This was some of the better food that I have had. My boyfriend has been meaning to try this restaurant and I'm glad he brought me with. We each had the arroz con pollo which we got with a side salad. When we ordered it we asked for the smaller portion as we were having a slate lunch. Well the food came out and was more than enough for lunch and even some leftovers. We ate at 2/2:30ish and it's now 9:30 while I'm writing this review and I'm still pleasantly content/full from out lunch. I can guarantee we will be back again!

Small quite place. Food was good. Came out fast. Portions are big. I ordered a small plate of chicken with rice and could not finish it. One waitress on a Sunday. Along with other customers , had to get up and ask for our bills. They should be better staffed.

Out of all of them, this location has honestly been the one we've enjoyed the most and the one we keep coming back to. That said, over the past year or two, I do feel the food quality has declined a bit. I recently ordered the lomo saltado (the lower-priced option), and while the meat was flavorful and savory, there was a little too much broth, which made the fries and rice soggy. My husband ordered the tacu tacu with steak, but it felt like there were barely any beans in it. For the kids, we ordered salchipapa. They enjoyed it, but I was expecting the hot dogs to have a little more crisp instead of being soft. What keeps us coming back is the experience here. The restaurant is always clean, organized, and has a really nice ambiance. The staff is attentive, service is quick, and we rarely have to wait or follow up on anything. Their ají verde is still really good too. Overall, I'd say 3.5 stars for the food, but 4 stars for service, ambiance, and overall experience. I really hope the food quality improves because this location has been one of our favorites.

It has expanded and taken up a bit more space over the years, and the expansion is well-deserved. Featuring a Pura Vida Costa Rican flare you have a number of options available for both breakfast and lunch. I've tried quite a bit of the menu, but they are known for their tried and true empanadas. They have about half a dozen varieties and I end up getting at least one of each every time I visit. They're hot, big, flavorful, and the shell is a perfect consistency. The waitstaff is some of the friendliest around. The outdoor seating is also quite nice in the summertime alongside the pedestrian street. In terms of the menu, it's hard to say there is a standout, because I get something different each time, and I have yet to go wrong. Everything here is absolutely excellent, and I look forward to each return visit to come.

I really need to sample the rest of their menu but I was craving the empanadas & tres leche all week. Service was excellent. I took pics of the dining area. So upon doing my research I came across this restaurant. Now of course upon reading reviews everyone said to get there early because the line can get long especially on a Saturday and Sunday morning. So we arrived around 8:30 on Saturday and we were seated right away because it was only two of us . The service was excellent we were seated right away . Our waiter came out and gave us the rundown of the menu . They had a promo menu because of the Devil Wears Prada movie . I did get a specialty non alcoholic drink from the menu which was excellent. We ordered the French toast and the avocado toast with scrambled eggs and it came with smoked salmon on sourdough bread . The French toast was so good and moist you didn't even need to add additional syrup . The food was delicious and the portion sizes are perfect . The restaurant is cozy so if you have a big party make reservations. But you won't be disappointed I can't wait to visit Brunch by De Martino again whenever I come back to New Jersey . Please check them out you won't regret it .

Our Go-To Spot for BBQ - Nothing Compares!…read more We've been loyal customers of BBQ 28 since the day they opened, and after trying many other BBQ spots, nothing else even comes close. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The establishment is split into two sections. On the right side is the takeout area, where you can see the staff preparing everything right in front of you - from the perfectly chickens, steaks, ribs, to the freshly made rice. Their shrimp in garlic sauce is amazing as well as their salads, the dressing is the best, it should be bottled and sold. It's an experience just watching them cook! The food is always hot and ready, and the staff are incredibly friendly and efficient. We usually call ahead to place our order, and it's typically ready in about 20-30 minutes. On the left side is the sit-down restaurant, which has a warm, welcoming vibe. If you just can't wait to get home to enjoy your meal, you can always head next door and dine in comfortably. Whether you're grabbing takeout or sitting down for a meal, BBQ 28 never disappoints. Highly recommend - the food is always steaming hot, and the service is top-notch!
