelo sago was so good! Was recommended to this cute place by a friend! Right outside of John Wayne, there's this tucked away plaza with a bunch of food places, and Chewie and Mallow was right inside. The cafe itself has you order at the front, and there is a small, but cutely decorated seating area that leads down a hallway. (No bathrooms by the way, so you will have to go elsewhere if looking for that). I saw that they had a promo for a free milk pudding, and I tried to register for an account, and my friends and I ordered enough to make the cutoff, but then the guy at the register said that the account had to be another day old before I could use that promo sadly. We ordered the strawberry milk mochi, the mango tango, and the mango pomelo sago milk. All of these were delicious, and I really liked the smoothness of the mochi in my strawberry drink compared to 3cat's mochi. Drinks came out decently fast, and overall good service. It's such a cute little shop that I discovered a few doors down from our favorite ramen restaurant. I ordered the Sweet Tofu Mango drink and the Peach Princess Bowl. I was a little hesitant about the Sweet Tofu Mango because I had no idea what tofu would taste like in a drink. To my surprise, it was absolutely delicious! The flavor was smooth, creamy, and refreshing. I saved the Peach Princess Bowl for lunch at work the next day, and it was just as delicious--fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying. The only downside was the customer service. The guy who helped me was pretty monotone and didn't seem very interested in being there, so the experience wasn't as welcoming as I had hoped. That said, the food definitely made up for it. They even package your order in an adorable to-go bag, which was a nice touch. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu! read more

Just happened to be at the center and stumbled across this cute fun place! The sign out front caught my eye, so I decided to try one. Then, decided to get two. (Hahah!) When the guy saw I spent over $15, he told me I get an ADDITIONAL one for free!! OMGGG... So here I am with 3 perishable items all to myself. This is such a cute place I couldn't stop taking pictures! The coconut pudding is really reasonably priced, and the coconut flavor was very strong and delicious. There's a good variety of toppings for all of the coconut dessert, desserts and I'm already planning on going back to try some of the other flavors. It's a pretty small café, but they do have a row of seating along one side of the restaurant so you can definitely find a spot to sit with a friend or two. Worker answered any questions we had about the drinks and service was pretty good, but we were also one of the only customers Peach princess bowl was good for the price (~$9) considering how many toppings you get and its not too sweet. Something I do remember about them is that they have the cutest decor inside that's great for photo opts. Ordering is super easy with the kiosk out front, and it takes about 10 minutes for the order to be ready. I got the mango milk pudding and the tropical mango bowl. The mango milk pudding was probably my favorite of the two! The mango on this one tasted sweeter, and the milk pudding was also slightly sweet making it mesh well. The tropical mango bowl was filled with slightly unripe mango, sago, jelly, purple rice, crystal boba, and mango pudding. It was a little underwhelming, and even with the added side milk that they give, it doesn't add much taste. read more

FOOD - Got the Tropical Mango that includes Mango Pudding, Purple Rice, Sago, Mango Jelly, Mango chunks, coconut jelly, and coconut milk. The portion was smaller than I expected but it was really good. The mango pudding really goes well with the different toppings. Came here on a Sunday night and there was no line, but a steady number of people stopping by for drinks + desserts. ~the food~ - Peach Princess (~$10): This dessert bowl had a peach pudding base with a bunch of fun toppings like water chestnut filled popping boba, agar boba, milk pudding, etc. I really liked the peach pudding flavor, it didn't taste artificial and was not too sweet! I love that you can adjust the sweetness level of the bowl, we opted for 50% and it was just perfect! I think the only thing was that we were expecting the bowl to be cold, but it was room temperature. Maybe that's how their dessert bowls are support to be lol I think I would still prefer it cold, since the flavors were giving refreshing peach.
